Sofie is a 2-year-old Akita/Shepherd mix with a heart full of love and loyalty. Her previous owner let us know she was kept as an inside dog, is housetrained, and already knows several commands—including come, stay, leave it, and down. She`s a smart girl who’s eager to please and has a great foundation for her next chapter.Sofie walks beautifully on a leash and loves hopping in the car for rides—she’s a great sidekick for your daily adventures. She’s affectionate, gentle, and ready to find her new best friend. While Sofie is full of love, she’d prefer a home without small animals—those sneaky cats and little critters make her a bit uneasy! Story
Ellie was born May 20, 2021. She was raised with other dogs and cats. She has never been an outside dog and is very afraid for thunderstorms. She can be timid at first with people she dont know until she get use to you. She comes around pretty fast. I recommend a Single person with no children or older children. Other dogs are ok but she loves her space sometimes when it comes to other animals. I also recommend if going to a home with other dog that they are breeds her size or bigger. She is good with living with cats as well. She is very affectionate and clingy. She is high energy and loves to play and run. She can easily train with time and consistency. She is very motivated and will also make a great working dog and will learn fast. She does have a bit of separation anxiety sometimes and might need redirection when it comes to personal space. She is a sweet heart and deserves an owner who has time and an abundance of love to give.

Story
Meet Echo! Echo is a 1-year-old Belgian Malinois with a heart full of energy and a brain that loves to work. Weighing in at 76 pounds, this handsome boy is everything you’d expect from his breed: loyal, intense, driven, and always ready for the next challenge. Echo thrives in an active home with someone experienced in working breeds, especially Malinois. He’s incredibly affectionate, loves belly rubs, and lives for a game of fetch or tug-of-war. His toy drive is through the roof, and he’s a fast learner who enjoys training and mentally engaging tasks. He’s already mastered sit, down, and shake, and he’s currently working on heel, recall, leash manners, and place. This confident guy is crate and potty trained, neutered, fully vetted, and eager to bond with his person. Echo would likely excel in dog sports like Fast CAT, fetch competitions, or even agility. He just needs the right outlet for his energy and drive. He does best with large, submissive dogs and has not been tested with small dogs or cats. Due to his prey drive, caution is advised around small animals. He can be a little anxious at times, but his confidence and love for people help him bounce back quickly. If you’re home often, love to train, and are looking for a high-octane best friend who’s as smart as he is sweet, Echo may just be your perfect match. ##2382034##

Story
Meet Juniper! She is an approximately six-year-old, 70+ pound Belgian Malinois/Shepherd mix. We adopted her in 2019 from Dallas Animal Services and were immediately drawn to her goofy smile and personality. She is full of energy (doggy parkour anyone?!) but loves nothing more than cuddling up with the people she loves on the couch for a long day of snuggles. She has no history of health problems (though she has been known to fake an injury or two when she isn't getting enough attention), and she is up to date with all medical care (vaccines, microchipping, check-ups, etc.). Juniper is incredibly playful and energetic. Her favorite game is chasing tennis balls around the house, and she adores chewing up toys until they are completely demolished. She needs a big backyard that she can run and play in, and she can never resist chasing squirrels and barking at birds. Her biggest nemesis is the mailman and the UPS man. She has a strong bark and takes protecting her house very seriously. Juniper is good with children and other animals, however, we believe that she would flourish in a household where all of the extra attention could be focused on her. She does have destructive tendencies when left home alone and not given proper exercise or attention beforehand (pillows beware), but she has undergone significant training and knows her basic commands. She is also leash reactive which can make walks challenging. Juniper is housebroken, however, she is not crate-trained. She gets nervous in a crate and does better with being out of the crate when you leave the house. Currently, Juniper lives with one other (older dog) who can't keep up with her playfulness, which has caused increasing tension between the dogs. Additionally, with her human family expanding, she has gotten less attention over the past year and is no longer thriving in her home situation. She is being rehomed in the hopes that she finds a family with the time to give her all of the attention and love that she deserves. Juniper has the sweetest heart of any dog we have ever known, and combined with her goofy, energetic personality, she is a wonderful dog. We hope to find her a family who loves her for exactly who she is and cherishes and appreciates the silly qualities that make her so special. Story
Hello there! My name is Mae & I`m the shelter`s FIRST EVER `Mini` German Shepherd :) A few days after I was brought into the shelter, I began throwing up my food so the staff took me to the vet to make sure I was in good health. They were really worried about me because I appear to be a 4-5 month old German Shepherd puppy, and they thought maybe I had contracted a parasite, infection, or virus... turns out, ALL of their assumptions were wrong. After a full health scan, including bone x-rays, they discovered a few things: First, and most important, I wasn`t sick - just inhaling my food & upsetting my stomach to the point where I threw up. Secondly, they realized that I was an adult, probably around 18 months old. I do extremely well with other dogs, both big & small, and I absolutely love getting attention from the girls here at the shelter! I`m everything you could ever hope to find in a German Shepherd, all in one fun-sized package! If I sound like your kind of girl, please come down to the shelter to meet me & prepare to fall in love!
