She also adores kids and would be a wonderful family companion. Her gentle, affectionate nature makes her the perfect playmate and cuddle buddy for children. After burning off her energy, Lucy transforms into the ultimate snuggle bug. She loves curling up next to her favorite humans, soaking in all the love and affection she can get. She’s looking for a forever family who will embrace her active lifestyle and give her plenty of belly rubs at the end of the day. It is used to screen those interested to make sure the home is a good match for the pet and your family. We verify vet history on current/previous pets to ensure pets have been spayed/neutered and vaccinated annually. Please call your vet to give permission for us to call them. Lucy's adoption fee is $300. She have been given age-appropriate vaccinations, are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested and treated, if necessary, dewormed, have received flea prevention, and are micro-chipped. Meet Carson Dukes. His eyes (one blue, one brown) are unique and strikingly gorgeous, one myth even says that dogs with two different color eyes can view heaven and earth at the same time. Carson is an adult Border Collie mix who has been with us since he was just a pup. Like some of our others he can be a bit shy and timid around new people so he would benefit from an adopter who is willing to spend some time with him at our kennel. Once he figures out who will be his friend he is very loving. Oh, and he is a bit of an escape artist, six feet or chain link does not hold a challenge for him. He never leaves us; he just doesn’t like to be fenced. Carson would be a great indoor companion with supervised outdoor exercise.  Carson recently spent some time in a foster home. He adjusted well to being a house dog, is crate trained, and almost housebroken. He got along with the other dogs, really enjoyed stretching his long legs running and playing in the yard, and was happily contained with the 8ft privacy fence. His foster family describes him as, "lovable, sweet, playful, and quirky in the most endearing way."  Carson's adoption fee includes neuter, microchip, current vaccinations, and up to date heartworm/flea/tick prevention. She gets along well with other dogs but is wary of new people choosing to study them closely before. Her foster mom says that letting people prove that they are trustworthy is a good policy. Hazel is a high-energy dog who is also quite affectionate when given the time and opportunity to bond with deserving people. Toys and playtime are more important to her than treats, so she needs someone who has time to throw a ball for her. She is SO much fun! Meet Dixie!   She is extrremely high energy and playful. but also loves to settle and cuddle after getting her zoomies out of her system.  We are baffled by her breed but suspect it is a mini Aussie mix with chihuahua perhaps?   She enjoys other active dogs her size and can run very fast!  She loves playing with her toys, and can be a a litlte timid at first but then bonds quickly.  At 12lbs she appears to be young and eager to please.  Learning potty training with her patient foster mom, she is crate trained, sleeps quietly through the night and awakens with lots of loving energy!    She must have another active dog to play with due to her energy levels.   We think she would be okay with cats as well as kids, but hasnt been formerly tested.    If you would,like to adopt Dixie, please apply at buttsmutts.com  ##2358835##

Gentle and sweet, Tomekia will make a loyal companion for the right family!   Her brindle coat and curious eyes are beautiful and she seems to be very intelligent and loves cuddles. She is moderatley active and would enjoy the safety of another dog who can help her understand home life.  She was in foster care for a few nights and appears to be potty trained and we know she is crate trained.    Tomekia  needs a family who can give her a quiet space to decompress from life inside a noisy, anxiety provoking shelter.  Patience and compassion will help her feel safe.  We do not recommend younger children for that reason but older kids who can respect her boundaries and play fetch with her should be fine.    Tomekia  prefers dogs her own size and has a prey drive with cats and small dogs.  Please apply to adopt at buttsmutts.com ##2351577##
