Story
Hello, my name is Wonka and I am a sweet and affectionate collie/kelpie mix looking for my forever home. I am approximately 1-2 years old and have a beautiful chocolate/white coat and soulful eyes that will melt your heart. I love getting pet and playing fetch in the yard. I am very athletic and often do zoomies. I am also house trained and know some basic commands like sit, down, shake, wait, drop it, leave it, and kiss. My foster and trainer have been working with me on my leash skills, and I'm doing great. We are also working on building my confidence with other pups, and I'm doing well when properly introduced. If you are looking for a loyal and loving companion to join your family, I would love to meet you and see if we are a perfect match. Please consider giving me a chance to be a part of your life and shower you with all the love and affection I have to offer.

Story
Lizzo is an energetic, hyper and playful border collie mix. She is very independent but loves to be around you to hang out or play a match of tug of war or ball. She loves all her human pals but needs a supervised introduction to calm pets as she gets easily overstimulated. She thrives in a feline free household. She's very smart and loves puzzles and treats. She loves going for walks or even better, runs! She will run all day and will even hike with you. She's getting better at car rides and loves to stick her nose out the window and enjoy the cool breeze. She's not very fond of the water and is touch sensitive to her feet, ears or snout (she will not bite, but withdraw from you) but she will come up to you and give you cuddles and shake your hand to show that she can! She is house trained and knows basic commands such as sit, stay, and paw. She needs an experienced owner who can attend to her needs per her breed and give her a job and keep her stimulated physically and mentally.

Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner. 1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5.
