Story
THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN A FOSTER HOME WITHIN A REASONABLE DISTANCE OF OUR KENNEL IN WOBURN, MA. ONCE A POTENTIAL ADOPTER IS MATCHED WITH A DOG AND GOES THROUGH OUR REFERENCE AND INTERVIEW PROCESS WITH AN ADOPTION COORDINATOR THIS DOG WOULD BE AVAILABLE FOR YOU TO MEET BEFORE ADOPTION. IT IS OUR GOAL TO GET ALL LOCAL DOGS TO THEIR FOREVER FAMILIES WITHIN 7 DAYS ONCE MATCHED. **Please read Odali's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!** Meet Odali - a 4 year old, Border Collie/husky mix, who weighs about 62 pounds (as of 12/20/25). This gal was previously a stray in Mexico before snooping her way to the local rescue and getting adopted here in New England. While she has gotten along with her foster’s puppy and family member’s dogs after proper introductions, we have found that Odali does not enjoy all dogs she meets so would be best to be the only dog or an applicant willing to have multiple meet and greets with their resident dog to make sure its a love match. Her foster shares that she's the most perfect companion: loyal, sweet, and chill. She's turned into quite the low-key house dog. She loves walks and adventures, but when she's home she's content to nap and isn't needy for play. We'd say that she's a medium energy dog. She really isn't interested in the dog toys we've given her and, actually, her favorite "toy" is her dog blanket. She's the queen of cozy! Despite being pretty low key, Odali LOVES a good dance party! So if you're prone to spontaneously busting a move in your living room or bursting into song like you're a star in a musical, Odali will happily be your backup dancer! And who knows? She might even takeover the whole stage and perform for you! Odali is also the best companion for the kiddos! While she lived with a 5-year-old and a 7-year-old, she gave them space and had endless patience with them. The little ones LOVED her, and they want all potential adopters to know that she "has the softest ears" and "is just a good dog!" She does well when left alone, isn't destructive, is fine being handled, and is food motivated which makes training so far very successful. She is quite strong and loves squirrels, so we've been working on counter conditioning her association with them, along with leash manners and she's made huge progress. She's affectionate but you won't have to fend off constant love attacks, which is great considering her size. Odali is a sweet and lovely girl that would be an awesome addition to your family! All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be. To adopt or learn more about Odali, you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, copy and paste this URL into your browser: WWW.GDRNE.COM/ADOPTION-APPLICATION [Adoption Fee: $495] ** PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works. Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.

Story
If you’re looking for brilliance wrapped in freckles and puppy kisses, meet Zane. Born around January 3rd, this spunky little Border Collie mix is already proving he’s at the top of his class. Zane doesn’t just learn — he excels. While most puppies are still figuring things out, this bright boy is already heading to the back door to politely alert his foster mom when he needs to go potty. House training graduation? Just a week or two away. We have no doubt he’ll earn that diploma with honors. Zane is one-third of what we lovingly call the Three Amigos — along with his brothers Bleu and Snoopy. Together, they are a whirlwind of freckled faces, tumbling paws, and pure joy. Wrestling? Mastered. Running and jumping? Conquered. Backyard zoomies? Olympic level. But when the play session winds down and the excitement fades, Zane reveals his softer side. He seeks out his foster mom, curls up beside her, and sleeps peacefully for hours. For all his energy and intelligence, he is deeply affectionate and thrives on connection. He currently sleeps in a kennel with his brothers and is doing beautifully with structure and routine. Zane is the kind of puppy who will flourish with an active, engaged family that understands the needs of a smart working-breed mix. He will need consistency, continued training, and ideally a safe, secure fenced yard where he can stretch those athletic legs and put that sharp mind to good use. The “School of Love” may be his favorite class of all. Snuggles? Perfect attendance. Kisses and hugs? Straight A’s. Cozy naps next to his warm human? Advanced placement. Zane bonds deeply and will give his whole heart to his person. At an estimated 45 pounds full grown, he will be the perfect size for adventures by day and couch time by night. Zane isn’t just a cute puppy. He’s a smart, devoted future companion who will grow into an incredible dog for the right family. If you are ready for commitment, activity, laughter, and a loyal best friend, Zane is ready for you. Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you’re interested. Be sure to include your city and state, as we transport from Tennessee and adopt both locally and to the northeastern region.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 11, 2026, 12:09 am

