Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Spooky!  This sweet girl is ready to head to NJ, she just needs an adopter or foster to make the trip.  She tested positive for HW just recently after previously being negative so she will require two trips to Barnegat Animal Clinic or she can't come up until May.   Meet Spooky  — a one-of-a-kind sweetheart with a story that will steal your heart. This beautiful two-year-old Border Collie–Terrier mix was found wandering the streets before finding her way into rescue, and now she’s safe and thriving in her foster home.   Spooky is house-trained and loves her kennel — it’s her cozy safe place. She’s gentle in everything she does, from her soft eyes to her slow, sweet tail wags. She loves other dogs and feels most comfortable when she has canine friends around. She does well with cats too and absolutely loves to run and play in the yard!    If you’re looking for a loving companion with a gentle spirit and a heart full of gratitude, Spooky might just be your perfect match.  Spooky is fixed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.  Her   adoption fee will be $450. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please go to  wag-on-inn.com . To apply, click  HERE  or on our website, go to Adoptable Pets and Adoption Application. A Wag On Inn volunteer will be in touch soon! Story
Meet this goofy girl Gordy! She is about 6 to 8 months old and is about 25 to 45 lbs. She is a mix of what we believe is a border collie/bull terrier mix. She was dropped in the middle of a field and left there to starve to death. She was so scared of people and did not trust us at first. She was never wanting to bite, but was for sure scared of people. We got her more comfy with being around everyone, but will need a slow introduction. She is good with other dogs and kids, but with chase a cat when it runs, not to get it, but just to play. She is working on those manners. She is a great girl and deserves all the love she can get.

🚨✨ URGENT: SMART, SWEET KODA NEEDS OUT NOW ✨🚨 Koda is the kind of dog everyone says they want… smart, loving, and ready to be your best friend. But right now, she’s just another face in a shelter… and she is running out of time. 💔 This beautiful girl came in as a stray, and despite everything, she has held onto her incredible spirit. 🧠 Knows commands: sit, stay, lay down, spin 🐶 Dog friendly 🎾 Loves treats and learning 💖 Eager to please & listens so well Koda isn’t just smart—she’s the kind of dog who wants to connect with her person. She watches you, listens to you, and tries her best every single time. That kind of heart? That kind of loyalty? You can’t teach that. She already has the foundation… she just needs someone to believe in her. But shelters don’t give dogs like Koda time. Even the best dogs don’t make it out without a hero. ⏳ Her time is limited. Please don’t let this amazing girl lose her life when she has so much to give. PLEASE TEXT KAREN 4136298152

Story
Hi, I’m Crumbles ??I’m a 3-month-old Border Collie puppy who had a pretty wild start to life. I was found all alone out in the Georgia wilderness (yep, by myself), until a kind human scooped me up and got me safe. After that, I made my way all the way to NYC — which has been… a lot for a little guy like me.I want to be friends. Truly. I’m sweet, curious, and very smart — but the world is still a little scary to me. I need patience, calm guidance, and lots of positive exposure at a pace I can handle. When I feel overwhelmed, my big feelings come out before my confidence does.Being a Border Collie means my brain is always ON. I’m already showing strong instincts and opinions, and during a puppy playdate I had a hard time sharing toys and got a bit growly. I’m not trying to be mean — I just need structure, training, and someone who understands how to guide a smart, sensitive puppy like me.Because of that, I cannot be a first-dog. I need an experienced, confident owner who knows working breeds and is ready to invest time, training, and consistency. I also won’t be adopted to a home with children under 12, since I’m still learning how to navigate big emotions safely.I have so much potential. With the right person, I’m going to grow into an incredible dog — loyal, brilliant, and deeply bonded to my human. I just need someone who sees past the puppy nerves and knows how to help me succeed. If you’re experienced, patient, and ready to guide a little mind that’s learning fast… I might just be your Crumbles ???Crumbles is neutered, dewormed, microchipped and is up to date with vaccines. His adoption fee is $650.00, plus $8.50 for the dog license if you are a resident of NYC. Crumbles will also get one free exam with one of our participating veterinarians within 30 days of his adoption. If you`d like to meet him please visit, we`re conveniently located in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn near the F train (Ft Hamilton Pkwy) and the B16 bus. We`re open daily for adoptions from 11am to 5:30pm.Crumbles can`t wait to meet you!Sean Casey Animal Rescue153 E. 3 St.between Ft Hamilton Pkwy & Caton AveBrooklyn, NY 11218adoptions@nyanimalrescue.orgNYS Department of Agriculture and Markets Registration No. RR160
