Story
This puppy is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $250 if picked up in TN, $325 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Meet Goose, a one-year-old smooth-coated Border Collie with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Goose is friendly, playful, and full of busy, happy energy that keeps life interesting. Weighing 36 pounds, he is a wonderful size for an active companion who is always ready to join in on whatever you’re doing. He is the kind of dog who truly wants to be involved and thrives on interaction with his people. One of Goose’s most endearing quirks is his love of collecting toys. He happily gathers every toy he can find from around the room and the toy box, proudly hoarding them in his own special corner as if he’s curating a personal treasure pile. It’s just one of the many ways his bright and entertaining personality shines through. Goose is housetrained, does well in his crate, and walks nicely on a leash. He rides well in the car and enjoys getting out to explore the world. True to his breed, he has a strong herding instinct and loves activities that let him move, think, and engage his brain. Walks, playtime with other dogs, belly rubs, and chew time are all high on his list of favorite things. He is smart, treat-motivated, eager to please, and genuinely affectionate, making him a wonderful partner for training and bonding.  He gets along well with other dogs and is friendly with strangers. He can live with a cat as long as interactions are monitored to ensure play stays polite. Goose would be happiest in a home that understands and appreciates herding breeds and is committed to providing him with daily exercise, structure, and ongoing training. With the right outlet for his energy and intelligence, Goose will be an incredibly loyal, loving, and fun companion who is ready to give his whole heart to his future family. Meet this dog at Petco on Saturday, Feb 7th from 1-4 pm CST at Petco, 377 W. Jackson St #11 Cookeville, TN 38501.   Interested in adopting? Meet Denny, a beautiful 3-year-old Border Collie mix with a heart full of love and a sweet, calm spirit. About Denny Denny is a medium-sized girl with the classic, intelligent eyes of a Border Collie. Her shy nature means she might take a little time to warm up, but once she does, she'll be your most loyal and affectionate friend. Personality & Temperament Denny is the definition of a gentle companion. She's a sweet, quiet dog who prefers a calm environment. She is making great progress with her basic training and is already house-trained, making her transition into a new home that much smoother. Story
Sadie is currently at a rescue in Oklahoma. We are looking for a home in a state where people treat their animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport near one of the cities listed at the bottom. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Sadie is 2 1/2 years old (December 1) and is possibly a Border Collie/Lab mix. -Come into the local shelter in Summer 2023 as a small puppy. Transferred to our rescue on June 7th -Just went through heartworm treatment and tested negative as of December 9th! -Used to be shy and timid....now she is well socialized and loves to get all of your attention and she's not afraid to ask for it! -Energetic breed who would love a nice yard to run in and a family to love on. -35-40 pounds. -Gets along with other dogs. Would do best in a home with another dog to play with. Does like to be the "alpha" with some females (never aggressive). Gets along great with males -She can walk on a leash, but it does need some work. -If home has kids, must be 10+ -Video of Sadie from December 1: https://youtube.com/shorts/idXhtmRwhwg Sadie is spayed, vaccinated (Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella), dewormed, microchipped, on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. She had a negative heartworm test on December 9th. Health certificate and exam will be performed less than 10 days prior to transport. Adoption fee is $700 total, this is including all vetting above and transport cost. Story
Rockstar Ms. Riley Ray didn’t get her name by accident — she earned it with heart, resilience, and a spirit that refuses to fade. This stunning 8-year-old purebred Border Collie has lived a life that didn’t quite match the energy she was born with. Adopted as a puppy by a loving older couple, Riley grew up surrounded by affection but very little structure. Long days indoors, extra bites of fast food and table scraps, and almost no exercise slowly took a toll.  Now this girl after just 3 weeks with us she is down 12 pounds and a nice 69 pounds and still on the way down.  All she needs is to walk daily for a few miles and then play fetch the ball and stay on a strict diet with no caloric treats.  Riley lives for fetch. The moment a ball appears, her eyes light up and her whole body comes alive. It’s as if she’s saying, “This is who I really am.” She is affectionate, loyal, incredibly smart, and still has so much joy and drive left to give. Riley is searching for an active home that understands Border Collies and will help her continue her health journey. She doesn’t want to sit on the sidelines anymore — she wants to run, chase, play, and finally live the life her breed was built for. Her past may have slowed her down, but it never dimmed her spark. Now she’s ready for the next chapter, one filled with movement, purpose, and a human who will see the Rock star she truly is.  Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 1, 2026, 12:09 pm

Pare' was born on April 10, 2022. He is a fluffly attention hog, he'll look for a cuddle then he's off like a dart bouncing off walls. He is very active, loves his belly rubs and all the attention he can get. Pare' will do best in a home with another dog to help him acclimate. If you are interested in Pare', please include your phone number and we will call with more information on Pare' and our adoption process. November 2, 2024, 2:03 pm
