Story
Hi there, we are a group of 4 puppies, currently about 6 months old, and about 3 months ago we were sitting on someone's porch with a sign that said FREE PUPPYS! This was in San Antonio Texas on a very hot day and we were starving, dehydrated, and vomiting from either the heat or illness. Either way, a 4 Little Paws Rescue representative happened to drive by, pulled over, opened her door, and invited us in. We happily took her up on her offer, all jumped into the back seat, and we have been well taken care of ever since. Fast forward almost 2 months and we are all healthy, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and ready to be adopted. My name is Cosmo, I’m a boy, I currently weigh about 25.0 lbs, and I appear to be a Belgian Malinois. I am a sweet and friendly boy, happy and playful, and BONUS... I'm housebroken. I have been living in a foster home with a wonderful family, mom, dad, kids, and their resident dogs and I get along great with everyone. I’m a very good boy in their home, not destructive and I don't chew on their stuff. I’m just sweet and handsome, and I would love to get the heck out of Texas and find a family that lives in the Northeast Coastal Region. Please take a chance on me and we can have some fun new adventures when I get there next week! * We encourage you to send us an email with your #1, #2, and #3 choices, and we will be happy to help you find a pup to complete your family! Also, please continue watching our listings as we post new dogs multiple times a week. There is no need to fill out another application, just let us know what other dogs you are interested in as they come up.

Story
Vineland, NJ : MEET KASH, a beautiful one year old 75 lb male Belgian Malinois who is not just gorgeous but an absolute sweetheart. Here is what his foster mum had to say about him: “Kash is a tall boy who loves playing with our sons. He enjoys long walks and playing tug of war. Kash isn’t sure about what to do with toys, but is happy to carry them around. He has a very sweet temperament and is very active and loves to go on brisk walks. He would make a great, hiking companion or running buddy. He knows Sit, Lie Down, and Stay and he is happy to give you his paw or paws! Loves to gives Hugs and enjoys belly rubs. Kash walks well on a leash, and will occasionally bark when people walk toward us, not aggression driven, but just needs his confidence worked with. He takes a moment to warm up with new people but is the absolute sweetest once he does. He does not mind passing other dogs on the street but in the home, he definitely needs to be a SOLO PET. Kash great being brushed and being handled. He is ok on short car rides and always wants to be where you are. He has been an absolute delight as a foster and will do good in a home that is willing to go slow with introductions and work with his confidence.” Kash is neutered, up-to-date on shots, and micro chipped. Please apply at www.amsterdog.org, or contact us at 917-689-8414 for more info on this truly amazing boy.

▶ [Relationship with dogs] Komi loves other dogs. If friends' playing style mathes with her, she would play around with little barks, play-neck biting, catching with front legs, and etc. ▶ [Relationship with cats] Can be in the same household. ▶ [Relationship with people] At first sight, she has a bit of fear, but after few hours, she would follow around. Does not display aggression. ▶ [Potty training] Outdoor potty. Loves going for walk and is well mannered. ▶ [Energy Level] Has high energy since she'a still a puppy. ▶ [Hates] Trying to pet them in very sudden manner, bath, loud sound of blow dryer. ▶ [Peaonality & Recommended Houshold] - Would be great if the household already has other dogs, or where she could see other friends. - Seems to have high energy even as puppy. Should meet a friend with similar energy. - Better if there is a stay-home parent. Location : Korea Adoption inquiries: wds3628@nate.com

Story
Sarge is our 2.5 year old Belgian Malinois Mix. Belgian Malinois is not recommended for the first-time dog owner. They are "a lot" of dog, which means they have a strong work ethic, are active, protective, and powerful. This is a dog that does not do well with boredom - Mals can become restless and frustrated when they don't have a job to do. This means that they aren't well suited to households where the owners work long hours or travel often. Excess energy, coupled with such boredom, could have them tearing your house apart. Individuals with a great deal of dog experience should only consider taking in a Mal if they have a significant amount of time and energy to dedicate to the task of training and exercising them. This is not a low-maintenance breed! Please do your research on Belgian Malinois before deciding to adopt Sarge. Please stop by our shelter and spend time with him to see if he is the right match for you. Our experienced staff is available to talk with you, answer your questions and provide advice on how to transition him to your home.Sarge is neutered, dewormed and is up to date on age appropriate vaccinations. His adoption fee is $350.00 plus an additional $8.50 for the NYC dog license. He'll get one free exam at our vet's office during the first 30 days after adoption and he is microchipped.Come visit us today, we are conveniently located in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn near the F train (Ft Hamilton Pkwy stop) and we are open daily from 11am to 7pm. (Holiday Hours are 11am to 3pm)Sarge can't wait to meet you!Sean Casey Animal Rescue153 E. 3 St.between Ft Hamilton Pkwy & Caton AveBrooklyn, NY 11218718.436.5163NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets Registration No. RR160

