SWEETIE SEEKS LOVING HOME!!!All dogs are located in foster homes southeast Arizona between Benson and Willcox just south of Interstate 10. It is approximately a 2 1/2 drive from the Phoenix area and about a 1-hour drive east of Tucson. Please call or email Carrie to set up meet and greets as well as any questions.  fedwellfarm@yahoo.com, 602-316-8919 (no texts please)   BUTTERNUT is a beautiful, sweet and a bit shy Border Collie mix that was picked up as a stray by animal control. It appears that Butternut just had had puppies.   We do not have any previous history since she was a stray, therefore we do not know about the status of the puppies. Her teats will shrink now that she is spayed although it may take a few months. Butternut is 5 years old; she weighs approximately 53 pounds. Butternut is a great dog for hiking, biking or even walking around the block!  Her most favorite activity is to snuggle with her human family. Butternut is well house trained; knows how to use the dog door and she has been an absolute angel in her foster home.   She gets along with other dogs, but she loves people the best!   Please come meet Butternut and show her the world is a big, beautiful unscary place! Butternut is very feminine.  She is light and great on a leash!   602-316-8919 (no texts please)  April 26, 2024, 4:19 pm

SIBLINGS LOST THEIR OWNER TO CANCER, WILL SPLIT IF NECSSARYAll dogs are located in foster homes in southeast Arizona. They are between Benson and Willcox just south of Interstate 10. We are approximately 2 and 1/2 hours from Tempe and 1 hour east of Tucson. Joey is a girl! She came in with her brother James. Such a tragic story, they were rescued a couple of years ago by a wonderful woman in Kingman. The woman got cancer and knew she was going to die, she asked us to help her with the remaining personal dogs, she we were happy to. Joey and James are border collie mixes that are NOT high energy. We would love them to go together but we will split if necessary. They are so good in rescue; I forget they are here! They don't get involved with the ruckus at the farm! They are very dignified and sweet. Joey is approximately 4 years old and weighs 35 to 40 pounds, James weighs 42 pounds. I believe their weight was taken a while back and they are probably a bit heavier. They are very quiet, house broken with good manners. They are angels in their foster home. They get along with everyone, but they stay out of the pack situation. They are in GREAT physical condition! The rescuer did a magnificent job of saving these two from the high kill shelter in Kingman! Please come meet these wonderful dogs. Please come meet Joey and James and give them a real forever home. 602-316-8919April 26, 2024, 4:19 pm

Story
Hi this is Spencer. Spencer is living with my husband and I with his 3 dog siblings and currently happy although Spencer does not like children and we as a family are planning to begin the process of having a child whether that means it happens for us or we adopt. I want to begin looking for a perfect home that Spencer can continue to be happy and live his best life. Why no kids:He does not like children of any age Why no other dogs:Spencer is good at playing, initiating play & very respectful of his playmate. He is not good at sharing his human. Spencer wants all the love and attention and has in the past chomped his brother for being too close to his mom. Spencer will also get excited about a neighbor dog or a truck in the ally and bite whoever is next to him. He has broken skin depending on how worked up he gets. Cool things about Spencer He sleeps a lot! Loves the King Sized bed. He is muzzle trained, crate trained & does not mind either. He can be active or lazy & he talks a lot

These pups are in Scottsdale, Arizona too!

Story
Mango is a delightful dog adopted from the Humane Society last June by a family that cannot provide the activity she needs. She is definitely a working dog. Very friendly and loving and well-behaved when she gets exercise. Mango has excellent conformation, is a dark brindle with white markings, ears like a German Shepherd and a curly tail. Photos coming later today or call me if want faster... posting issues. When originally rescued (June 2023), Mango was positive for Parvo, but tested negative two weeks later when spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped. This is a smart, loving dog that I would keep myself if we didn't operate a cat rescue in our home with a plant nursery in the back yard, If she sounds like she might be your forever best friend, please call Jana Selig at 480-652-1477 to arrange meeting. Call me, Susanne, for pictures and if Jana not available (working). Yes, texting fine.

Story
Jack will be placed in the Phoenix metro area, for proximity to our rescue (home checks, follow up visits, visit to finalize adoption) and for access to our veterinarian. Sorry, no exceptions. ** Adoption begins with a Foster-To-Adopt arrangement and, once Basic and Intermediate Obedience training are completed, adoption can be finalized. ** Jack has come a very long way! He loves life and has made so many new friends.   Jack *must have* at least one happy, friendly, same-size dog friend in his new family. Jack takes treats gently and loves to run and play hard!   Jack requires a large private, fenced yard to enjoy off-leash play. Apartment life is not appropriate for him as he likes to share his space with humans that he knows well.   If you believe you're a possible match for Jack, please complete our online adoption application!   We encourage you to register on our site and "Favorite" the dog(s) that interest you, so that you will be notified when bio, photos, or status are updated. "Companion animal" means, needs at least one other friendly, playful dog that lives full-time in the same household. "Fenced yard" means, a backyard that is adjacent to and connected with your residence. (It does not mean a nearby fenced area/dog park.)  Gates must have padlocks and thresholds (cement or buried pavers to prevent digging.) Yard and patio must be free of debris and have room for dogs to run and play *on a lawn and/or in a very shaded area.* Please do not invite us to your home if you have not yet landscaped your yard! “Swimming pool” means a private, in-ground, year-round pool that is available to the dog daily or multiple times per week. We do not place dogs in situations where there are "drained" or empty swimming pools, which are a fall hazard and contribute to the propogation of mosquitos. Last and not least, we DO NOT adopt to students as we have found that they often do not know or anticipate where life will take them. Discussion about a dog - including scheduling of a home check or other dialogue - cannot occur until we have received your completed adoption application. NO EXCEPTIONS. Thank you!   April 27, 2024, 12:06 am

YES we're still accepting applications for Lenny.  He is a sweet, playful guy that loves affection and pets.  Lenny is a fan favorite, bright and funny with a luscious coat and beautiful blue eyes.  He's eager to please and is a quick learner.  He does not need a companion dog but would not mind having someone his size to run around with.  This little boy is a gem!!!   Lenny will be placed in the Phoenix metro area, for proximity to our rescue (home checks, follow up visits, visit to finalize adoption) and for access to our veterinarian. Sorry, no exceptions. Our adoptions begin with a Foster-To-Adopt period, which is not feasible with remote placements.   If you believe you're a possible match for this dog - based on the detailed profile posted on our website - please complete our online adoption application!    We encourage you to register on our site and "Favorite" dog(s) that interest you, so that you will be notified when bio, photos, or status are updated. You can also opt to receive notifications for your favorite breed(s). "Fenced yard" means, a backyard that is adjacent to and connected with your residence and owned by you or your landlord. (It does not mean a nearby fenced area or dog park or apartment/condo dog play area.)  Gates must have padlocks and thresholds (cement or buried pavers to prevent digging.) Yard and patio must be free of debris and have room for dogs to run and play on a lawn and/or in a very shaded area. Please do not invite us to your home if you have not yet landscaped your yard! “Swimming pool” means a private (belongs to you), in-ground, year-round pool that is available to the dog daily or multiple times per week. We will not place a dog in a home that has a "drained" or empty swimming pool (fall hazard and contributes to the propogation of mosquitos.)
