Rusty came to us because a friend of ours has moved and could not take him with them. We already have our hands full with 3 dogs of our own. Rusty is a very sweet dog. He craves snuggles. He’s fun to play with and loves attention meaning being close to you and loyal. He loves to be at his masters side. He’s good with our dogs however we have only had him for 3 weeks now. He’s trying to find his place with the 3 dogs we have and he wants to be THE ONE. Haha! He wants to be the favorite. He loves to be outside. He used to be an outdoor dog and we potty trained him and crate trained him and he has done so well. He would lift his leg the first day and we would get after him he learned fast that we don’t do that. He never does it now. He may need reminded in a new environment as all dogs do. All of her pups have since been adopted but she is still patiently waiting on someone to call her their girl. She loves walks and just discovered how much she loves the sand volleyball court! This sweet girl came to DASH fearful and shy with little confidence. She has made great strides in the DASH Prison Training Program. Her handler says " Luna is better than a good pet, she's a good friend and a great roommate". She will do best with a family who responds in a calm, relaxed approach with a confident pack leader. She is highly intelligent, and for the most part not too energetic, but an active family is best for this girl. She is affectionate, loving & loyal. Her foster said she is the biggest snuggle bug & loves to be right next to her people although she is selective!! Luna is the perfect girl when given the time to settle in!! She's a great dog who just needs a chance with a family that has time for her. She will need time to decompress, with love & patience to show her she is safe & part of the family. Luna is not cat-friendly but is sociable with other dogs, however, she does not tolerate puppies. She has not been "kid tested" so proper meet & greets are always in order.
