Juniper is equal parts cuddle queen and squirrel-chasing athlete! Her heart is as big as her bark, whether she’s gently checking on the kids in the house like a protective big sister or sounding the alarm when the mailman dares approach her kingdom, Juniper takes her guardian role seriously. She’s a ball-chasing, toy-destroying, high-energy companion who loves her routines, especially mealtimes. Juniper is house-trained, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. She also knows all the classics like sit, stay, down, heel, come, and gentle. While Juniper absolutely thrives on love and companionship, she shines brightest as the only pet in a calm, stable home where she is the only pet. Her ideal home includes a fenced yard for daily play and space to explore.

Zara is a 2 year old Belgian Malinois Mix. We adopted her at 6 months from a shelter, the same day she came back from being fostered. She has lots of energy and loves attention. She has been around other dogs (that she loves to play with), she is great with cats because she use to live with one (she needs to be reminded to be gentle with cats), she absolutely loves kids (she will jump on them as well). She knows a couple of commands. She is not aggressive at all and she senses when you are upset/sad. Her favorite things to do are going on walks, going for a ride, chasing squirrels, and playing with toys that give her a challenge. She is afraid of thunderstorms. We just want her to have an amazing home with a family, or person, that has time for her!

Meet Mika! He is a 1 yr old male Belgian Shepherd/Australian Kelpie mix mix that weighs 57lbs. He came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 10/27 as a stray. He has such a loving, gentle, moderate personality. He enjoys being petted and loved on. Takes treats gently and walks well on a leash. Mika does walk with a bit of a wobble, due to an injury to his hip bone. He is doing much better and is anxious to find his own loving forever family. As the other dogs were barking at him, he showed no interest, but we always ask if there will be another dog in the home to please ask the shelter for a dog test. He would enjoy having a secured yard he can enjoy, then definitely come back inside where he can have his own comfy dog bed and the company of his human family. You just can`t resist Mika, he would make such a loving loyal companion.

Meet Tomika, a German Shepherd/Belgian Shepherd mix girl found as a stray on 11/24 to the Mesquite Animal Shelter. She weighs 71lbs, is spayed, and is 1 1/2 years old. Though she does walk on a leash, she is a strong puller. Further leash training would be a great idea for Tomika. She does know the sit command and will do so for treats. She is a high energy youngster, and it seems as though a good fit would be an active family. At this point, she might not be a good fit for a home with very young children because she does jump on you. It would be ideal if she had a family that would give her daily playtime, exercise, and enrichment to burn off some of that excess energy. She wants to be part of the family circle. She doesn’t think that’s too much to ask!

She is a smart girl who knows how to "sit" "come" "off" and "leave it." Sable is very treat motivated and is eager to please. Aside from playing, Sable also enjoys being loved on and gives kisses. Sable is patiently waiting for her forever home. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. We adopted him when he was only 9 weeks old. He is lovable and so soft. Roughly 1 years old. Knows how to walk on a leash but recommend still using a lighter prong collar for him. Recommend still having him sleep in his cage at night, which he goes right into and sleeps. He rides in the car. Will get a bath with the hose. He knows fetch with the ball. He needs a home where someone will be home all day and can take him in and out, and take him to play and can take time to train him. He is a curious breed and will need things to keep him busy - or he will find things to keep himself busy.
