This sweet girl is a fetch fanatic who lives for playtime and loves nothing more than chasing balls with her favorite humans. She’s both treat and toy motivated and ready to learn new tricks. Montana gets along fine with other dogs, but she’s truly a people-focused pup who wants to be your number-one play partner. On a recent Doggie Day Out adventure, she proved to be a calm car passenger and a wonderful trail companion. She enjoys sniffy walks and likes to lead the way without pulling on the leash. Though Montana can be a little shy when meeting new people, she warms up quickly with patience (and a few tasty treats). She was picked up stray by an animal control officer on 8/18/26; hold expires 8/21/26. She is calm and low energy. She appears to be well socialized. She was thin at intake. She is heartworm negative. She is current on vaccines. She is leash broken. She sits on command. Meds: heartworm negative, distemper/parvo, pyrantal deworm, fleay spray, bordetella/parainfluenza. Meet Alix, a beautiful 3-year-old Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix who weighs 55 pounds and has a wonderfully calm, good-natured personality. From the moment we met her, Alix impressed us with her gentle, easygoing nature. She appears friendly and well socialized and has been a pleasure to handle. Alix has a gorgeous white-and-black coat, but her wonderfully fluffy, curled tail may be our favorite feature—it stands out behind her like a little flag waving in the breeze! She is calm and quiet, and so far, we haven't even heard her bark. If you enjoy walks with a well-mannered companion, Alix could be a great match. She is excellent on a leash and heels nicely as she walks. She also knows how to sit on command, showing that she's ready to continue learning with her new family. She was completely cooperative for her diagnostics and vaccines and didn't even need a muzzle for her heartworm blood draw. Her heartworm test was negative. Alix has so much to offer a loving home.