Story
This handsome 4.5 month old puppster is called Boy George and he is what you would call….a character.  A Border Collie mix puppy who is smart and mischievous and a leader in life.  He was born in a litter of 8 puppies around the middle of October and he was the biggest kid in the bunch. He is laidback yet very much an involved pup when it comes to creating dog events that are fun and inquisitive.  He is one that doesn’t back down because he knows that he can win the challenge with his tenacity.  Boy George has conquered all the obligations in his life to learn about housebreaking, crate time and how to walk on a leash with at least a B- rating.  Practice will make perfect when in a family that has more one on one time for him.  He is going to be a 55 pound boy once he is grown.  His Mom is Blue Eyed Kaye and she is a wonderful girl with a happy demeanor and has certainly passed it along to all her sweet offspring.  Boy George is a good pup but he is looking for an even smarter owner that will figure him out before he slips one in on you. He is loving and can be an attention grabber because when you are raised in a pack of 8 siblings, you kind of crave some private time for yourself.  Boy George will be a fun pup to raise and one that will excel at puppy training classes.  At 18 weeks of age and 32 pounds, he is a great size to take on car rides, walks on a trail or  your local neighborhood.  He will welcome new dogs and people to meet and did we mention that he LOVES CATS!   To our Boy George they are just another friend in life!   We will require a home with a securely fenced yard so that this boy can explore and hang out in the great outdoors/backyard.  He is not a digger and he is not a fence climber.  But he is a dog that requires the stimulation both physically and mentally every day.  Teach him things and he will make you a proud dog owner. Someone is looking for a dog like this.  Maybe an only dog in the home or just a great addition because he will be play buddies with anyone.  But always know that you must be the leader of your pack and Boy George.  He craves the boundaries and rules.  He thrives best not having his way and is so moldable.  If interested please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   Mention where you live, city and state.  Transport is available to the northeast outside of Tennessee where he is being fostered PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 11, 2026, 12:09 am

Story
Every litter seems to have that one puppy who steals the spotlight. The one who walks into the room like he already knows he’s special. In this trio of brothers, that boy is Snoopy Dog. In fact, the foster dad caring for these puppies doesn’t even try to hide it—he says Snoopy Dog is his favorite. And once you meet him, it’s easy to see why. Snoopy Dog is a strikingly handsome puppy with the cutest nose freckles you’ve ever seen and a perfect black-spotted mask over both eyes. His body is almost entirely snowy white with just a few round spots scattered here and there, giving him a unique look that turns heads wherever he goes. And while we were told the puppies’ mom was a Border Collie, Snoopy’s soft Lab-like ears have decided they are staying exactly where they are—flopped down and adorable, never standing up like a traditional Border Collie’s. Looks aside, this boy has the personality to match. Snoopy Dog is the brains of the brother trio. His foster family quickly noticed that he is the sharpest thinker of the bunch, always the first to figure things out and the first to try something new. He’s curious, funny, confident, and clearly aware that he’s both smart and handsome.   Snoopy Dog came into the care of Critter Cavalry Rescue along with his two brothers after a Facebook post surfaced about a rural Tennessee family that was simply “giving away” the puppies. Situations like that can be risky, and we knew these boys deserved a safer path to their future. CCR stepped in to make sure they would be raised in loving foster homes where they could receive proper veterinary care, guidance, and lots of attention. Since arriving in rescue, Snoopy Dog has received everything he needs to start life off right—neutering, worming treatments, his puppy vaccinations including parvo and distemper, rabies vaccine, microchip, and a clean bill of health. He’s also been busy learning how to be a wonderful house dog. Snoopy Dog already uses the doggie door and is fully housebroken, which is impressive for such a young puppy. At just about 10 weeks old, he already weighs around 15 pounds, and we expect he will grow into a handsome 50-pound adult. This boy is playful, energetic, and ready to explore the world. He enjoys playing with his brothers, meeting people, and discovering new things. He is currently living with a cat and has shown wonderful manners, learning to respect the cat’s space and understanding that sometimes the cat simply isn’t interested in puppy games.   Soon it will be time for Snoopy Dog to leave the nest. Around March 27th he will be ready to say goodbye to his brothers and begin a brand-new chapter with a loving, active family. A fenced yard would be ideal for this curious and playful boy, along with a family ready to continue teaching him routines, manners, and all the adventures that come with being part of a family. Snoopy Dog is smart, charming, and full of personality. He’s ready to bring laughter, fun, and plenty of love into the home lucky enough to adopt him.   If you’re interested in welcoming Snoopy Dog into your family, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. He could be riding the transport van the last weekend of March and heading straight toward his forever home—maybe with you.
