Courtesy Posting Attention Belgian Malinois Lovers! Meet FLORA- located in Quincy, MA Flora , a 3.5 year old Belgian Malinois, is ready for her new home! She is spayed, house trained and UTD on all her shots. She is also smart, playful, loyal and is very typical of the breed. She came to the shelter as a stray and appeared to have had little training and was frightened and reactive in her new, strange surroundings. Flora has been in training for the last 2.5 months, and is flourishing with positive training techniques and consistent reinforcement! She’s a fast learner, walks well on a leash, and is thriving with structure and regular exercise. Flora will need to be the only dog in her new home and is looking for an adult only family who have experience with the Belgian Malinois breed. She’s done so well in her training that her new owners should have the ability and time to continue her training and reinforce what she has learned. She is so eager to please! Adopters must be willing to meet with her current trainers so that her lesson plan and positive learning techniques can be passed along so she can continue to be the be best girl she is capable of being. If you are interested in giving Flora a forever home or want more information please e-mail: adoptions@quincyanimalshelter.org or leave a message for Jeannie at: 617-376-1349 Thank you! Flora is a Courtesy Posting and is not an SGRR dog.

Story
Very good boy Ace went for a sleepover last weekend at our CEO/Founder's house and this is what her family reported: He got along great with our large/older female. He tried to hump her (even though he's neutered) and she let him know quickly that she was NOT having that and he stopped and was remorseful right away. Because he responded so nicely to her correction, I think he would be good with all dogs. He is housebroken and knows basic commands. He walks nice on leash and rides nice in the car. When he went to the vet for his heartworm test and updated vaccinations a few weeks ago, they reported that he was a very good boy. They could put hands all over him with no push back from him. He didn't pay much attention at all to the clinic kitties so I would think his prey drive isn't high. His energy level at my house was very nice.....medium at best. I'm older and don't have much patience with shenanigans, and he was a very mannerly houseguest. I was surprised actually at how nice he was considering he was in a very new, unfamiliar place. This good boy is just under 2 years old and about 55 pounds. Ace is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Rip a 4 yr old, Malinois/Belgian Shepherd mix. He is a big boy at 90lbs. Rip is very intelligent and eager to please. He is very food motivated. He knows many basic commands, including sit, touch, down, paw and is working on roll over. He is also crate trained. Rip enjoys going on long walks with staff and volunteers. Rip's walking ability has received glowing reviews, as our walkers have told us he is one of the most enjoyable dogs to walk. Rip enjoys human interaction, and will ask for attention and affection at any given opportunity. Like any good dog he loves a butt scratch, a belly rub and a head pat. As for other dogs, Rip is selective. He enjoys the company of a dominant female, who can doll out and receive some rough and rowdy play. As much as he loves kids of all ages, due to his size and general doofiness a home with children is not recommended. Rip is also not suitable for a home with cats. For more information on Rip Wheeler, call AWS at 860-354-1350 email animalwelfare.socty@snet.net or visit our website aws-shelter.org for a pre adopt application. Adoption fees for Dogs (8yrs and up) is $150 Adult Dogs is $400 and Puppies under a year is $500

Story
**DIASHA IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE SHE IS ADOPTED** Introducing Miss Daisha (pronounced DAY-SHUH). At two years old, this petite Dutch Shepherd or Malinois/Staffordshire mix is ready to join a loving pack permanently. The ideal home for Daisha would be with someone who has the time and passion to nurture her love for learning, maintain consistent training and exercise, and understands that her breed mix thrives on an active lifestyle. Daisha is a bundle of high energy, intelligence, and trainability, always keen to please. She's proficient in-house manners, leash walking, and crate training, and has an insatiable love for fetch, squeaky toys, car adventures, and she might just be the swiftest dog you'll ever encounter. Seriously, her speed is astonishing. While Daisha gets along well with other dogs, children, and adults, she's likely not suitable for a home with cats. Daisha has been fully vetted, receiving all necessary vaccinations, a 6-month Pro-Heart shot, monthly flea and tick preventatives, and she is also spayed and microchipped. The adoption fee for Daisha is $550, which covers her transportation to CT. A licensed and registered USDA transport company will be used to safely deliver Daisha to her new family up north. If you have any questions, please email newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com Daisha's Back Story (cliff note version) Daisha, an 8-week-old puppy, was rescued by a compassionate young man (current owner) from a relative who failed to provide for her basic needs. Shortly after her rescue, Daisha fell gravely ill with Parvo and required hospitalization. Following dedicated care, she has been nursed back to health. Daisha was allowed inside the house during her first year, she now roams freely in the backyard, which has become her permanent spot. Daisha lived with her owner's mother for about a year until her owner's mother began seeking assistance from rescue organizations to find Daisha a home that could provide the life she deserves.    You can apply to adopt Daisha here:  https://newbeginningsanimalrescue.net/adoption-application THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET! Story
ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)     Meet 9m old 45lbs Anuket the newest handicapped dog from Egypt. We are hoping she will be here in the next month. Name: Anuket Breed: German Shepherd pup Sex: Female Age: 9 months old Weight: 45lbs Vaccines: UTD Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: Yes. Good with kids: Yes Good with people: Yes. Energy level: High Toilet trained: Yes Health concerns: None Spayed/Neutered: Yes Backstory, personality. Anuket was found when she was only 8 weeks old on the streets can't walk, she has birth defect in her rear legs and can't walk normally so the breeder dumped her on the streets. We tried hard to fix her legs and she had FHO surgery to fix her hips and she is doing much better after the surgery, she hops like a bunny but her knees can't be bended. She's very active, high energy and super friendly with everyone and everything , loves to cuddle and kiss, her disability doesn't stop her at all, she loves to play all the time with the dogs and her toys, she's crate trained.           All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.     Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff  Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Please fill out an application and email to: For Cats: cats@zanisfurryfriends.org For Dogs: dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org For Rabbits: nyc.acc.rabbits@gmail.com. Please visit our website zanisfurryfriends.org.
