Story
**DIASHA IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE SHE IS ADOPTED** Introducing Miss Daisha (pronounced DAY-SHUH). At two years old, this petite Dutch Shepherd or Malinois/Staffordshire mix is ready to join a loving pack permanently. The ideal home for Daisha would be with someone who has the time and passion to nurture her love for learning, maintain consistent training and exercise, and understands that her breed mix thrives on an active lifestyle. Daisha is a bundle of high energy, intelligence, and trainability, always keen to please. She's proficient in-house manners, leash walking, and crate training, and has an insatiable love for fetch, squeaky toys, car adventures, and she might just be the swiftest dog you'll ever encounter. Seriously, her speed is astonishing. While Daisha gets along well with other dogs, children, and adults, she's likely not suitable for a home with cats. Daisha has been fully vetted, receiving all necessary vaccinations, a 6-month Pro-Heart shot, monthly flea and tick preventatives, and she is also spayed and microchipped. The adoption fee for Daisha is $550, which covers her transportation to CT. A licensed and registered USDA transport company will be used to safely deliver Daisha to her new family up north. If you have any questions, please email newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com Daisha's Back Story (cliff note version) Daisha, an 8-week-old puppy, was rescued by a compassionate young man (current owner) from a relative who failed to provide for her basic needs. Shortly after her rescue, Daisha fell gravely ill with Parvo and required hospitalization. Following dedicated care, she has been nursed back to health. Daisha was allowed inside the house during her first year, she now roams freely in the backyard, which has become her permanent spot. Daisha lived with her owner's mother for about a year until her owner's mother began seeking assistance from rescue organizations to find Daisha a home that could provide the life she deserves.    You can apply to adopt Daisha here:  https://newbeginningsanimalrescue.net/adoption-application THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET! Story
Rip a 4 yr old, Malinois/Belgian Shepherd mix. He is a big boy at 90lbs. Rip is very intelligent and eager to please. He is very food motivated. He knows many basic commands, including sit, touch, down, paw and is working on roll over. He is also crate trained. Rip enjoys going on long walks with staff and volunteers. Rip's walking ability has received glowing reviews, as our walkers have told us he is one of the most enjoyable dogs to walk. Rip enjoys human interaction, and will ask for attention and affection at any given opportunity. Like any good dog he loves a butt scratch, a belly rub and a head pat. As for other dogs, Rip is selective. He enjoys the company of a dominant female, who can doll out and receive some rough and rowdy play. As much as he loves kids of all ages, due to his size and general doofiness a home with children is not recommended. Rip is also not suitable for a home with cats. For more information on Rip Wheeler, call AWS at 860-354-1350 email animalwelfare.socty@snet.net or visit our website aws-shelter.org for a pre adopt application. Adoption fees for Dogs (8yrs and up) is $150 Adult Dogs is $400 and Puppies under a year is $500

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. DeeDee and her sister DOLLY was saved from a high kill shelter in Texas and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 24th September.  We post in east coast states and Canada as we have many families adopt and are happy to make the worthwhile trip up to the rescue. We do not always have time to post all the pictures on each dogs individual page, but we do post a lot of photo's on the rescue Facebook page. DeeDee is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, heartworm and tick disease tested negative and is microchipped with 24PetWatch. She has an estimated date of birth of September 2023 and on 22 September weighed 50 pounds. We have no way of knowing the breed, it is up to individuals to look at the pictures and videos to make up their own mind. The shelter noted the following on 2 September about both girls who were taken to the play group individually: Not feeling quite confident on the leash yet, was carried to the yard. She wasn't feeling confident enough to join in with the others at this time. She was standoffish and could feel overwhelmed at times.   Kennel visit - 5 September Stayed on bed and was licking my hands but when I went to pet her she kept flinching and moving her head. Got off the bed and continued to lick hands but still flinched when tried to pet her. We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks.  She does need an active family who will ensure she gets all the exercise, both mentally and physically that she needs to live a happy fulfilling life. DeeDee is available for an adoption fee of $550 or if adopted with her sister DOLLY the adoption fee is $1,000 for both girls. Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue in SEBEC, Maine to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application. Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.10/21 Zora, Maud, Klaus, Lars,  Edda, and Petra were born to a stray dog who has been staying in the same area for several years. This is her 4th litter. People in the neighborhood feed her, but no one can seem to catch her to have her spayed. We didn't find out about this situation until last week, when we were contacted by an 86 year old lady who is the one taking care of these pups. The mama dog brought these pups up to her house when they were only a few weeks old, and Ms. Fontaine has been trying to find a rescue to help with them since then. Unfortunately, all rescues in our area are overwhelmed and no one was able to help her. I went over to meet and vaccinate the pups last week. They are 5 months old. They are very scared and timid. Ms. Fontaine is able to pet all of them and even allows them in her house. They love her, and she loves them, but we are all afraid with her age, these pups are creating a fall risk for her. They do not jump on her, but wec are worried about her tripping over them. We would love to move them to other rescues if anyone knows a rescue who could take 1 or 2. They are also available for adoption, but adopters will need to be aware that they will definitely be a project. They will take a long time to gain confidence and build trust. They are NOT aggressive at all. I was able to give them all shots with not even a growl from any of them. They just hide and tremble. I do believe they have potential to be good pets, but it is going to require a lot of patience and work.  If anyone is interested in giving one of these pups a  let us know. We are working on getting them all fixed so they wont continue adding to the population. We will also continue efforts to trap the mama dog so we can stop the steady flow of pups.  We are all so overwhelmed. And it is next to impossible to find homes for dogs like these. Spayed/neutered UTD on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and started on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.  Please consider giving one of these babies a good home. They will be so loyal and loving. Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations. Harrisburg, PA 2am FridaysPort Jervis, NJ 5am Fridays Southington, CT 8am Fridays East Hartford, CT 11am Fridays To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 Message or email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
