Story
Once was a momma — now a friend looking for a family of her own. Meet Rosie – a sweet, soulful girl ready for her fresh start! This beautiful 3-year-old, 40 lb shepherd mix was left behind as a stray in rural Texas, found caring for a litter of puppies (you may remember the adorable Lion King litter—Rosie is their amazing mama!). She’s been through a lot, including heartworm treatment, and now she’s healthy, happy, and ready to head north in search of her forever home. Rosie is a gentle and loving companion who just needs a little time to feel safe—once she does, her personality blossoms. After about a week in her foster home, she transformed into a snuggly, playful sweetheart. She loves to run, play with toys, and has a funny habit of collecting shoes (don’t worry—she doesn’t chew them, she just builds a little pile of treasures!). She’s also got a calm, chill side—perfect for someone who works from home. She enjoys snoozing next to the resident dog and is great on leash, happy to go for walks and sniff everything along the way. Rosie is still building confidence in new situations and around new people. This gal can be timid & would thrive as a second dog in a home with another calm, confident pup, or with someone who has experience with shy dogs. She eats her meals in her crate, is housetrained, and is eager to keep learning. spayed, vaccinated & microchipped————————Rosie will be available for pickup in June - and needs a foster or adopter!! If you’re patient, loving, and ready to watch a gentle soul blossom, Rosie will absolutely steal your heart. *Please note: We're an all-volunteer organization, and incomplete applications cannot be processed.* If you're interested in adopting a GBP rescue PAL, please submit an application through the link below. Story
URGENT need for adopter!! This is Leo , he’s a 3yr old cattle ( March 12th bday ). He loves playing with balls, tug of war, and enjoying treats, especially meat. Outdoors, he enjoys trips to the park and beach, though he's still learning to swim. Leo can be cautious around certain dogs, children, teens, and strangers, but with time and patience, he opens up. He needs training, love, and an active lifestyle. Leo thrives in a home where he receives attention, structure, and affection. If you're ready to invest time in him, Leo will bring joy and loyalty into your life. My family could be facing legal issues regarding the health of our youngest if we continue to keep him. We all love him very much and wish he could stay but this is our best options vs a shelter.

Story
Meet Ryder! This playful, adventure-loving dog thrives in spaces where he can run and swim! He is house-trained, eager to learn, and already knows some commands. While Ryder has had dog friends in the past, he can be selective, so he would prefer to be the only dog at home. He might enjoy meeting dog friends after he is settled in to his new home. Adopters can help him do so using careful introductions and giving him the option to take breaks when needed. Ryder says no thank you to cats, please! Ryder is looking for an adopter who understands his signals, can advocate for his needs, and will help him navigate his environment in a way that sets him up for success. Hell do best with someone who avoids stressful situations for him: places like dog parks or doggy daycare are not his scene. Continuing his training with positive reinforcement and being attentive to his body language will be key to helping Ryder thrive. He could do well with children who feel comfortable actively participating in his training and respecting his boundaries. If you`re looking for a fun, trainable companion who`s ready for adventure, Ryder might be the perfect match for you! If If you`d like to learn more, stop by MSPCA at Nevins Farm. We have open adoption hours 12pm-4:30pm, Tuesday through Sunday, no appointment or application needed. Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they`re interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.
