Story
Meet Buster, a lively 7-month-old pup who`s full of energy and enthusiasm! From our volunteer observations, Buster seems to enjoy socializing and often initiates play with other dogs through chasing and herding behaviors. This playful pooch is usually easy to handle and appears to be leash trained, though he can sometimes be a bit mouthy in his excitement. Buster tends to be quick to join in activities and greet others, making him a social butterfly in the making. Come meet Buster today!

Story
4-month-old Belgian Malinois/Blue Heeler mix in search of the perfect forever home. Finny is bright, eager to learn, and very attached to his person. He knows basic commands, is crate trained, sleeps through the night, and is progressing well with potty training. Finny thrives with structure, exercise, and mental stimulation. He’ll do best in an active home familiar with working breeds — someone ready to continue training and give him a “job.” He's vocal around strangers and needs slow introductions, but he bonds deeply and has huge potential. This is a very hard decision, and I’m looking for a committed, loving home where he can thrive. Serious inquiries only — I’ll be asking questions to ensure it’s the right fit.

Story
Normally we foster through DAS but in this instance, we were reached out to by a breeder who wanted out of the "business" so we took Rouge and her sister in at a few months old. When the girls were old enough we had them spayed and since then her sister Storm was adopted and we haven't quite found the family for Ms. Rouge. She's dog friendly, interested in cats and people but can be shy at first. She's also house trained and very food motivated. Loves to learn new tricks, running around in the yard and walks good on a leash. Last but not least she loves attention.

Story
Ginger came to us in September 2021 at almost 5 months of age from Garland Animal Services. They said she was German Shepherd because of her coloring and markings, but her short coat and smaller build do not reflect that. Her ears were â&#194&#128&#194&#156windblownâ&#194&#128&#194&#157 as the vet termed it, but frequently they would both fall inward on top of her head, looking like a bandana. For the most part her ears do stand up straight now, but occasionally when she is staring pensively out the window, they will lapse back into the bandana. Ginger has a good appetite, healthy, strong, weighs about 72 lbs. During the warm months, she is bothered by seasonal skin allergies. Ginger is microchipped, spayed and vaccinations are up to date. She does have lots of energy, especially in the morning and loves to run in the backyard. Occasionally she will even stand up on her hind legs like a Ninja, in an effort to see over the fence. In the house, Ginger will be your constant companion, almost always quiet, unless she senses someone outside. She is completely housebroken and well behaved in house, never destructive. She loves to be brushed and petted, very affectionate. She is crate trained and this is where she sleeps in the evening. The only children she has been around are our two grandsons, ages 5 and 8. They love her, she loves them. They are all excitable around each other so I watch them closely. Ginger can be selective about the dogs she meets and would advise monitoring of new introductions, but generally gets along with most dogs. Cats, however, are a no no. Ginger is a smart girl, knows basic commands of sit, down and will hand you her paw if requested. She is partially leashed trained, but, unfortunately, due to our physical limitations in the last couple of years, we have not worked on further training. This is the reason we are wanting to re-home her so that she can enjoy life to the fullest. If you are looking to adopt an elegant, beautiful dog, Ginger is your girl. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Ginger, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
Lupi was born 11.26.2022 from Hatchi and Motzi (both our dogs). He and 3 of his other siblings stayed with us. 2 months after their birth my husband got sick and has been sick ever since. He has cancer and got paralyzed lately (reason for rehoming). Lupi has a bubbly and loud personality. He wants to always be with you, he is curious and always sniffing your hands. He likes the attention, is very jealous and loves to catch his chicken paws in midair. He is a really sweet dog, but due to my husband's condition he was not socialized, nor trained. He was never out of the house, just in the backyard. He does not care about that either if you are not there with him. I don't know how he would be with other dogs, but he does not get along with his brother (they are separated). He might get along with female dogs. He was fed homecooked food. He needs an experienced, loving owner, who had GS before and knows how to bring the best out of him. He deserves more than I can offer.

He has cancer and got paralyzed lately (reason for rehoming). Rosie has a more laid back personality. She wants to always be with you, she is the typical velcro dog. She likes lots of attention, belly and head scratches. She needs constant reassurance and love. If you hug and pet her all day she would not complain. She is a really great and devoted dog. Due to my husband's condition she was not socialized, nor trained. She loves it outside and loves to play with her sister, with whom she gets along. Does not care much about walking on leash. Loves chasing squirrels with her sister and has bursts of personality once in a while. She was fed homecooked food.
