Story
Luke is a gentle, loving boy with a calm and quiet nature. He enjoys playing catch and is perfectly content entertaining himself with a ball. He’s very attentive, eager to please, and impressively easy to train—he picked up kennel training in just two days. Luke is affectionate and loves to give hugs, always looking to his people for reassurance and connection. He can be timid around other dogs, likely due to past experiences as a stray; when he was found, he had bite marks and a wound on his leg, all of which have since healed. Despite everything he’s been through, Luke’s gratitude for being rescued shines through in everything he does. He’s eager to learn, eager to love, and would make a wonderful companion. Luke does well with cats and children and is ready to find a safe, patient home where he can truly thrive. 💛

Story
Chunk is a 5 yr old mix breed (border collie/?Pit) kissy, lovable pal. I was told border collie/pit mix. I acquired him from an older couple in a rehome site. Vet says he looks more border collie than pit. Chunk is great with people. Chunk is amazing with other dogs at daycare. However at home he does not get along with one of my two other dogs. For a new home Chunk needs lots of opportunity to run. Chunk needs a lot of affection and one on one time. Chunk may be better as the only dog in the home. Chunk needs an experienced foster or adopted owner with lots of patience and time. Moving soon and he needs a new home as well. Shy of men.

Story
Meet Ameera!Ameera is a 10-year-old Border Collie that currently weighs about 52 pounds fully grown! Ameera can be shy during her meets, so she will need multiple greetings to feel comfortable enough to trust. But once she has the opportunity to get to know you, and become a part of your family, she would love to cuddle with her favorite humans. Ameera does well with dogs, cats, and even pigs, but will still need to have proper introductions to any resident animals living in the home to make sure that it is a great match. Ameera would do best in a home without resident or visiting children, as she can get overwhelmed by fast movements and loud noises. Because Ameera still has a hard time trusting people that are new to her, lots of frequent visitors can be really scary for her and would not be the best fit. Due to this reason, Ameera would require a 6ft tall, fully fenced in yard. This will not only to help her get the exercise she needs without having unneeded stress, but to also make her feel protected in her home. Ameera is also a very smart and well-mannered dog, and she sure knows quite the skills! She has learned commands such as `sit`, `down`, and `off`, she is crate trained for bed and is even housebroken! Ameera is a dog that loves to be on furniture and would love to take naps on couches, so a home that is okay with furniture surfing would definitely be the home for her! While there are things she can be confident in, there are still some things that Ameera considers to be too overwhelming for her, that most other dogs love. Those things are car rides, going on walks somewhere where she is not familiar, and especially meeting people inside of her space/home. Even though Ameera may have lots of people who love her and take great care of her at the shelter, living in a shelter is stressful for dogs like Ameera and she would love to be in a permanent home that is willing to provide her with the patience and the consistency she needs to be successful. If you would be interested in knowing more information about Ameera or potentially scheduling a time to meet with her, please fill out an adoption application on our website. Please know that some information may change overtime, as we get to know her better.

Story
Moxie is a 2-year-old Border Collie mix.  As with any Border Collie or mix, she does need a lot of exercise for her mind and body.  She does have some anxiety and would definitely benefit from continued training for confidence and exercise.  She would be a great agility dog!  She does require a physical fence. She would do best in a home with no other pets as she is not really especially fond of other dogs and she can be protective of her food. Kids 10 and over would be preferred so they are old enough to understand her limits.

Story
I got Sam early this year. He was abused and abandoned, so I took him in. He is about 11 months old. He's very energetic and playful, pretty shy around new people but he blossoms anywhere. Im having issues with my apartment. I currently have no heat, water and my power cut off a little bit ago. This is no place for him to be, it's not safe and he can't thrive here. I have to move myself, but I can't guarantee that I can find a place that's better than this for him, so he needs to find a good forever home. No cost as long as he can be picked up. I don't have transport.
