Due to personal circumstances, his previous owner made the difficult decision to surrender him, and now Rocky is looking for a loving new home where he can feel safe and secure. Rocky can be a little shy at first and needs some time to warm up to new people and environments. He is looking for an adult-only home where things are calm and predictable, giving him the chance to settle in at his own pace. Once he feels comfortable, Rocky’s playful and affectionate side begins to shine through, and he becomes a fun little companion who enjoys spending time with his people. This handsome boy is looking for a patient adopter who will give him the understanding, time, and love he needs to build confidence and truly thrive. Spike is a handsome maltipoo mix. He can be a little shy at first, it takes him a minute to trust someone and warm up. But once he does, you have best friend for life! He is a very happy cuddly dog. Spike has the most fun natural blonde Mohawk that just adds to his charm! DOB 5/8/24 and around 25 lbs. Spike prefers a home without cats and, honestly, would do best as the only furry companion. He can be a bit of an attention hog and doesn’t like to share his favorite human! He would also do best in a home with no kids or kids over 12, who will respect his personal space while he adjusts to a new environment. Imogen is a sweet senior girl with a gentle soul, a happy tail wag, and a heart full of love. Thought to be around 14 years old, she would love a warm, calm home to live her golden years. Though deaf and completely blind, Imogen has adapted beautifully after having her eyes removed due to uncontrolled glaucoma. She is much more comfortable and even has a little pep in her step.Imogen is quiet, rarely barks, likes to spend time with her favorite human, and is generally indifferent to other dogs. She is trustworthy when left alone and will often circle when she needs to go outside. A true homebody, Imogen is content spending her days napping, receiving gentle affection, and simply being part of the family. The most important thing to know about Imogen is that she is a loving, resilient senior who asks for very little - a soft place to rest, kind hands to pet her, soft canned food, and a loving home. If you`re looking for a calm, devoted companion, Imogen may be the perfect match.We love our dogs. We want happy lives for all of them and are looking for the home that provides the best fit for each dogs individual needs.     This beautiful pup is BONNIE, a very sweet, initially shy,  3-year-old, 17 pound, spayed female, Maltese/Poodle cross. Bonnie lives in a foster home with two adults and two teens, plus a few dogs of varying sizes and ages, all with whom she gets along. She is a loving, gentle, sweet dog who wants to be with her people whenever possible. She has good house manners and is respectful. As we have gotten to know Bonnie, we have determined that she requires a calm household that has another gentle dog who can be her buddy, and where people are home more than not.        Because Bonnie's first owners didn't socialize her with other people when she was young, Bonnie is insecure meeting new people. Taking things slowly with her is essential - and it works! Once Bonnie is comfortable, she is very sweet and friendly. She enjoys going for walks but continues to display insecurity and fear of unknown people. She would benefit from continued gentle training to help her not find the world such a scary place. Bonnies foster family is taking her for short walks to help her have positive experiences.     Bonnie is housebroken. She was previously trained to use potty pads for toileting but is now trained to go outside on the grass. Bonnie really enjoys spending time in the backyard. She is a bit of a barker so she is not appropriate for apartment/condo living, nor a home with young children. This dog has been examined by licensed veterinarians, provided inoculations, been tested for diseases, dewormed, spayed, and microchipped. ADOPTION APPLICATIONS are available upon request at acaringplace@comcast.net   Bonnie requires a calm home that has another dog with whom to socialize and a securely fenced yard.   A Caring Place - All Breed Dog Rescue adopts throughout the Greater Chicagoland Area. All dogs and puppies live in foster homes, providing you as the adopter, with information on the animal's behaviors, needs, and requirements.
