Melia is extremely kind and sweet very protective. Meila loves fetch and yummy treats. Meila loves to be active and be with nature. Meila can sit and lay down on command. Meila is very affectionate and loves to cuddle. Meila deserves the best of the best love. Meila can be with out a leash and come back. Is not in outside dog needs to be inside but hoping the person that adopt her has a backyard just want her to be inside at times. Meila can be jealous at times she is very expressive she is not a barker or won't go haywire on a leash. She is good on walks depending on the area of location not great with busy streets. Does well around cats. Does good with other dogs depending on how the other dog approaches her. Loves a giant bone and loves her almonds and strawberries and weirdly likes to eat a little bit of pickles. Very snuggly will get up anytime you do. I have a small apartment and know she could have a better life style then what I can afford at the moment.

This handsome fellow is Theo, a Belgian Shepherd that came in as a stray on 3/27 to the Mesquite Animal Shelter. Precious boy is approximately 4 years old, neutered and weighs 80 pounds. He knows the paw and sit commands, and he enjoyed climbing on our play equipment in the yard to show off his athletic abilities. Theo walks quite nicely on a leash and did his business outside. He has a chill personality, is well behaved, calm, and is a gentle boy. He sits for treats which he takes nicely. He likes to stay close to a human friend and was perfectly fine with receiving pets and loving attention. This precious boy is so deserving as of a second chance in getting a home in which he will be nicely cared for, and in which his people will stay committed to him.

This girl will keep you on your toes! She’s comes with puppy behaviors: fun loving, spunky, friendly, playful, joyous, somewhat goofy, and even puppy breath! Heather is a 1 year-old 35 pound Belgian Shepherd mix that arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 4/11 as a stray. She’s a medium size dog with a relatively small frame. She is tan with black mixed in and unique standup ears. She loves open spaces and loves to run and play. She occasionally gets over exuberant and jumps on you but gets down when told to do so. She sits for treats and takes them gently. She’s very lovable. She had a strong pull on the leash to get out. She did do her business in the yard. She would do best with an active family that would get her out for exercise and play time. Then she would love to settle in on a pile of comfy blankets and watch TV with you.
