Do you have time and room in your life for a foster dog? http://www.muttloverescue.org/foster.html *****************   Matty is a 10-month old, 5lb Maltipoo that was given up by his owner due to personal issues. He is playful, affectionate, and gets along well with the other three dogs in his foster home. He travels very well and likes going on walks with his foster siblings. He loves to sleep with his humans at night, and enjoys curling up next to them to watch TV or sit out on the porch. He also loves his toys and morning zoomies! Kids? He’d likely lick them to death and then ask them to play. ❤️ Mike a very energetic little guy who is confident enough to be an only dog- if his people give him an active lifestyle. If there is another dog or dogs in the home, they need to want to play! An older dog is not a match. He’s also great on a leash and a good little car rider, making him the perfect sidekick for adventures. Senior dog notice!!! Meet Lulu 🐾 Lulu is a sweet, gentle senior girl of 12 years, looking for a quiet, loving home to spend her golden years in. Lulu is very low-key and not an active dog, making her a wonderful match for someone looking for a calm companion — whether that's a retiree, a quieter household, or anyone who wants a mellow presence at home rather than a high-energy playmate. She thrives on gentle affection and simply being close to her people. As a senior dog, Lulu will need some extra patience and understanding. She needs to pee frequently and may have accidents if she isn't let out often, so she'd do best with someone who's home a lot or can accommodate regular potty breaks throughout the day. She'll also benefit from routine vet check-ins and a soft, comfortable place to rest.

Story
Taffy was found abandoned on a rural back road, painfully matted, with fur tangled over her eyes. She understandably does not want to be abandoned again, so she is looking for a home where people are around most of the time. Taffy walks reasonably well on the leash and enjoys time sniffing around the yard. She has been staying in a foster home with other small dogs and cats and gets along well with everyone. She rides well in a car if she is secure in a cat carrier, but riding loose makes her nervous. She needs help going up and down stairs but fortunately is easy to carry. She is a very sweet girl who loves treats and being with her humans. She also loves to push her big donut bed around trying to get it comfy. Taffy is blind and deaf. We are awaiting a determination of whether she will need to have her eyes removed, as they are quite painful for her. She is currently on eye drops, which does not make her happy. Taffy is also recovering from a fungal infection in her skin, but she is receiving treatment for that and is expected to recover. She has a grade 5 heart murmur which does not currently require any treatment but will require monitoring. Taffy came to us with separation anxiety, but she now feels secure enough in her foster home that it seems to have resiolved. She is a good communicator who rarely barks, except when shes done walking and pottying. She will occasionally bark if shes riding in car and needs to potty. She's also a great listener. Taffy is making good progress on her housetraining but will benefit from having potty pads available, at least initially. Taffy has had a hard life. She deserves all the good things. Meet Sprout, 5-6 years old This sweet little Maltese weighs around 6 pounds and is super sweet. Sprout was rescued from a puppy mill with his friend Cooper. He's a little bit shy for the first few minutes after meeting you but warms up when a guest gives him a yummy treat. Sprout is used to a secure, fenced yard, so CHR is asking that he go to a home with one. Since his rescue, he is LOVING life! He loves to run around the yard playing and enjoys climbing up to kiss you on your cheek. This little munchkin is used to being around other small dogs in the puppy mill, so we feel he would do best in a household with another small dog. We look forward to hearing from you!
