                                                                             KENNEL ID #18804Sidney and his sister Cookie were rescued from a high-kill shelter in Greene County, TN, where overcrowding forces heartbreaking decisions every day. Some were strays never reclaimed. Others were surrendered by their families — and sadly, owner surrenders are the first to be euthanized, as they receive no stray hold. Thankfully, our rescue partner in Tennessee stepped in just in time, saving 15 incredible dogs from the “last call” list. Each has now received full veterinary care and is preparing for a fresh start in PA. Despite their past, these dogs are full of hope and heart. Could this survivor be your new best friend? Life on the streets followed by a stay in a high-kill shelter taught him to be cautious, but despite everything he’s been through, Mason has never shown aggression. With patience, consistency, and love, Mason continues to make progress every day. He’ll need a calm, understanding home that allows him to build trust at his own pace. He’s still working on basic training and would benefit from gentle guidance and routine. Mason is an athletic boy and will jump or climb a fence if left unattended, so a secure yard and supervision are important. We got Louie back in September 2025 from an owner that stated he was spending too much time in a crate. He turned 4y/o on 1/3/2026. He is a funny dog that just wants to be loved. He would definitely benefit from a yard. We have one & he loves it. He does many commands. Sit, stay, down, paw, wait, get it, find it. He gives hugs. He sometimes doesn't know how big he is. He is about 48lbs & wants to crawl up on you. Does well walking on leash but has some leash reactivity to bikes & squirrels. He definitely wants to be with you at all times. He is crate trained & goes in there when no one is home. That command is "let's go" & he goes right in the crate. Since we have gotten him, he just does not get along with everyone in the household. We thought it would get better but has not.
