Story
Dottie and Akita were born on January 15th, 2026 and are some of the fluffiest, cuddliest big girls. Weighing in at over 15 lbs as of March 22nd, these girls we believe will be over 70 lbs once full grown. Their mom is a 60 lb border collie/lab mix, dad is a traveling milk man. Dottie and Akita are the last 2 of the puppies from the litter remaining. Both girls love other dogs! We encourage another dog in the home for socialization, but it is not needed as these girls are just so friendly and outgoing. They have been introduced to cats and if anything, they are more scared of the cats than anything. The cats want to snuggle up and they run away. They would do wonderful in a home with cats too, and more likely small animals as they have ZERO prey drive. Dottie and Akita are learning house training and do wonderful with crate training at night. They sleep a solid 8 hours in their crate with no issues. They are curious and too smart for their own good. They want to explore everywhere they can and like to slip through their puppy panels to go gallivant around other areas of the house and backyard. Both girls need plenty of exercise as they are both very active. They would be AMAZING with children. Akita – She looks more like a Norwegian elk hound – She is way more outgoing and rambunctious than Dottie. She is very confident and would do fine with no other dogs in the home. Loves her belly to be rubbed. Never leaves her sister alone. A great dog to take on adventures as she likes to go and go and go. First one to try anything. A dog that would rather ask for forgiveness than permission. Bold and beautiful. WATER DOG 100% - will sit in water bowls and anything she can, water related Dottie – Looks more like a St. Bernard mix – She was timid the first 24 hours and then flourished after. We do recommend another dog in the home with Dottie as she is not as confident as Akita. Dottie is curious but will hang back and let Akita try everything first, very smart. Will ask permission before forgiveness. Loyal. Will become very attached to their human. Likes to lounge around a bit more than Akita but still loves her playing time. If you are looking for a great personality, loyal, smart, playful, VERY food motivated, and all around fantastic active puppies – please consider one of these girls. They will have 2 sets of parvo/distemper vaccines, bordatella, microchip, rabies if old enough, current bravecto (flea/tick prevention), current heartgard, current dewormer, negative fecal, and a clean bill of health from a veterinarian prior to transport. To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. We do adopt in Central US and the East Coast. The adoption fee listed INCLUDES transport from Texas to the location where this animal is posted in. Story
Palmer is a handsome 2½-year-old Border Collie. Palmer is potty trained, knows sit and wait commands and is very smart! He is happiest people, toys with a job to do. He has been in foster care for several months patiently waiting for his forever home while he heals from a significant abrasion to his foot, but true to his breed and his resilient spirit, Palmer is ready for a lifetime companion. He loves leash walks, but sometimes his exuberance can be a bit overwhelming but we are sure that with consistency and regular walks, he will learn to be a perfect walking companion. He’s an intelligent dog who thrives with loving, consistent discipline and clear guidance. Palmer may do best in an adult, or older children only household that understands the needs of a driven, intelligent dog and is excited to include him as part of their daily routine. With the right structure, exercise, and affection, Palmer will be a loyal companion, adventure buddy, and devoted best friend.

Canterbury, CT
Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Alphonse and his brother, Edward were found abandoned by their owner, and taken by local police to a rural North Carolina animal shelter. They recently joined our Connecticut Rescue.  Alphonse has an outgoing personality and shows the energy and intelligence that characterize Border Collies. Despite the chaotic shelter process, he shows no obvious signs of trauma or neglect.  DNA testing confirmed our guess that Smooth Coat Border Collie is Alphonse’s dominant breed, although 8 other breeds were detected in small measures. There is no mistaking that dramatic Collie profile.  Alphonse has an electric chemistry, and he is athletic and high energy. He would be a great choice for a savvy Working Breed adopter, willing to continue training and socialization.  Alphonse could easily join a multi-dog or cat home with older, playful animals tolerant of puppy energy. He would thrive with an active family with older kids who have been taught to be gentle with young dogs.  Alphonse is available solo, or with his brother, Edward, to an adopter seeking a compatible pair. Both puppies are in excellent health, fully vaccinated and dewormed. If interested please write to Angelsfrgod@aol.com or call/text Denise at 860-908-9738 for more info.
