Hi! My name is SHA! I'm a big girl at 150lbs and I'm only just turned 3 years old! I have a lot of energy and I'm looking for a family that will take me on long walks or won't mind playing in the yard for a nice long session. I REALLY love being with my people, sometimes I get lonely or sad if they are gone for too long. I like other animals but I need to see if they like me and also give me time to adjust. I'm a little shy, and storms or new things make me a little skittish, but I try to learn them quick! I'm pretty good on the leash or so my owner says, harness works great and I look so pretty wearing one! My owner says I need a bit more training as I still like to jump when excited, she says not everyone likes that. But, I know to go to bed in my crate, I know to go outside when I need to, I know sit (though if excited I forget), I know off, back up, and no. Honestly I just want to play and snuggle with my people all day! My owner is willing to travel to my new home!

Meet BowIe! Bowie is a 46 pound, 5 years old, sweet, loving shepherd mix (yes, we have a DNA test!) who is ready for her forever home. She is very friendly and loves being around her humans. Bowie would do best as the only dog in the home so she can have all the attention to herself and can be dog selective. She would do best in a home with no cats and has not been small child tested. Bowie was found dumped on the side of a country road in a rural area, left to fend for herself. She ran right up to a hunter for pets and followed him around the rest of the day. She is such an affectionate dog. As he drove away, he could see her in his rearview mirror slowly trying to follow his truck down the road. He could not stop thinking about her big brown eyes that seemed to look right into his soul. That is when he contacted a volunteer with DSDA and started the process to get her rescued. She is petite making her a great size for many homes. Bowie loves treats and dog toys, and she already knows how to sit on command and is leash and house trained. She enjoys relaxing in the backyard, especially if it includes belly rubs. She is very chill and happy to cuddle up with you on a recliner for a good movie. Bowie is spayed and has recently completed heartworm treatment. She is ready to move forward with a healthy, happy life in her new home. Bowie also likes to chase squirrels, so a secure yard would be a plus. Melia is extremely kind and sweet very protective. Meila loves fetch and yummy treats. Meila loves to be active and be with nature. Meila can sit and lay down on command. Meila is very affectionate and loves to cuddle. Meila deserves the best of the best love. Meila can be with out a leash and come back. Is not in outside dog needs to be inside but hoping the person that adopt her has a backyard just want her to be inside at times. Meila can be jealous at times she is very expressive she is not a barker or won't go haywire on a leash. She is good on walks depending on the area of location not great with busy streets. Does well around cats. Does good with other dogs depending on how the other dog approaches her. Loves a giant bone and loves her almonds and strawberries and weirdly likes to eat a little bit of pickles. Very snuggly will get up anytime you do. I have a small apartment and know she could have a better life style then what I can afford at the moment.

I received Roman from a friend about 2 years ago. He's a great dog and extremely loyal. He is always on alert and ready to work. He's not really trained. He knows his sit and wait commands although he doesn't hold it if distracted. He loves walks but pulls a bit and absolutely loves water. He'll jump in the lake if I'd let him. Full transparency his only challenge is he's very protective and will bark seemingly aggressively which usually scares people. He did the same with me upon meeting me but within 10 minutes he was laying on his belly getting belly rubs. I'm unable to keep him because I'm moving due to life changes and my new living arrangements will not allow him to stay with me

Fiona was rescued from a local shelter at 4 months old and extremely under weight. She is a beautiful, happy, playful girl now. We did a DNA test on her and she is 91.3% American pit bull and 8.7% German Shepherd. She is an extremely smart pup. She knows sit, and doing well with stay, wait, leave it and off. She is dog and people friendly. She would probably do fine with dog friendly cats and proper introductions. She did ignore a cat in foster home yard recently. She will probably weigh around 40-50lbs as an adult. She is working on crate training and potty training and doing well. She loves car rides and pup cups from Starbucks. Application required.
