She loves to learn and shows a lot of potential, but she’ll need a serious owner who understands the Belgian breed and is ready for the structure and commitment that comes with it. She’s not housebroken yet, but she’s working on it, along with learning how to go outside consistently and walk on a leash. Meet Dusty Bun, the sweetest little guy with a big heart and an even bigger personality. This goofy, playful, and happy pup is an absolute joy to be around and already showing what an amazing companion he’ll be. Dusty sleeps through the night (a full 8–10 hours!) in his crate and starts his mornings with breakfast followed by playtime with his toys (his favorite is his tug-of-war skunk.) He’s perfectly happy entertaining himself but loves playing with his people too. Because he plays hard, he naps well and settles quickly in his crate, sometimes even putting himself to bed. When he wakes up, he politely lets you know with the cutest little squeaks. Dusty has already proven he can be left home while you head out to dinner or a workout and does great on his own. While waiting for his final vaccines, he’s been exploring NYC from a puppy sling, calmly taking in the sights and sounds. He’s curious and observant, and often cozies up for a nap in your arms during outings. Leash training has begun and will continue as he grows. Dusty would thrive in a home that enjoys playtime and provides structure—he’s eager to learn and so easy to love. Truly, he brings so much happiness to everyone he meets. Meet Mama Rosa Mama Rosa’s journey is one of incredible strength, devotion, and second chances. She was rescued from Devore Shelter in California, where she not only faced an uncertain future—but also rose to the challenge of motherhood. Mama Rosa did an amazing job nursing and caring for her nine babies, keeping them safe, healthy, and thriving until rescue stepped in. Thanks to her dedication, every one of her puppies got the chance they deserved. After being transported across the country to Brixies Rescue Inc., Mama Rosa has continued to show just how special she is. Since arriving in rescue, she has made remarkable progress. She’s learned basic cues like “sit,” is actively working on disengaging when she notices strangers, and has shown herself to be very food motivated, making training and confidence-building both effective and rewarding. Mama Rosa does well with children (with supervision) and is thoughtful and observant in the home. She is still working through slow, structured introductions with resident dogs, and we are committed to honoring her pace so she can feel secure and successful. What Mama Rosa Needs Mama Rosa is looking for an experienced, breed-knowledgeable foster or adopter, or a home with someone willing to learn and actively work with trainers. She will thrive with structure, consistency, positive reinforcement, and continued guidance as she transitions into a new environment.
