He can be a little shy at first, but he is gaining confidence and making great progress. He loves playing with Snowy, rides well in the car, and is getting much better on leash. Big, loud trucks can still make him nervous, but he handled fireworks surprisingly well. Charlie is looking for a patient family that will continue helping him feel safe and confident. Meet Buca! Buca is a 12 year old Border Collie and one of the sweetest senior boys you could hope to meet. He came into the shelter after being found with a microchip. Everyone hoped his family would come for him, but sadly, no one ever did. Shelter life was especially hard on Buca. As an older dog, he needed more rest, regular movement, and a comfortable place to relax. Once he got out of the shelter and had a chance to truly rest, we were surprised by the pep in his step. This sweet guy still has plenty of life, love, and personality to share. Buca is a little overweight and would benefit from regular walks and a healthier routine, but otherwise he is a pretty easy guy. What he really wants is a soft place to sleep, people to love, and a peaceful home to call his own. A few things to love about Buca: • Sweet and affectionate • Great with people • Good with other dogs • Potty trained • Fine in a crate, though he doesn’t really need one • Enjoys walks • Happy to relax and just be near his people Buca deserves to spend his senior years in comfort, surrounded by people who love him. If you love herding dogs and are looking for a velcro dog, Molly is your girl! This sweetheart is absolutely dedicated to her human. Molly will attempt to hug you every second of every minute she is with you. Trying to pick something up off the floor? Nope, you're getting smothered in kisses. Want to go to the bathroom by yourself? Uh un, no you may not shut that door without this sleek little shadow zipping in faster than lightning. Molly was brought to the shelter as a stray, and her coat and behaviors show she was out on a grand adventure for a bit. Now that she is clean and groomed, this black beauty is a cuddle bug who easily redirects from inspecting the trash. Molly needs slow introductions to other dogs and does well with submissive dogs. She does very well with redirection and distraction when she starts to get antsy around other dogs. Really, these behaviors are insecurity of her environment, but she has learned to adapt to pack life quite easily. Her herding instincts are very strong and she loves to play with the herding ball and direct the other dogs in games of chase. Molly has not been tested with cats, but she would likely chase them. She is a little nervous when loose in the car, but rides very well in her kennel. She likes to bark at grey trucks in particular. Molly is approximately 2 years old, is spayed, and is UTD on her vaccinations. She will need an active family who can give her the exercise and mental stimulation this girl needs to thrive!

Bianchi is from Redding, though I met her owner in willow. So, I nearly named her willow but decided to go for a street name I grew up near - Bianchi. She is a fun, loving pup who loves the outdoors, meeting new people and dogs, and experiencing life. She has a good attitude with distraction though this could be worked on along with her recall. She’s got great potential to be a family dog or a single persons dog, whichever is able to give her the most attention. She’s very playful, but can get carried away at times with cats - however we were able to work on most of her reactivity with the ones in our home. A slow introduction to cats and dogs in a new home would work great for her in my opinion! If I had more time in my hand to give her, I would not be making this post but I believe with her still being very young and so passionate, she can make the perfect family addition to someone who does have the time. Flitz is a very playful, affectionate dog who loves being around people. He enjoys attention, cuddling, and spending time with humans, and he also does well around other dogs and cats. He has a fun, loving personality and would do best with someone who wants a companion they can truly spend time with. Flitz is fully trained and knows his obedience commands. He walks well, understands structure, and is also e-collar trained. He has developed cataracts, which has caused him to become blind, but he has adjusted well and uses his nose, hearing, and awareness to navigate. His blindness does not take away from his happy personality or his ability to enjoy life. Due to moving restrictions, we are no longer able to keep him, and we want to make sure he goes to someone with good intentions who will give him the life he deserves.
