Story
Natasha is a wonderful example of the Belgian Malinois breed: spirited, eager to please, and superbly loyal. Natasha, also fondly known as Nattie, would do best in an active home with plenty of outdoor excursions and exercise. If you enjoy running and/or go on hikes often, Natasha may be a great fit for your family!Nattie will also need ongoing training, as she is constantly eager to learn new things and requires regular mental stimulation. No small children in the home would be best as she loves toys and does have a tendency to destroy them. Natasha is loving and enjoys sleeping in the big bed with her foster parents but she is crate trained. She is also house trained and will grow to be a large dog.Natasha has lived with other big dogs and an adult cat. She gets along with most dogs and thrives on the company of humans.Won't you open your heart and home to this beautiful girl? Story
Chief is a kind hearted dog that needs a home where he gets a lot of love and attention from an experienced handler. He loves to go on runs, loves to play fetch with the ball & loves to be loved. We wish we are able to give him all the love and attention, but as we are new parents to our first child, it feels as though it’s un fair to him that we aren’t able to give him the attention he deserves and knows he needs. Chief is a great dog, and is sooo loyal to his people. I hope we are able to find a home for him that’s just as loyal to him.

Story
A super lovely, easy going Malinois! A people pleaser who keeps pace with her person - Run? SURE! Walk, no problem! Ride in the car - ready! Hiking, adventures - learning tricks, par course, agility - climbing, circus dog, playgirl, she is not dominant nor Beta...she is looking to bond and be someone's everything! Very cool dog, she "sit's pretty" and knows other things and is super willing to learn more! Clever, love dog. Updated notes from her foster: Mavis is still the super sweet, loving, goofy leaner she was when she came into Milo and the first assessment was made. I don't have a lot of experience with Mal's so I imagine that she is perhaps mellow for a Malinois, she is definitely not a mellow dog and would really benefit from a breed experienced or working dog experienced home. She is extremely prey driven (squirrels), even though she initially tested ok with cats at MPR....I wouldn't recommend a home with cats or small animals. She has been good with my family's small dogs (though they don't like her due to her size) she has been completely non-reactive to them when they bark at her. On leash, she is about 90% good with meeting new dogs of all sizes, however, if a big dog reacts to her - she will respond in turn with barking or sometimes growling but none of it seems aggressive at all and I think it's more about lack of socialization than anything. I have not tried to have her off-leash because she is extremely fast and agile (can jump very high) and when she is stimulated (sees a squirrel) she literally cannot hear commands and I am not confident enough about her recall to try this. She is actually very calm and mellow in the house, however, she gets very excited/stimulated when we're outside - on walks/hikes. She is not a great leash walker and pulls a lot - I am trying to work with her on heel training, but when she's outside she is not very food motivated so I really have to come up with distractions to get her to focus back on me while walking. She will yip and literally jump and do flips ON LEASH to try and run after the dogs or squirrels. She does not love being left alone or separated from the "pack" at all - so I'd def describe her as a velcro dog. I have been able to leave her home alone for short periods of time, but she doesn't like it at all so she would do best in a home where maybe someone works from home or at least one person is home most of the day. She is wonderful with my nephews (age 3.5 and 8 mos) and is super gentle and tolerant of them. I wouldn't say that she loves kids and seeks out their attention, but she is really good with them when they want to pet and play with her. She of course LOVES people and pets and when she's not over stimulated and is really smart and obedient. She has learned "Place", "Leave it" and already knew Sit, Down, Sit Pretty when we got her. She is such a great dog and would really flourish with some advanced training. 9/2024

Story
Meet Gunner! Gunnar, is a happy go lucky fella. He loves to run around and take in his surroundings. He comes to you for pets and attention. He likes other dogs and wants to play with them. Gunnar is quite the handsome guy. He turns heads everywhere he goes. He is potty trained and will settle down once he’s had the chance to explore his surroundings. Gunnar is estimated to be around two. He does well alone, in his kennel, but prefers to be with his people. Gunnar can be aloof at times, that’s the German Shepherd in him. Gunnar walks well in a flat collar. Gunnar will need some training. We are not sure what his past was like and if he had any basic training. He doesn’t jump on people and is polite around the house. Adult: 1-6 yrs $400.00 Each of our dogs are fully vaccinated to include Bordetella, DHLPP and Rabies. We deworm and microchip each dog as well as spay or neuter. Our adoption process includes an initial conversation about the dog to see if the dog is a good match or if another dog could be a more suitable match. We also will complete a home visit. It should be noted that our adoption counselors know the dogs and can best guide any possible adopter with a suitable match. Please visit https://www.calpaws.org/available-dogs for the adoption application! We are always in need of experienced fosters for the amount of dogs we have coming in. Being a foster is such a rewarding experience. If you are interested please review https://www.calpaws.org/fostering   ##1948917##

Story
Hello, potential forever family! My name is Wylie, and I’m on the lookout for a loving home where I can truly shine. I’m a one-of-a-kind pup with a unique personality that sets me apart from the rest. You could say I’m a bit of an introvert—while I trust a small group of people, I’m learning to feel more comfortable in larger settings with time and patience. What I lack in social butterfly qualities, I make up for in loyalty and love. Once you give me the time I need to open up, I promise to be the best companion you could ask for. There’s nothing I love more than zooming around the yard and enjoying some quality time with my favorite humans! I do have some sensitivities, especially when it comes to loud noises like fireworks. However, with your gentle guidance and understanding, I’m confident I can learn to cope with them. I thrive in a calm environment where I feel safe and secure, and I’m eager to build a strong bond with my new family. Oh, and did I mention I absolutely adore dehydrated treats? They make my tail wag like crazy! If you’re a patient and loving person or family who can devote time to help me trust and express myself, I can’t wait to meet you. Together, we can create a beautiful friendship filled with love, playtime, and lots of fun adventures.  Are you ready to welcome me into your heart and home? Let’s embark on this journey together! ##2146319##

Story
Maverick is a bright and independent boy with lots of fun energy! He loves to play with other dogs and is great with cats but he doesn’t mind separating from the pack and spending time to himself! During the day he loves to spend time outdoors as much as indoors. He is always on alert and lets you know when he senses visitors.  He is kennel trained, and is house broken. We love his big smile, and his big, fun ears which have a mind of their own and are always flip-flopping all over the place! Maverick needs to be fed separate from smaller breed dogs as he does tend to want to eat their food if given the chance.  ##2197081##
