This lovely girl is named Sue.. She was owner surrendered to Okeechobee shelter due to her people moving. She is 6 yrs young. Knows the command sit, hw negative and now spayed!!! Sue is very stimulated by other dogs, She gets excited and barks. She nips at them to get them going. Yet, when all is quiet, she is too. She would be fine in a home without another dog and would do best with a fenced yard. She needs leash work, but knows some basic commands. She crates easily. So she switches from herdy to calm. Because she is motion activated, she would not be a good running mate or a fun dog for long walks. She would love to be someone’s companion dog. She is not the least bit interested in playing ball. I find that she just wants to be wherever I am, but no anxiety. She doesn’t like thunder or gunshots but handles it okay. She is fine with my little dogs. I don’t think she had ever been around any. She really just wants dogs to run and play, so she tried to get them going with barking and being kind of in their face. Not all dogs will like that. I repeat, She would be fine by herself or with another playful dog. Cats are like not there lol.. .Will need a fenced yard so she can run freely.and loves to ride in the car!!!!! We are in need of a border savvy adopter. Anyone that can help her ?? Great dog for an older couple with a settled dog, that she can hang out with. She is fostered in Palm City, Fl on the east coast. Owner surrendered to the shelter at 10 yrs old and overweight at 75 lbs. Anna is a sweet Border Collie girl who is working hard at loosing weight. She loves going for walks in the morning and can be found sitting at the door waiting to go. Car rides are a big favorite with Anna. Amazingly she can get into the car all by herself. She watches the squirrels run the fence and it won't be long til she is able to chase. Anna is in a foster home with 4 other dogs, both big and small. She is content laying on the floor, dog bed and can get herself up on the sofa. Anna is house trained. Working on her leash walking. Anna would be happiest with a person who can spend a lot of time with her. Children over 12 who are respectful of her age will be ok. Anna may chase cats.
