Story
Meet Sheesh, a one-year-old pup whose unique personality perplexed her foster mom until she received the breed results — border collie and Labrador retriever!  Sheesh’s hobbies are all lab. She loves playing fetch and brings the ball back consistently.  Sheesh also loves water and will go towards any source of water, whether it’s coming from a sprinkler in the neighborhood or running in a creek. She loves being outside in the rain and isn’t afraid of getting all wet. She’s so calm and easy during baths that her foster mom still bathes her in the kitchen sink even though she’s much too big for it now at 45 lbs full grown.  The border collie in Sheesh is also very apparent in how intelligent and obedient she is. Sheesh follows instructions without the need for a treat. She’ll come when you call her name and go to her crate when told to. She’s very smart and learns new skills quickly. She also has some herding tendencies and can get very focused on things like a squirrel in the yard. She’s of course energetic, but does take plenty of naps throughout the day.  Sheesh will do best in an active home with owners who want to take her on long morning walks. Sheesh loves her walks, but she can get a little too excited by other excitable dogs she encounters. She will need someone willing to work with her on this, possibly with a trainer’s help. Sheesh is very redirectable and responsive if the person walking her knows what to do.  Sheesh has been in her foster home since July 2024 and is fully potty trained, crate trained and has zero separation anxiety. She’s super friendly, happy and loving, and is friends with all the dogs in her foster home. There’s not a mean bone in her body. She even shows remarkable patience with small puppies, letting them climb all over her and chew on her beautiful, fluffy tail. Although she’s not perfect, Sheesh is a special young dog who will bring great joy to her forever family.”

Story
Meet Ozy, a one-year-old Labrador retriever and border collie mix with all the lovable qualities of a lab in a slightly smaller package.  Full grown at 55 lbs, Ozy loves water, is an expert at playing fetch and has the best nature. He’s friendly, lovable, a little goofy and just wants to sit on your lap! He’s great with other dogs of all ages and shows remarkable patience with the small puppies in his foster home.  Ozy is a turn-key ready dog. He was rescued from a rural shelter in July 2024 and has been learning how to be a good dog in his foster home ever since. Ozy is 100-percent potty trained, crate trained, easy to walk on a leash and obedient. He’s a good listener. He’ll come when you call his name and go to his crate when told. He aims to please his person. He loves a good treat, but it isn’t required for him to listen to instructions. Ozy is very smart and learns new skills quickly. Ozy does best with a good walk in the morning, but his energy level isn’t off the charts for being part border collie. But we would like his forever home to be an active one. Ozy would love to go on all the adventures with his new family. He absolutely loves going for car rides, and he would truly thrive going on hikes or walks in new places with his forever family.

Story
Pappy is, what we call in rescue, a “very good boy!” He is young; estimated to be between 1-2 years old. He weighs 45-50 pounds and we believe he is a red Border Collie/ Great Pyrenees mix. This is an educated guess, based on his coloring and double back do claws, so Great Pyrenees mix is very likely. Pappy has interacted favorably with many other dogs in rescue. He is most friendly with female dogs and submissive males and super friendly with people! He has a gentle nature and is affectionate. He will be a fun and easy addition to any active family or individual wanting to add a 4-legged companion who will be an eager partner in crime and a constant source of unconditional love. He is pretty good on a leash and crate trained.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Story
Calling all families looking for an energetic, playful goof ball of a dog! This boy is it! Archie is a fun-loving, romp in the yard, get dirty kind of guy. He hasn't met a dog or person that he doesn't love. He is looking for high adventure and maybe even a doggy sibling or two (he can wear them out!). Archie is crate-trained, needs some work on potty-training, and also practice riding in a car (he gets car sick but can overcome this). If you are ready to turn your dull days into epic adventures, then Archie is waiting for you!FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN.
