McCarthy is a strong male with lots of energy and he tries to let everyone around him know, he is the boss (spoiler alert: he's not). Well, that may have worked w/ his brother, but it didn’t work with his new, older foster siblings
McCarthy is working on his crate training but settles after a few minutes. Each morning its as if hes greeting you for the first time; he is excited to be w/ his foster dad. He follows his foster dad everywhere, and will look for him, when he sneaks off to see what his reaction will be.
McCarthy, being part Malinois, and a puppy, is mouthy in his play style. McCarthy is potty trained and has had only one accident, his foster dad thought he just wanted out of the kennel, and not to go outside to go potty. C’mon dad, get w/ the program. McCarthy has bonded w/ his 1 year old Mal foster sister, and will run around the back yard together, all day and night. He does play w/ his foster brother, and other foster sister, until they decide play time is over w/ them.
McCarthy walks w/ a loose leash, but sometimes gets distracted, as he is curious about new surroundings. McCarthy rides well, in a vehicle, in a wire crate.
McCarthy would benefit from an active furever home, and a family that has Mal experience. He likes to run, likes to walk on a leash, and spend time w/ his hoomans.

Each of our dogs are fully vaccinated to include Bordetella, DHPP, DHLPP and Rabies. We deworm each dog and chip. Lastly, we spay or neuter each of our dogs.
Our adoption process includes an initial conversation about the dog to see if the dog is a good match or if another dog could be a more suitable match. We also will complete a home visit. It should be noted that our adoption counselors know the dogs and can best guide any possible adopter with a suitable match.

We are always in need of experienced fosters for the amount of dogs we have coming in. Being a foster is such a rewarding experience. If you are interested please review https://www.calpaws.org/fostering