Story
"No Dogs Left Behind operates boots on the ground in Asia, fighting on the front lines to rescue dogs from the illegal dog-meat trade. No Dogs Left Behind works hands-on with local activists through emergency response, pulling dogs directly from slaughterhouses, dog meat trucks, wet markets and traffickers. Our mission extends beyond borders worldwide, advocating for the creation and enforcement of animal welfare laws, and raising awareness for a cruelty-free, sustainable world in which no animal is violated, exploited, tortured or slaughtered for commercial goods or profit. PLEASE NOTE: All of our dogs ARE CURRENTLY LOCATED AT ONE OF OUR TWO SANTUARIES IN CHINA UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED ON THEIR PROFILE. If you are seeing this post, the dog you are interested in IS CURRENTLY AVAIALBLE FOR ADOPTION. Canadian Adoptions - For dogs going to Canada, we expect the wait for flights to be approximately 2 to 4 months AFTER the adoption is complete. PLEASE KNOW, however, that we can make no guarantee about flight dates because we are at the whim of the commercial airlines and airports. Available cargo space for animals on commercial airlines has been limited in recent months. United States Adoptions - In July of 2021, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) implemented a "temporary suspension on the importation of dogs from 113 countries, including China. Therefore, we are in the process of moving all our survivors from China to Canada to clear our two sanctuaries in East Asia which will give us the ability to save more dogs from slaughter. As per CDC regulations, dogs imported from China can enter the United States only AFTER staying in Canada for a period of 6 months. While we are accepting adoption applications from the United States, please be aware that there is a 6-month wait time. Should the CDC lift the import ban at any point prior to the 6-month period, we will advise you. Once you have adopted a survivor and a flight has been secured to Canada, we will arrange for your dog to stay in a loving foster home in the Toronto area that we have secured on your behalf or in our sanctuary located in Scarborough, Ontario. After the required 6-month stay in Canada, American adopters can arrange to pick up their survivors in Canada. IF YOU WANT TO ADOPT: The first step in our adoption process is to complete an application. EVERYONE MUST complete an application. You can complete an application on our website, https://nodogsleftbehind.com/adopt/ ADOPTION FEE: Current Adoption Fees: $2,290 USD for SMALL dogs under 50 pounds $2,990 USD for LARGE dogs over 50 pounds $1500 USD for SPONSORED dogs who have had a portion of their flight paid by a generous donor (noted with a white airplane symbol in their photo on our Foster or Adopt section of our website). Please NOTE, the adoption fee MAY change after adopting your survivor. If, at the time of transport, the transportation costs have increased, adopters will be required to pay the additional expenses. Due to COVID-19, regulations, airline availability, cost and logistics are ever-changing. The cost of adopting a survivor is constantly changing and therefore the adoption fees are subject to change. Adopters do not cover the costs of the dogs' medical care or the food and care they receive while they remain in our sanctuaries. The Pay-it-Forward Fee that is paid at the time of adoption covers the current cost of flying the dogs out of China. All our dogs are sterilized, microchipped, and have received all current vaccines as required to be imported as per airline and government regulations. CHILDREN, CATS AND OTHER PETS: Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing if any of our dogs are friendly with cats or young children. Although our dogs are friendly with most other dogs, we don't have the ability to test our dogs in our sanctuaries in China and cannot make any guarantees as to their temperament or compatibility with other animals, children, or cats. REQUESTS FOR HYPO-ALLERGENIC DOGS: We do not guarantee, agree, hint at, or suggest that any of our dogs are hypo allergenic. All our dogs are rescued from the dog meat trade in East Asia and therefore, we do not know their history or breed mixes. TEMPERAMENT: As our dogs are rescued from the dog trafficking trade in East Asia, we do not have history of their past. We cannot guarantee their temperament when they arrive in a home setting. HOUSE AND POTTY TRAINING: As we do not know the history of our rescued dogs, we should assume that they will need to be house trained. Some dogs may have been stolen pets and have previously been in a home environment in China while others may have been stray dogs or specifically bred for consumption. We advise every new adopter to treat these dogs as if they are puppies and be patient in regaining their trust with humans and providing basic training. We will also disclose any dog with more serious needs as our main goal is to get each dog the very best home for them. ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS: lindsay@nodogsleftbehind.com "
