Story
Rip a 4 yr old, Malinois/Belgian Shepherd mix. He is a big boy at 90lbs. Rip is very intelligent and eager to please. He is very food motivated. He knows many basic commands, including sit, touch, down, paw and is working on roll over. He is also crate trained. Rip enjoys going on long walks with staff and volunteers. Rip's walking ability has received glowing reviews, as our walkers have told us he is one of the most enjoyable dogs to walk. Rip enjoys human interaction, and will ask for attention and affection at any given opportunity. Like any good dog he loves a butt scratch, a belly rub and a head pat. As for other dogs, Rip is selective. He enjoys the company of a dominant female, who can doll out and receive some rough and rowdy play. As much as he loves kids of all ages, due to his size and general doofiness a home with children is not recommended. Rip is also not suitable for a home with cats. For more information on Rip Wheeler, call AWS at 860-354-1350 email animalwelfare.socty@snet.net or visit our website aws-shelter.org for a pre adopt application. Adoption fees for Dogs (8yrs and up) is $150 Adult Dogs is $400 and Puppies under a year is $500

Story
Drive, Beauty, and Unflappable Composure! Meet Noni, a breathtaking Belgian Malinois mix! Noni is an athletic powerhouse with tons of energy and drive, but what sets her apart is her cool and calm presence in stressful situations. She does need someone with the ability to handle her drive and athleticism and focus her with exercise and enrichment. Found with her friend Aloha at a blazing house fire, she proved her resilience. While her home burned, she kept her cool, staying out of the way and showing incredible social manners by approaching first responders for gentle lovings—all while her tail was wagging! This girl is unbelievably beautiful and ready to devote her loyalty and intelligence to a loving, active family. Her demeanor in a crisis shows she is destined to be a steadfast and amazing companion. After remaining unclaimed by her owners afterwards, this sweetheart is now available for adoption. Give this incredible girl the stable, loving home she deserves! Currently located/fostering in Texas but available with transport included. Our adoption process includes speaking with current foster/caretaker for additional personality information, pictures, video, and video call (if available). We work with trusted rescue transports that take great care of the fur babies and keep adopters and rescues in the loop the entire trip with dedicated group chats and Life360 tracking, so you know exactly how they are doing and where they are at always. Fully vetted: Spayed Up to date on vaccinations Heartworm tested negative On preventatives Microchipped with lifetime registration Adoption fee: $400, includes transport

Story
Meet Willow Female | Belgian Malinois Mix Willow is a smart, sensitive, and incredibly loyal girl looking for a patient, loving home where she can truly shine. The good stuff (and there’s a lot): • Potty trained and very routine-oriented • Excellent house manners — when she’s free in the home, she’s an absolute angel • Loves to follow her person around, relax on the couch, chew a bone, or sunbathe • Sleeps through the night (and would happily sleep in bed with you!) • Never tried to jump the fence • Walks beautifully on leash and excels at loose-leash/heel work • Neutral and calm around other animals (dogs, cats, chickens, birds, even cows!) • Extremely smart and highly trainable — picks up new skills fast • Would make an awesome hiking or running partner for someone active Training & personality: Willow thrives with structure and mental stimulation. She loves training and caught onto commands quickly, including sit with an automatic stay, down, patience at doors, and even “sit pretty.” She’s eager to work and clearly enjoys learning, making her a dream for someone who enjoys training and bonding through it. With other dogs: She enjoys playing with other dogs and can relax around them. She does show some mild resource guarding (food, toys, affection), such as growling or showing teeth, but it never escalated and was very manageable with supervision and boundaries. With continued training and the right home, this is something that can improve. Crating & alone time: Willow does best outside of a crate when her person is home. She can panic if crated and left alone, sometimes attempting to escape. When free in the house, she’s calm and well-behaved. A home willing to work on separation confidence or provide appropriate management would be ideal. The ideal home: Willow would thrive with: • A patient, experienced adopter • Someone active who enjoys training and bonding • A calm, structured environment • Continued positive reinforcement and confidence-building Willow is a loyal, loving dog who just needs the right person to help her feel safe and secure. In the right hands, she has the potential to be an incredible companion. If you think Willow might be your girl, she’s ready to meet you. Story
Meet Solei! Solei is one of our sunshine pups and she’s ready to find a home that can keep up with her! Solei is a 3 month old pup believed to be a Pit Bull/Malinois mix. She came from a local accidental litter that Project Precious Rescue and another rescue stepped in to help vet and rehome. Like many pups with bully and shepherd roots, Solei is an active girl who loves to run, jump, and play. She will be looking for a home with athletic pitbull/shepherd or working dog experience. These are not ideal first-time puppies unless you have solid plans for training, socialization, structured exercise, and lots of focused bonding time (maybe even a fun job!). Solei has a slightly softer personality than her sister. She can be a bit more reserved in new situations and may watch from the sidelines before jumping in. Once she’s comfortable, she’s incredibly sweet and loves snuggles when she’s ready to wind down. She’s a sensitive girl who responds beautifully to praise and encouragement. She has done well with dogs of all shapes and sizes, especially playful pups who enjoy puppy antics. An active dog friend would likely be a great match for her. She may also do fine with a savvy cat, though she hasn’t met one yet. If you think Solei’s energy and personality would fit your lifestyle, please visit www.pprct.org and fill out an adoption application!

Story
Meet Suvi! Suvi is one of our sunshine pups and she’s bringing the energy! Suvi is a 3 month old pup believed to be a Pit Bull/Malinois mix. She came from a local accidental litter that Project Precious Rescue and another rescue stepped in to help vet and rehome. Suvi is bold, confident, and always on the move. She loves to run, jump, and play, and will need a home with athletic pitbull/shepherd or working dog experience. These pups aren’t the best fit for first-time dog owners unless you’re ready for serious commitment to training, socialization, structure, and plenty of exercise. While she isn’t extremely drive-heavy, Suvi has very high energy and can be mouthy and jumpy like many working-type puppies. She needs someone who will channel that energy with training, engagement, and structure, not just a yard. Suvi is fearless and loves rough-and-tumble play with the big dogs. She takes corrections from them well and might even have a future in parkour! Because of her enthusiastic play style (and slight wrecking ball tendencies), she would do best with active, playful dog friends rather than low-key or senior pups. She may also do fine with a savvy cat, though she hasn’t met one yet. If you think Suvi’s energy and personality would fit your lifestyle, please visit www.pprct.org and fill out an adoption application!

A great kind soul who went in to the local pound in California on 2 April with 20 other dogs, some made it out and some didnt. Lissa is a nice dog, easy going and would make great companion dog. And she would love a home and love to be an only. She is not happy at the rescue and we pray she finds someone who will want to take her in for the rest of her days. She will not fail you. Zero aggression and so much love to give. Her adoption fee is 175$
