He's had a tough start in life and is still learning to trust, but his progress has been amazing. While he's very shy with touch and startles easily, Boris shows affection in his own gentle way-by resting near you, giving soft kisses, and seeking quiet companionship. He's food-motivated, crate-trained, potty-trained, and knows basic commands like "sit" and "come." Story
Meet Honey, one of those dogs who is beautiful from the inside out. From her deep inquisitive eyes and her luxurious brindle coat, to her affectionate loyalty and playful spirit, she will steal your heart in a second. Intelligent and athletic, Honey thrives with structure and adventure. She enjoys off-leash pack walks and is a joy to train. In foster care, she has shown that she is an excellent candidate for sport dog and more advanced training. She is also devoted to her person. While she does love and revere her humans, Honey also loves the company of other dogs. Her perfect housemate would be a large playful adult male who wants to chase and wrestle with her. She does well with all small dogs too. Honey is crate-trained and prefers a cozy crate, covered and away from noise, where she can chew on a tasty treat. She does not destroy bedding, but is a strong chewer, so she needs something to keep her busy while she settles in. Honey is a healthy, spayed 2-3 year old 80lb Shepherd mix. She is crate-trained, has beautiful teeth and a gorgeous coat, knows basic commands (and learning more!), is food-motivated, does well in the car, and walks nicely on leash. She is currently on bladder support supplements because she tends to dribble when she is excited to see her people. It isn’t constant, and the supplements seem to help. Her prey drive is not strong. We believe she could learn to live with a cat. It is our strong preference that she live with another dog, but not a requirement. We recommend no small children and require secure fencing. If you are looking for your soulmate, please reach out. Honey is waiting for you! Email waggytaylor@gmail.com to set up a time to meet her. California Pit bull Rescue is an official 501(c)(3) and requires an adoption application and $200 donation fee for all adoptions.May 5, 2026, 1:31 pm

Story
Meet Cheyenne, a 3 to 4-year-old lovable and gentle spirit weighing around 45 lbs. This sweet, affectionate gal is a faithful cuddle buddy who will melt your heart. Rescued from the streets of Mexico, Cheyenne's story is one of resilience and trust—she followed her foster father home after he stopped to feed her. Fully house-trained, vaccinated, spayed, and chipped, she is ready to become a loving member of your family. Cheyenne’s laid-back temperament, low prey drive, and friendly nature make her perfect for families with children, other pets, and even cats. She loves cuddling and taking walks downtown to greet everyone, but she also enjoys her naps, chewies, and treats. Don’t miss the chance to give this incredible girl a forever home—she’s waiting to bring joy, love, and companionship into your life. Cheyenne is currently being fostered in Benicia, CA. Story
Benito is 11 weeks old. I got him for free at a flea market. It was an impulse. I didn’t realize how active his breed is. He’s on his chewing stage so he chews up everything. I’m not able to have him inside the house because I have three cats and he is not potty trained. He’s too playful and jumps on everything. Chews on everything. He needs a home and lots of care he loves walks. He’s very active requires attention and lots of toys.

Meet Sadie! Sadie is a sweet, active girl who loves to learn and stay engaged with the world around her. She’s incredibly attentive, very smart, and a quick learner, making her a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys spending time teaching and bonding with their dog. Sadie is looking for a bright, energetic and dog savvy human partner. She needs to continue learning and exploring and conquering new challenges. She will go into protection mode if not kept in check, so dog savvy folks are best - she is protective of people, and the home, is relaxed and social outdoors. Sadie gets along well with both dogs and people and absolutely loves attention from her humans. She was abandoned at Lake Berryessa and survived on her own for several weeks before finally being brought to safety, yet her heart remains incredibly gentle. Prairie absolutely adores other dogs and truly blossoms in their presence, so she would do best with a confident canine companion to help her continue building trust. Story
Tyson is the sweetest dog you will ever meet. He is a 6 year old, 90lb lap dog. Hes great with kids, he respects cats. He gets along with most dogs. He doesnt really like large high energy dogs or non neutered dogs. At the dog park he usually minds his business and doesnt play with the other dogs. He will chase animals outside but when hes indoors with a cat, hes kind of afraid of them! He can be protective and doesnt like strangers to pet him, but he warms up really quick. He knows a lot of useful and fun commands. Hes very well behaved and listens to these commands unless youre in a new space with him. So his recall isnt that great when theres distractions around. He is very food motivated. This is such a hard decision for me to make, but ive been in a difficult financial situation for some time now and cant afford a dog friendly renal and dog walker any more.

A medium- to high-energy dog and in her excitement to be out of her kennel, she does pull a bit so a strong and patient handler would help her get the training and exercise she needs. She does love to play with and fetch toys! While she loves the large squeaky stuffies, she seems to be a digger hiding her prized possessions!Once she's a bit tired out, she'll sit by you for pets. In fact, she seems to understand the "sit" command.
