Papa is an intelligent, happy, and easy to train one-year-old border collie mix pup. He enjoys long walks, fetch, dog park hangs, and swimming. Papa comes from a loving and caring home where he has been house-broken (he never has any accidents in the house!), kennel-trained, regularly socialized, and neutered. Unfortunately, the circumstances of my life have changed, and I have to find this good boy a new and loving home. Papa is a larger pup, weighing about 60lbs., that would best complement a couple or a family with an ample outdoor space who is active and familiar with dogs- because Papa is a "dog's dog!" - He is happy and very excited with kids. - Knows some commands like "sit," "paw," and "down." - LOVES TOYS! $150 adoption fee. Vaccines are up to date. Papa is also fixed already. Papa is a courtesy post for Valley Dogs Rescue and he is not in our direct care. We're blessed to have had Jaxx for 7 years, he just turned 8 in October. We would love to find him a home with a senior seeking a companion, a couple, a person with another dog, or a family. Jaxx is incredibly patient and kind. We have 2 young children and he has been nothing but sweet despite their playful curiosities that sometimes end in accidental tugs. Unfortunately my youngest daughter has an allergy we've tried everything for and we're unable to keep him, but we're optimistic he will find the perfect home with you. As I said, Jaxx is incredibly patient with kids, does great with other dogs at the dog park, and walks/jogs well on a leash (though not as fast as when he was a younger dog). He would love to snuggle in bed with you if you desire that, however, if that is not comfortable for you, he is also so happy on his own comfy bed. He has an incredible ability to attune and understand what the house rules are (i.e.- kitchen is a boundary, etc.) and is an emotional companion

Spencer is living with my husband and I with his 3 dog siblings and currently happy although Spencer does not like children and we as a family are planning to begin the process of having a child whether that means it happens for us or we adopt. I want to begin looking for a perfect home that Spencer can continue to be happy and live his best life. Why no kids:He does not like children of any age Why no other dogs:Spencer is good at playing, initiating play & very respectful of his playmate. He is not good at sharing his human. Spencer wants all the love and attention and has in the past chomped his brother for being too close to his mom. Spencer will also get excited about a neighbor dog or a truck in the ally and bite whoever is next to him. He has broken skin depending on how worked up he gets. Cool things about Spencer He sleeps a lot! Loves the King Sized bed. He is muzzle trained, crate trained & does not mind either. He can be active or lazy & he talks a lot
