Roy needs a new home to no fault of his own. Roy is a very lovable 11 year old dog who just wants to be everyone’s best friend. He is a little nervous when meeting new dogs but once he is properly introduced to a calm and non reactive dog he can live with another dog. He gets along best with dogs that are smaller than him and calm. Roy loves being around children because he loves to run and play with them but he does not do well cats because he tries to chase them. He is happy to be lazy with you during the day and go on long walks in the morning and evening. Even with his age he is very strong and likes to jog and play fetch. Roy is crate trained but has been sleeping out of the crate for many years without any accident or chewing/destruction. He is extremely food motivated and knows a few commands. He loves treat puzzles and chew treats. When you’re at work or school he will lay on the sofa and wait to greet you when you get home

He can be a little shy at first, but he is gaining confidence and making great progress. He loves playing with Snowy, rides well in the car, and is getting much better on leash. Big, loud trucks can still make him nervous, but he handled fireworks surprisingly well. Charlie is looking for a patient family that will continue helping him feel safe and confident.
