*Name: Nelly *Age: About 3 years old  *Current Weight: 33lbs*Rescued from: Puerto Rico*Adoption fee: $550 (includes $50 refundable positive training commitment deposit, and $50 spay/neuter deposit)*Health: Up to date on vaccines Meet Nelly! Nelly is a petite 3-year-old border collie mix (complete guess due to her looks and size) with a heart full of love and a spirit of resilience. She was found all alone with her 4-month-old puppy, bravely surviving on the streets for weeks until she was rescued. What a hero mama dog! Despite her rough start, Nelly is an incredibly affectionate and loyal companion who will follow you everywhere, always eager to be by your side. She is fully housetrained and can hold herself for more than 8 hours, making her a great fit for a structured home. Nelly enjoys the company of other dogs, and would do best in a home with another friendly dog or two for company and play. She currently lives peacefully with three other dogs and even sleeps in the room with them. Nelly adores people and thrives on love and attention. She would do best in a home where her family has time to spend with her and includes her in their daily activities. She is not just a pet; she’s a devoted best friend who wants to be part of every adventure. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate, and loyal pup who will shower you with unconditional love, Nelly is your girl! Could you be the loving home she’s been waiting for? Nelly is being fostered north of Boston and is available for meet & greets with approved adopters.  All of our dogs come with a 7-week group Beginner course at Bark n' Roll in North Reading included with adoption. If you are not local to North Reading you may opt for an included virtual private session with a certified positive trainer with Bark n' Roll. To apply to adopt, fill out an application at www.rescueallthedogs.org/adopt. Please note that RnR is a volunteer-based organization. While volunteers review applications as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the following information about our adoption process:LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents. We rarely know a dog's exact age or full breed mix of dogs, as our information is usually limited.RNR’s ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting one of our adoptable pups is to fill out an application at www.rescueallthedogs.org/adopt. Once we receive your application, one of our volunteers will contact you, review our adoption process, and answer any additional questions you may have. It is important to note that we do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions but on the best fit for a family and, most importantly, the dog.MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until your adoption application is submitted and reviewed.APPLYING ONLINE: When completing an application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device); make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible and that you receive a confirmation email. ##2334079##

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: Unknown, likely yesGood with kids: Yes, dog-savvy childrenCrate trained: YesHouse Trained: YesRuby is a playful and affectionate pup with a curious spirit and a heart full of love! This sweet girl loves to explore her surroundings, always keeping a watchful eye on her people as she goes. She’s got a fun habit of collecting her favorite toys from around the house and bringing them to the couch—usually placing at least one right in your lap as a gift. After a play session, a stroll around the neighborhood, or some window-watching duty, she’s ready to curl up beside you for a well-earned nap, ideally with her head resting on your leg. While Ruby hasn’t met any cats yet, she’d likely do well with a confident feline who can help her learn the rules of the house—though a skittish cat might not appreciate her playful chase instincts. Because she loves meeting all humans, big and small, in the same manner, she would do best with dog-savvy children.Ruby is crate trained and settles quickly after a short moment of quiet. She does well crated for a few hours during the day and overnight. She’s fully house trained and currently working on improving her leash manners. She's eager to learn and food motivated, which will make her training a breeze with a little consistency and patience. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, loyal companion who’s always up for an adventure followed by snuggles, Ruby Piña could be the perfect match for your family! Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. If you cannot find a particular dog on our website, he/she may be on a temporary foster hold. All dogs are otherwise posted until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application.May 14, 2025, 11:38 am

Story
This beautiful girl is called Kenzie and she is a Border Collie mix  from what we can tell due to her size, temperament and the very silky soft fur that adorns her.  This girl is about 6 months old and weighs 32 pounds and is such a spunky and active girl that is happy, charming, and ready for any adventure that you want to ask her to join you in.  Her story is not uncommon in the south, but it definitely was one of  neglect.   Our girl Kenzie is a survivor and a brilliant puppy. Her persona is one of vibrance in life and resilience, topped with confidence.  She adores other dogs, young children and never meets an adult stranger.  She has beautiful eyes that are the color of blue in one and brown in the other.  Her charming personality is bold, happy and full of smiles and energy.  She embraces life with the full expectancy that she will give good love to others and good love will come back to her.And that is what we have promised her at Critter Cavalry Rescue. We will not settle for anything but the best. Our hope is that she will have a home filled with laughter and activities thar also include a home with a fenced yard, and long walks or jogs, along with excursions in the car that the best of great outdoor events. She brings great karma to all who meet her.   If you are interested in this housebroken, crate trained and undeniable beauty, then please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. She is located in Nashville, TN and able to transport on a weekend to the northeast to a new family. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 1, 2025, 12:43 am

Story
Nelly is a purebred Border Collie who is 5 years old, 45 pounds, and has lived her entire life outside.....until now.  We were told by a neighbor that over the years,  she has had multiple litters of pups and was pretty much neglected. Her owner ended up being incarcerated and we were able to get her original owner to surrender her to the rescue. This vibrant girl is now housebroken and wonderful with children. Other dogs and even good with cats.   We have spayed her so that she will never have to deal with giving birth to puppies outdoors ever again. When considering Nelly, we highly encourage you to do your research on Border Collies! They are NOT apartment dogs because they need a job! She is super intelligent but she needs room to run and in her case we insist on a FENCED YARD. Nelly is full of love and energy and is absolutely wonderful with young children, so much so, that you can probably train her to be their 'Nanny'!  Nelly promises a family or couple,  many years of fun and entertainment!   If you qualify with the fenced yard, the ability to give her the mental and physical stimulation every day, and of course, the devoted love, please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.   She is in Tennessee, but we do transport to the northeast with our van filled with adopted dogs and cats every weekend Currently in Tennessee, Nelly can hitch a ride to the Northeast in our cozy adoption van — traveling alongside a crew of fellow rescues heading to their forever homes.  Ready to make her part of your pack?Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.co   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 27, 2025, 7:54 pm
