Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Val is a smart pup who is looking for a new home. She is currently with one of our sister rescues in Louisiana and can come to NJ with a foster or adopter. Meet Val — our adorable little Border Collie (or maybe Aussie?) mix who wandered into our hearts just before Valentine’s Day! This fluffy-eared beauty was found as a stray, but she hasn’t let that slow her down one bit. Val is extra smart—she’s already learning her basic commands like a champ!    At just a few months old, she’s still working on her kennel and house training, but she’s off to a great start with lots of love and patience from her foster family. With her big paws, we think this girl will grow into a gorgeous 50-pound bundle of energy and devotion.   Val would thrive with someone who’s experienced with active, intelligent breeds—or who has a confident, well-trained dog to show her the ropes. She’s eager to learn, eager to love, and ready to fill your days with joy, zoomies, and fluffy cuddles.    Check out her video to see just how quickly this clever pup picks up new things—she’s truly something special! If Val sounds like your perfect match, let’s make it official and give this sweet girl the forever home she deserves.  Val is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Her   adoption fee is $550.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please go to wag-on-inn.com. To apply, click HERE or on our website, go to Adoptable Pets and Adoption Application. A Wag On Inn volunteer will be in touch soon!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 24, 2026, 5:34 pm

Story
Meet this goofy girl Gordy! She is about 6 to 8 months old and is about 25 to 45 lbs. She is a mix of what we believe is a border collie/bull terrier mix. She was dropped in the middle of a field and left there to starve to death. She was so scared of people and did not trust us at first. She was never wanting to bite, but was for sure scared of people. We got her more comfy with being around everyone, but will need a slow introduction. She is good with other dogs and kids, but with chase a cat when it runs, not to get it, but just to play. She is working on those manners. She is a great girl and deserves all the love she can get.

Story
Hello! Diego is an absolutely wonderful dog. He's sweet, kind, smart, playful, and energetic. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide him the home he needs. He needs someone who is active and will challenge his mind! He LOVES going on walks and is incredibly intelligent. He loves to cuddle and play! He would do best in a home where he is the center of attention, or maybe another dog friend ( he has not lived with another dog but he's never had issues with others dogs!)

Story
Meet Ace! This handsome boy is looking for a fitting forever home to match his energetic, enthusiastic, and boisterous personality. Ace is originally from a family farm in South Jersey, born in May 2024 of a Chesapeake Bay Retriever mother and Border Collie father. As the family on the farm was not able to take on any more animals at the time of his puppyhood, he found his way to our current residence in NJ. Ace has some special medical notes- he has a bald spot on his back from running under an electric fence as a puppy, and has experienced 2 partial seizure-like episodes in the past. Because of this Ace needs a confident, loving, and experienced handler that uses positive reinforcement! He would be best being pampered as an only child, as he has a tough time getting along with other dogs or cats. Although he can be slow to warm to unfamiliar people at times, he is truly a sweet and fun spirited boy who would love nothing more than to be your best friend with time and patience 🐾
