Story
Buddy is a 3 year old male border collie/black labrador mix. Buddy was abused in his first home and then abandoned with WAR but under WARs care and attention, he has learned that not all humans hurt. He is listed as special needs because he is not good with children and would be best suited in a family without children and in a home where he has space to boogie! If you are interested in adopting Buddy, please visit the Wilton Animal Rescue and complete an adoption application,https://wiltonanimalrescue.com/adoption-application/ ##2372286##

Story
Meet Russell Russell is an absolute sweetheart with a calm, loving personality and wonderful house manners. He enjoys playing with the other dogs each morning and evening, and during the workday he’s perfectly content to relax quietly at your feet. On days when his foster works in the office, Russell settles comfortably in his crate for a full workday and does very well. He is fully housebroken and sleeps peacefully either in his crate or cuddled up on the bed. Russell especially loves curling up beside you at night and will happily snuggle close—sometimes climbing on top of you in the morning when he’s ready to start the day. Russell is neutral and appropriate with other dogs. He shows curiosity toward cats and squirrels, but he is responsive to redirection and continues to improve his focus on walks. He walks nicely on a loose leash and responds well to gentle guidance that helps set a calm tone at the start of the walk. This confident (but not pushy) boy has lovely manners around the home. He sits quietly at the door, waits to be invited inside by name, and is learning to maintain his doorway boundaries even when visitors arrive. He may give a brief alert bark if someone approaches the fence or rings the doorbell, but he is otherwise quiet and relaxed indoors. Russell already understands sit, down, and stay with hand signals and is beginning to learn verbal cues. He is a smart, eager dog who will continue to blossom with consistency and love. Overall, Russell is a gentle, affectionate companion who would thrive in a home looking for a loyal cuddle buddy with great potential and a sweet heart Interested in adopting? Story
Don't let his size fool you—Stacks is a big teddy bear! He has a calm, mellow personality and is one of the quietest puppies around. He enjoys playing but is also happy just relaxing by your side. Stacks loves kids, people, and other dogs. He can be a little shy when meeting someone new, but he's incredibly sweet once he gets comfortable. He sleeps in the crate well at night and is making progress with on potty-training. Stacks is ready to find a forever family that will cherish his gentle soul. (Please note, given this puppy's age, the adopter will need to be able to give potty breaks every 3 hours.) All HHR dogs come vaccinated (as age appropriate) and microchipped. All dogs over the age of 6 months are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. For puppies under 6 months, adopters must complete a spay/neuter contract and remit a refundable deposit of $350, which will be returned upon proof of spay/neuter. To meet this dog in person, please fill out an adoption application. If you are using Adopt-a-Pet, you may click on the "Apply Online" button.
