Violet is ready to love afamily who can offer her space and time to decompress. Violet has lived with a cat in the past. She could possibly again with acat or with a dog with a thoughtful introduction. She could possibly livewith children who can participate in her training plan and work on pettingconsent. Come meet Violet at the MSPCA in Methuen on Tuesdays through Sundays from12PM to 4:30PM. If you think Violet could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by our Nevins Farm Adoption Center in Methuen. Story
THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN A FOSTER HOME WITHIN A REASONABLE DISTANCE OF OUR KENNEL IN WOBURN, MA. ONCE A POTENTIAL ADOPTER IS MATCHED WITH A DOG AND GOES THROUGH OUR REFERENCE AND INTERVIEW PROCESS WITH AN ADOPTION COORDINATOR THIS DOG WOULD BE AVAILABLE FOR YOU TO MEET BEFORE ADOPTION. IT IS OUR GOAL TO GET ALL LOCAL DOGS TO THEIR FOREVER FAMILIES WITHIN 7 DAYS ONCE MATCHED. **Please read Odali's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!** Meet Odali - a 4 year old, Border Collie/husky mix, who weighs about 62 pounds (as of 12/20/25). This gal was previously a stray in Mexico before snooping her way to the local rescue and getting adopted here in New England. While she has gotten along with her foster’s puppy and family member’s dogs after proper introductions, we have found that Odali does not enjoy all dogs she meets so would be best to be the only dog or an applicant willing to have multiple meet and greets with their resident dog to make sure its a love match. Her foster shares that she's the most perfect companion: loyal, sweet, and chill. She's turned into quite the low-key house dog. She loves walks and adventures, but when she's home she's content to nap and isn't needy for play. We'd say that she's a medium energy dog. She really isn't interested in the dog toys we've given her and, actually, her favorite "toy" is her dog blanket. She's the queen of cozy! Despite being pretty low key, Odali LOVES a good dance party! So if you're prone to spontaneously busting a move in your living room or bursting into song like you're a star in a musical, Odali will happily be your backup dancer! And who knows? She might even takeover the whole stage and perform for you! Odali is also the best companion for the kiddos! While she lived with a 5-year-old and a 7-year-old, she gave them space and had endless patience with them. The little ones LOVED her, and they want all potential adopters to know that she "has the softest ears" and "is just a good dog!" She does well when left alone, isn't destructive, is fine being handled, and is food motivated which makes training so far very successful. She is quite strong and loves squirrels, so we've been working on counter conditioning her association with them, along with leash manners and she's made huge progress. She's affectionate but you won't have to fend off constant love attacks, which is great considering her size. Odali is a sweet and lovely girl that would be an awesome addition to your family! All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be. To adopt or learn more about Odali, you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, copy and paste this URL into your browser: WWW.GDRNE.COM/ADOPTION-APPLICATION [Adoption Fee: $495] ** PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works. Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.

Story
Cassava—“Sava” to those who love her—is the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart and then never lets it go. This lovely 3-year-old Border Collie/Basset mix, weighing 34 pounds, is the perfect blend of charm, intelligence, and easygoing companionship.   Sava’s story is one of love and doing the right thing. She was adopted from a local humane society by a young man who adored her, but as life settled in, his long workdays—often 10 to 12 hours at a time—left Sava spending too much time alone. Wanting more for her than he could provide, he searched for help and never gave up until Critter Cavalry Rescue stepped in to change the course of her life. Now Sava is ready for her true forever home—and what a gem she is.   She has a beautifully balanced personality: playful when it’s time for fun, but just as happy to relax and cuddle when the day winds down. She enjoys being active and would love regular exercise, but she’s not high-strung or overwhelming. While she’d certainly enjoy having a yard to run in, she’s proven she can adapt to apartment living as long as her physical and mental needs are met. Sava is housebroken and crate trained, and she settles well when crated during longer absences. She’s still polishing her leash skills, but with a little consistency, she’ll be a wonderful walking companion. Like many clever dogs, she has a playful streak—especially when it comes to paper products—so a dog-savvy home setup is always a plus.   When it comes to companionship, Sava checks every box. She’s gentle and loving with children, social and playful with other dogs, and even respectful of cats. Her temperament makes her an easy addition to many types of households.   Sava isn’t just a beautiful dog—she’s the kind of loyal, loving companion who will be by your side through it all, whether you’re out exploring or simply enjoying a quiet evening at home.    If you’ve been searching for a dog who brings together personality, adaptability, and heart, Sava is ready to meet you.   To learn more or request an application, please email: ccrnewengland@gmail.com       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 21, 2026, 2:06 pm

Story
Router was born in August 2025. We welcomed him into our home at just 8 weeks old in October 2025. Since then he’s been the most amazing dog on the planet. Genuinely the ideal dog as far as trainability and temperament goes. Easily house trained and crate trained. Knocked basic obedience out of the park and is at about a 70% solution with recall. He’s filled with energy and gets worn out everyday from consistent play time sessions. Here comes the big BUT. Due to his energetic nature he requires a lot of time, attention, and patience. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances my partner and I are relocating and will not be spending much time home. Meaning this sweet guy will not be given the time and attention he deserves. Our ideal candidate is someone who can devote the time necessary to make sure he has a fulfilling and happy life.
