Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: Unknown, likely yesGood with kids: Yes, dog savvy childrenCrate trained: YesHouse Trained: Yes Audie Murphy is a sweet, gentle, and submissive little guy. He craves positive attention and affection. He has a medium energy level with bursts of higher energy. His ideal home would be a patient one to allow him to learn to trust humans at his own pace.Audie enjoys being in a home with other happy dogs but slow intros with new dogs help him gain confidence. He loves stuffed squeaky toys, deer antlers and chews, and especially regular meals and a clean crate to call his safe space. Audie would be good with older, dog savvy kids since he can be shy at first and prefers a calmer environment. He has seen outdoor cats and showed no interest, so would likely coexist with a feline sibling.Audie is both crate and house trained and is used to being in his crate when home alone. He walks well on a leash in familiar surroundings, but might hang back in new places.Audie has come a long way since leaving shelter life behind him. He would love a new family to make him feel safe and he will give so much love in return! Could your family be the perfect match? Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. Hunter--SUCH A HAPPY FACE!!'s Story Hunter is an athletic, curious, and smart dog. He is independent and would do best in a home without other pets. Hunter is an adult dog, but he has had a rough start to life. He was very sick and barely alive when he was found by animal control, but he pulled through! Now he is ready to find a home where he can get lots of love and affection. Hunter is a strong and tough dog who has proven to be a survivor. He is stubborn and independent, but also very loving. He is looking for a home where he can be the only dog and receive lots of attention from his humans. If you think you could give Hunter the loving home he deserves, please contact the rescue organization to find out more about adopting him. Story
Meet Miloh! His favorite things are walks with dog friends, treats, curling up on comfy bedding, and pets once he warms up. Miloh is ahappy, bouncy, and super wiggly pup, looking for a family to bring endlessjoy! Miloh enjoys a good walk like any dog, but definitely likes to settlein at the end of the day. Miloh has enjoyed spending time around othermellow dogs at the shelter, so we think they may do well with a caninesibling that is comfortable with a more calm friend. Miloh has been through a few transitions recently, and may need a gentlestart, but once they feel secure, theyll reward you with endless loveand loyalty!

Story
Meet Jesse, a happy-go-lucky Border Collie mix puppy who is always ready for his next adventure! With his bright smile, playful personality, and endless enthusiasm for life, Jesse brings joy wherever he goes. This handsome boy was found abandoned along a road in Mississippi and thankfully rescued by a kind-hearted Good Samaritan. Now safe in foster care, Jesse is thriving.Like many Border Collie mixes, Jesse is smart, energetic, and happiest when he has something to do. He loves to run, play, explore, and interact with everyone around him. Jesse gets along wonderfully with the other dogs in his foster home and would happily spend all day playing with canine friends. He occasionally shows off his herding instincts by trying to round up his dog buddies with a playful nip at their heels.Jesse is friendly with people of all ages, though his puppy enthusiasm may be a bit much for very young children. He would likely do best in a home with kids ages 5 and up who can enjoy his playful spirit. This clever pup is doing great with both house training and crate training. He rides well in the car, whether relaxing in the back seat or traveling in a crate, and is currently working on improving his leash manners.Jesse is looking for an active family that understands the needs of a young working-breed mix. A home with another playful dog, a family that enjoys hiking and outdoor adventures, or active children to play with would be ideal. With the right combination of exercise, training, and enrichment, Jesse will grow into a loyal, fun-loving companion who is always ready to make you smile.Name: JesseBreed: Border Collie   (Breed Mix is not guarantee - no DNA testing has been done)Sex: MaleAge: 25 weeksWeight: 29.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Puppy vaccines will be up to date. All vaccinations required after adoption are the adopter's responsibility.Heartworm: Too young (testing is done at 6 months of age)Housetrained:  YesMicrochipped: YesLocation of dog currently:   MississippiPuppy Adoption Fee:  $600.00 (includes transport fee when applicable)                                      $100-150 additional mandatory quarantine fee applies to Massachusetts residents.ATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS:  You must attend training/behavior classes with your new dog unless you are an experienced dog owner and your adoption coordinator is comfortable with your experience.  This requirement is for your benefit and your puppy's, so if you experience behavioral issues, you have a point of contact.  PLEASE—Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so crucial in this puppy's life. Do you have the time?IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. Story
Hello. Our names are Nadia (F), Kinsey (F), Nathan (M), and Skeeter (F). Our rescuer was told our mom was a Belgian Malinois and dad was a Border Collie. We were born on July 8, 2023. We were turned over to the rescue lady when we were babies. There were eight of us. Not long after arriving, we started to get sick. We four were and are the healthiest. When we were out playing in the yard, she often asked us where the babies went, who was sweet and shy. Who switched them out of your energizer bunnies, then laughed as we ran around like crazy kids? We are brilliant, treat motivated (easy to train), sulk when scolded, crate trained, shy at first but warm up quickly, not house or leash trained (quick learners), like cats, submissive to other dogs, and have never been around children. Our foster mom has commented how wonderful we would be on an agility course.  I want to go hiking, go to the beach, run around on snow deeper than I am tall, curl up with you in front of the fireplace, and watch a movie. I have only heard my foster mom talking about most of this stuff. If you have patience and teach me, I will love doing whatever you do. Please request an application to begin the adoption process at alittlelonger2home@gmail.com. Skeeter Female Spayed Breed Border Collie/ Belgian Malinois mix Color Tri-color Age 15 months old (Born 07/08/2023) Weight 44lbs Great with people,  dogs/ puppies, cats/kittens, children UNKNOWN Adoption donation of $395
