Story
STELLA IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE ADOPTED!   Meet Sweet Stella! Stella is a beautiful 10-month-old Belgian Shepherd/Black Mouth Cur mix, weighing around 45 pounds. She’s a super smart, energetic girl who is always ready for her next adventure! Stella loves zoomies, long walks, and trips to the dog park/doggy daycare. Fetch might still be a mystery to her, but she makes up for it by being an absolute champ at tug-of-war! Once she finally slows down, she turns into the sweetest, most cuddly pup who wants nothing more than to be close to her human.   This bright girl is crate trained, housebroken, and a very quick learner. She’s still working on leash manners—mostly because she thinks you should walk as fast as she does! Stella rides great in the car and settles well once she’s had her play time.   Stella hasn’t been fully tested with cats, as the cats in her foster home aren’t fans of dogs. She would do great with kids and could thrive as the only dog in the home, or with a confident, playful dog sibling. She would love a home with room to run or a human who enjoys staying active with her.   Stella is a loving, joyful, silly girl who will bring so much happiness to the lucky family who chooses her. She’s ready to be your adventure buddy—and your cuddle buddy too! She is fully vetted. Vetting includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all puppy vaccinations. Her adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to CT. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Stella up north to her new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at: newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com   You can apply to adopt Stella here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net   THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET! Story
Meet Munchie, a playful pup with a spark for life. Munchie’s story began in an abandoned house in Clanton, AL, where she was rescued alongside her Dad, Wiley, and her Mom, Lola. Thanks to her mother’s care and protection, Munchie was as healthy as could be expected from such a difficult situation—a bright spot in a place of neglect. Now growing into her own, Munchie is lively, curious, and full of puppy joy. She loves to play, explore, and make new friends, but she also has a tender, snuggly side that comes out once playtime winds down. Her happy spirit and sweet personality make her the perfect mix of fun and love. Munchie is ready for her forever home—a family who will keep her world filled with security, adventure, and all the affection she deserves. If you’re looking for a pup with both energy and heart, Munchie is waiting to meet you

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please note that we can not guarantee the age, expected weight or breed of any animal. What we provide is our best estimates based on our experience and the information provided by the our medical partners. If breed and eventual size are of great importance we suggest looking into a breed specific rescue or adopting a full grown animal. Unless otherwise noted, ALL animals are fostered and available for adoption on Long Island, NY.  Bobby has been an absolute delight to foster so far. As a Belgian Malinois puppy, he’s got a ton of energy and a brilliant mind. He picks up commands quickly and already knows “down” and “kennel” We’re still working on “sit” and “stay” but he’s definitely making progress. On walks, he’s generally good on the leash, with just a bit of room for improvement. He’s also super friendly with other dogs, loves to play rough, but takes corrections well from other dogs! When we go out, he’s surprisingly calm and sticks close by, showing that he can self regulate and take breaks when needed. Overall, he’s a wonderful pup who just needs the right amount of mental and physical stimulation.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 23, 2025, 9:58 pm

Story
Rip a 4 yr old, Malinois/Belgian Shepherd mix. He is a big boy at 90lbs. Rip is very intelligent and eager to please. He is very food motivated. He knows many basic commands, including sit, touch, down, paw and is working on roll over. He is also crate trained. Rip enjoys going on long walks with staff and volunteers. Rip's walking ability has received glowing reviews, as our walkers have told us he is one of the most enjoyable dogs to walk. Rip enjoys human interaction, and will ask for attention and affection at any given opportunity. Like any good dog he loves a butt scratch, a belly rub and a head pat. As for other dogs, Rip is selective. He enjoys the company of a dominant female, who can doll out and receive some rough and rowdy play. As much as he loves kids of all ages, due to his size and general doofiness a home with children is not recommended. Rip is also not suitable for a home with cats. For more information on Rip Wheeler, call AWS at 860-354-1350 email animalwelfare.socty@snet.net or visit our website aws-shelter.org for a pre adopt application. Adoption fees for Dogs (8yrs and up) is $150 Adult Dogs is $400 and Puppies under a year is $500
