I got Mika in Texas, when she was a puppy about 2 months ago after she followed me home on a walk I went on. The last picture was how big she was when I first got her, I’m not too sure how old she was and still not sure how old she is now, but she’s gotten bigger and is an amazing dog, my schedule is just too busy to care for the attention she deserves. She makes a great camping dog she loves hikes, swimming, and walks. She knows sit, spin, and paw, and is potty trained to go outside.

Jolene is an adorable 4–5-month-old Border Collie blend who came to Friends for Life after being found as a stray. Sadly, no owner could be located, so this sweet little girl is now ready to find a forever family of her very own!Jolene currently weighs about 18–20 pounds, but exactly how big will she be when she grows up? Your guess is probably as good as ours! Because her breed mix is our best educated guess and we don’t know anything about her parents, her adult size remains one of Jolene’s little mysteries.What we do know is that Jolene is every bit the puppy! She has plenty of energy, loves to play and is currently living in a foster home with two senior dogs. Her older canine foster siblings are helping show her the ropes of living in a home—even if Jolene probably has a bit more enthusiasm for playtime than they do!Jolene can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give her some time to realize you’re a friend and she warms up quickly. She’s still learning about the world around her, including how this whole “walking on a leash” thing works, so her new family should be prepared to continue helping her build confidence and learn her puppy manners.She’s also making terrific progress with house training! Jolene is almost there and will sit by the door to let her foster family know she needs to go outside. She’s even learning how to use the doggy door. In the event there is more than one home interested in the same animal, a lottery may be held that will include all families that are at our adoption center at the time we open the day the animal becomes available. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members (dogs and humans) to meet any potential new family member. Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).

She would do best with an active family who has plenty of time to give her exercise, attention, and mental stimulation.Sylvie is being rehomed because our family’s schedule has become extremely busy with work and school, and we’re no longer able to give her the time and attention she deserves. When she gets bored or has too much energy, she has tried to escape the house to explore, so she really needs a home where she will have plenty of activity, companionship, and a secure environment.Despite her energy, Sylvie is a very sweet girl who loves affection and enjoys being around people. Bagel is a loving and loyal companion! He’s really sweet and playful, he loves spending his time in the morning sun and sleeping the day away. He’s a very active dog and needs a ton of attention. He would do really well on an adult house hold or out on some land. He has guarding habits. He’s super protective of me and it creates tension in the home because he will bark and growl at the other people within the home. He needs a home who can dedicate time and training to get him to understand boundaries. He loves really hard but with a child around we can’t risk it being something irreversible. Bagel loves running and going on car rides. He loves a good belly rub just needs someone who can gain his trust and respect him and have his respect too!
