Story
Lily is a super sweet girl 40# girl with lots of energy.  She is good with other dogs and people and looking for her furever home.  Due to some minor resource guarding, no children under 16.  Lily enjoys chasing a ball and will return for you reliably.   She knows sit, down, heel, place and give paw.  A super smart girl that needs an active and patient home to continue her training, she will get you out and moving !  ##1907387##

Story
Isabella is very loyal, brilliant, and seeks to please. However, she also severely has the typical border collie boredom issue. She needs a job and she needs attention and tons of exercise. Otherwise, she digs, becomes defiant, obsessive, destructive, etc. She is obsessed with balls, frisbees and playing fetch. She will need training to get around typical border collie behavioral issues, to be around other dogs, and to know what is or is not allowed. However, if you have the time, she learns amazingly fast. Adopter would need to be familiar with the breed and able to provide training. I can't stress enough how important it is for her to have an active adopter familiar with border collies. She is very sensitive to loud noises such as thunder, gun shots, fire works, vacuum, and needs special attention when occurring. House trained. Can sit, lie, stay, & use doggie door. Her behavioral problems are just beyond what I can handle and she deserves an owner who can give her more to help.

Story
Sabrina is an amazing dog who just needs someone willing to work with her. She is amazing with children (just needs work on being too excited around small children but has gotten much better with our fosters 2 year old) She is most definitely mixed with a working breed - she needs consistent exercise to be a calm house dog and will become destructive if her mind isn’t stimulated. She absolutely loves sniff walks and fetch to wear her out and work her brain. She will need a more involved owner who understands her needs. She has a lot of allergies and our vet believes her skin issues may just be a chronic life long struggle. She is taking 1/2 an apoquel a day and her foster supplements with calming treats and allergy/immune boost treats daily. We have not done an elimination diet to determine exact allergies, but she is currently eating Rachel Ray Limited Ingredient (Just 6 depending on bag design/store) Lamb flavor and has been doing better! She still has bald spots and flare ups if the weather is bad or she gets stressed out. We’re working on determining when it happens to try and eliminate the flare ups so her hair can grow back fully. Currently all 4 shoulders have some degree of baldness and occasional bumps from her chewing, but I’ve been keeping sweaters on her and the calming treats to try and get her to leave the area alone long enough for the hair to grow back. She’s got some unique quirks that make her even more special! She is described as being cat like - she absolutely loves to be up high looking over everything. When outside, she can be found hopping onto the patio table to look in windows or take a nap. She’s also been caught napping on top of book shelves or any surface big enough to hold her body and she’ll curl up like she’s meant to be there! She has no fear when it comes to humans, but can be skittish in the house when it comes to switching rooms or entering/exiting like she’s unsure what will come from the other room. She does alright with other dogs in neutral territory, but does resource guard her food, kennel, and occasionally the fosters sun room if she can see the other dogs filtering in and out while she’s hanging out in there. However, she responds incredibly well to correction and is eager to please! With or without treats, she loves to practice new skills and is working incredibly hard to be calm in the house! She still has trouble channeling her energy some days if she hasn’t had enough stimulation, but you can see how hard she tries to maintain composure during training sessions! She’s a work in progress, but her personality and temperament are perfect for someone looking for a loyal dog that’s willing to do anything from cuddle on the couch to adventure with them! https://www.pupandcatco.com/

Story
Meet “Nella” - a brand new member of the RMG family. “Nella” is an Italian name meaning highly praiseworthy, luminous, radiant and TRULY this describes her perfectly. She was found tied to a dumpster behind a restaurant outside a few hours outside of Atlanta - there was even some talk around of her brother possibly having been shot - so people must have known more about her after animal control picked her up.   Lena or LenaBean as her foster parents fondly call her, is truly the most tender hearted, affectionate, sweet natured energizer bunny ever! In the house Lena is a couch potato and LOVES to be with her human and dog family. Outside, Lena turns into a lightening speed, chipmunk hunter and cross country triathlete. She runs top speed through the fenced in yard with her foster brother chasing squirrels and chipmunks and just showing off her general love for life. Lena is definitely a high energy dog that would need a family that has a completely fenced in yard and experience with breeds that are very intelligent and require a lot of exercise. Lena absolutely has an off switch, which is great, and she also has the eager to please nature so common with Border Collies. Her previous life before coming into RMG’s family has left her with some quirks which her new family should be aware of. She has a tremendous fear of loud noises and definitely needs some human support and comfort when lawn mowers, weed wackers and such are going. All in all, she is a very special girl that has the sweetest heart and deserves a family that will play with, love and protect her. Interested in adopting? Email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website- www.rmgdogs.org PLEASE NOTE: Previous first hand ownership experience with either purebred border collies or Australian Shepherds is a strict requirement to adopt Lena ##2046459##

Great dog I really hate to part ways with him but I have to due to unfortunate circumstances. Hes a very smart and well trained dog who understands commands whenever your outside with him along with. He’s very very protective and loves to play. His favorite toy is anything relating to a ball cause he’s a fetch king lol. When you have treats for him he’ll perform all kinds of new tricks for you as I stated before I really hate to part ways with because hes apart of me and my kids family but I can not afford to care for him anymore being that I’m always working.

Story
Morgan is a 1 year old, 30 lb mixed breed cutie. She came to us from animal control on the day she was supposed to be euthanized. She is a shy girl but oh so sweet. Morgan is very food motivated and follows her foster mom around the house. Food has really helped her bond and trust. She does well with both cats and dogs, and she really looks to other dogs for guidance. She has been with dogs, small to large and does well with all of them. She also loves to play with other dogs. She is truly a great sized, sweet girl. Due to Morgan's past, the trainer we worked with believes she would do best in a quiet home with a few other dogs and no children. She does best in a structured environment because it makes her feel most secure. To adopt this sweet girl, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org Her adoption fee is $150, which includes her shots up-to-date, microchipping, spay, and heartworm testing.
