Story
Sweeney Todd? More like Cuddle Bug! This almost ten year old chunk was surrendered to us after his owner could no longer properly care for him. Sweeney absolutely loves people and is ready to curl up on the laps of anyone who will give him attention. He has done fine with cats before but would prefer to be the only dog in the home to not have to fight for the comfiest spot on the couch. Sweeney has enjoyed his time at the shelter with the nice staff and volunteers, but nothing beats a home of his own. If you would like to foster or adopt this golden aged sweety stop by the shelter!

Meet Angus! He is a super sweet boy that came to our shelter as a stray and was never reclaimed by his family. Don't let his breed dissuade you! He is pretty calm despite being a Border Collie mix. He recently came back from the vet after his neuter and they had nothing but positive things to say about this boy! He can entertain himself by tossing and chasing toys around. He is very clean in his kennel, does not bark much and does well with kids, dogs and cats. If you're interested in meeting him he can be found at the Clarke County Animal Shelter in Osceola, IA. You won't regret coming to meet him!

Story
Meet Kage, the ultimate good boy who's just so darn cute! This gentleman is a pro at house living, fully potty trained, and a master at walking on a leash and harness. He's a social butterfly, getting along famously with other dogs and loving those backyard playdates with his pals. Kage is a stunning mix of Lab and Border Collie, the perfect blend of intelligence and family-friendliness. He's just the right size, like a mini Lab or a slightly larger Border Collie. When you find two fantastic things that go together like peanut butter and jelly, you celebrate! Kage is that winning combo, and now you can celebrate by making him a cherished member of your family. His temperament is pure gold - sweet as honey with everyone he meets. Now, here's the scoop: Kage is a special needs pup, and he's looking for someone who can be with him about 90 percent of the time. Storms, rain, and loud noises send him into severe panic attacks, and he's been known to chew through walls when anxiety strikes. Crates aren't his jam because of past storm-related trauma. He's also dealing with seizures, so he's on medication for that. Kage would thrive in a local adoption, and he's best as a single dog with no cats or small animals around. He's a wonderful companion for older kids, and he loves nothing more than cuddles and long walks. He's got the whole house training thing down too. His foster mom adores him and has prepared him for his forever family as best she can. Now, the ball is in your court. Remember, when you adopt Kage, you're not just bringing home a good boy; you're giving him the loving, understanding home he deserves. Don't shop, adopt, because Kage's life depends on it! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

So, have you ever written a novel??? Or maybe just a paper for your Bachelor's degree?? Well then ACE is something you would completely understand, right?? LOL, who wants to remember the most horrible trauma you have had as a college student?? A-Answer, C-Cite, E-Explain.... so now you know, my name may represent some kind of forgettable nightmares from English Lit... but you can now exchange that nightmare with LOVE and PUPPY FUN!!! Ace is my name, I am a sweet boy, maybe border collie/lab mix who has a way with words :) Barking that is!!! No I am not a serial barker, I am kind of a quiet guy, whose love you will see in my eyes, not in your ears :D I am such a good boy, I never want to end up on the streets like I was found, and this is where you come into the picture! I am ready for adoption! I am ready for you! I am ready to live my forever life with my forever family :) ADOPT.... DON'T SHOP!!! MY LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included as well)

HOW TO ADOPT: This dog is available for adoption by request. To schedule a time to meet this dog, please contact Kathryn at KVry@arl-iowa.org. --- Needs a bit of time to warm up to new people, but once you're in her circle, she loves to stick with you and be by your side - Seems to prefer to be the only dog and tends to avoid interactions with other dogs - Does well on a leash and would love lazy walks - Would likely do best in standalone housing vs apartment living - Looking for a teens-and-up home right now so she can feel as comfortable as possible - She prefers the quiet life and may not enjoy large events or gatherings - Absolutely loves playing with squeaky toys - Knows sit, down, stay, and shake The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Age: 4yrs 1mths 2wks
