Sabrina is an amazing dog who just needs someone willing to work with her. She is amazing with children (just needs work on being too excited around small children She absolutely loves sniff walks and fetch to wear her out and work her brain. She will need a more involved owner who understands her needs. She’s got some unique quirks that make her even more special! She needs a very slow introduction to other dogs but has been able to play with and be around some other non dominant dogs. She does have Addison disease which is kept in control with a monthly injection. She would benefit from a forever home with someone who can keep up with that and give her a calm loving environment to spend her golden years. Charlie is a beautiful young and energetic border collie! He is almost 4 (DOB 5/22/22), and is a very sweet boy who loves to give kisses and play all the time! However, he does have some behavioral issues like resource guarding that are still a work in progress. Training has been extensive, but he is eager to learn and is very food motivated! I think he needs a different environment, unfortunately, as I am not able to continue the training myself. He needs structure and consistent training with lots of room to run and play. He knows all the basic commands (sit, stay, shake, roll over, spin) and is fully crate trained as well. I love him dearly, and want the absolute best for him.

Puppies - We do not adopt puppies under 16 weeks to out of state adopters. This is due to our spay/neuter policy, and all dogs must be spayed/neutered before leaving Georgia state lines. We do not adopt siblings to the same household. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
