Story
This sweetest of fellows is now named Oreo, and it's still so hard to believe that he was mere moments away from losing his life at an overcrowded shelter before I took him in. Since then, I've grown to love him and his endearing personality more and more each day. Nothing would make me happier than to simply keep him, but then I wouldn't be able to save another pup in desperate need. Oreo loves every person he meets, and even more so if you let him weave between your legs. His favorite things to do are go for walks and explore, relax in a sunny patch of grass, play fetch, and snuggle up next to his people. He's not an overly-cuddly dog, but he is very affectionate and loves to give kisses and be next to you in the home. He's good with other dogs - and lives with 2 others currently - but must be introduced properly and preferably only live with females. He'd most likely be good with children, as he's never shown any resource guarding or human aggression. Oreo is mostly blind in his left eye (the reason it appears blue) which I can only assume occurred after an untreated injury earlier in his life, but this doesn't slow him down or effect him in the slightest (evaluated by vet)! Plays fetch very well! He hates being crated, but doesn't need to be when left alone. We're working on his leash manners. He's very eager to please and listens well. Oreo LOVES to explore and see the world, and if he gets out the door or away from you on leash, you'll have a tough time getting him back. I'll discuss strategies to prevent him escaping and ways to lure him back with all potential adopters. He is very scared of thunderstorms, but is not loud or destructive - just trembles excessively and tries to hide. Oreo will need a home with a fenced backyard and someone able and willing to take him for a walk daily. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2rC2sYHJ3E  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ioFfLCfIavI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fw2z6pjK1ZI Age:  7years  Weight:  65 lbs   Vetting: Up-to-date on vaccines, neutered, and heartworm negative   Temperament: Cautious meeting new people good with dogs and older respectful kids. Great dog I really hate to part ways with him but I have to due to unfortunate circumstances. Hes a very smart and well trained dog who understands commands whenever your outside with him along with. He’s very very protective and loves to play. His favorite toy is anything relating to a ball cause he’s a fetch king lol. When you have treats for him he’ll perform all kinds of new tricks for you as I stated before I really hate to part ways with because hes apart of me and my kids family but I can not afford to care for him anymore being that I’m always working.

Story
Morgan is a 1 year old, 30 lb mixed breed cutie. She came to us from animal control on the day she was supposed to be euthanized. She is a shy girl but oh so sweet. Morgan is very food motivated and follows her foster mom around the house. Food has really helped her bond and trust. She does well with both cats and dogs, and she really looks to other dogs for guidance. She has been with dogs, small to large and does well with all of them. She also loves to play with other dogs. She is truly a great sized, sweet girl. Due to Morgan's past, the trainer we worked with believes she would do best in a quiet home with a few other dogs and no children. She does best in a structured environment because it makes her feel most secure. To adopt this sweet girl, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org Her adoption fee is $150, which includes her shots up-to-date, microchipping, spay, and heartworm testing.

Story
Meet “Nella” - a brand new member of the RMG family. “Nella” is an Italian name meaning highly praiseworthy, luminous, radiant and TRULY this describes her perfectly. She was found tied to a dumpster behind a restaurant outside a few hours outside of Atlanta - there was even some talk around of her brother possibly having been shot - so people must have known more about her after animal control picked her up.   Lena or LenaBean as her foster parents fondly call her, is truly the most tender hearted, affectionate, sweet natured energizer bunny ever! In the house Lena is a couch potato and LOVES to be with her human and dog family. Outside, Lena turns into a lightening speed, chipmunk hunter and cross country triathlete. She runs top speed through the fenced in yard with her foster brother chasing squirrels and chipmunks and just showing off her general love for life. Lena is definitely a high energy dog that would need a family that has a completely fenced in yard and experience with breeds that are very intelligent and require a lot of exercise. Lena absolutely has an off switch, which is great, and she also has the eager to please nature so common with Border Collies. Her previous life before coming into RMG’s family has left her with some quirks which her new family should be aware of. She has a tremendous fear of loud noises and definitely needs some human support and comfort when lawn mowers, weed wackers and such are going. All in all, she is a very special girl that has the sweetest heart and deserves a family that will play with, love and protect her. Interested in adopting? Email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website- www.rmgdogs.org PLEASE NOTE: Previous first hand ownership experience with either purebred border collies or Australian Shepherds is a strict requirement to adopt Lena ##2046459##

Story
Chris is a young, friendly, playful, and affectionate dog looking for a fur-ever home. Chris has a lot of energy and would make an ideal running partner or a companion for long walks in the park. While in the care center, our handlers have noticed that Chris is a bit dominant around other dogs, so he would need to meet future siblings before adoption. Despite this, Chris is an incredibly intelligent dog and is very people-oriented. With his loving nature and friendly disposition, Chris is sure to be a great companion. Chris is fully vaccinated and neutered.
