Story
KENNEL ID #01658&#226&#128&#139 Toby is obedient and learns commands very easily. He comes when called, knows basic commands and even knows a few tricks  He was initially adopted from Diane's as a young puppy, November 2023. His previous owners became concerned with his behavior towards their three children, ages 10-3. He growled and snapped at the children a few times. He was fine 99% of the time but it was extremely scary for their kids and not something the family wanted to work with. He has never displayed this behavior toward the wife or husband. We have not seen this behavior but have found him to be very leery of men. He is very head shy and will submissively urinate and tremble around them. He was clearly not properly socialized with a lot of people or other dogs. He is a timid boy but once you get to know him, he will be your best friend. Slow introductions are necessary with Toby, we continue to learn new traits about Toby every day. He would do best in a all female household with NO children. Thank you for your interest in rescue. Story
Friendly Finn is a lucky dog.  You know one of those who was in a really bad shelter that was run by lazy people who didn’t care if any of the dogs got out alive.  He is a handsome and very friendly Border Collie/Pointer mix that is truly a good looking dog who is about 3 years old, fully vetted, 35 pounds and was at the shelter for 2 years.  TRUTH!   How awful that this beautiful soul was there in that dirty place and in the tiny kennel run with another dog. He wasn’t fed much and he is lucky to have survived the torture of that specific shelter.   Friendly is a good word for Finn since he is good with other dogs and kids unknown.  He is surprisingly very good on a leash, but his nerves can get the best of him when riding in a car.  He might need a little medication till he gets used to riding.  Finn needs a big yard or maybe daily trips to a dog park.  We want him to live a life that is not limited as he has experienced these past 2+ years in the shelter.  If you are interested in Fostering or Adopting Finn please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 24, 2024, 9:59 pm

Story
Our handsome border collie mix boy puppy is called Gordy and he is a truly rescued pup that deserves a really great home with another dog or better yet…his sister named Prancy.  This boy is 8-9 months old and weighs 23.5 pounds and is a one of a kind Heeler.  He is very sweet and easy going and not hyper at all.  As most Heelers are expected to be very active and over the top energy, Gordy is not like that at all. We don’t know a thing about his former life as a young puppy but some lady took him and his sister from a livestock auction after they were abandoned at the event.  He is so good with other dogs, cats, young children too!  He is living with 3 children that are all under the age of 13 years.  He has great manners and is learning leash skills, and house manners.  Smart and very sensitive is what we say is very much his nature.  He is ready for that brand new home and the chance to be one of the best dog companions in your lifetime.   If you are interested please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  He is ready for a forever and ever fresh start to his life. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 24, 2024, 9:59 pm

Story
Our beautiful Border Collie/Blue Heeler girl is 9 months old and is called Prancy.  This little 21 pound girl is truly a rescued pup that deserves a really great home with another dog or better yet…her brother named Gordy.  At just 9 months of age, we think a projected adult weight might be around 25-28 pounds for her when fully grown. Prancy is such an old soul in this young, beautiful body.  Both she and her brother are on the more calm side of puppyhood and they both have matured into mannerly, thoughtful, loving and easy going souls.  Prancy is very sweet and easy going and not hyper at all. Smart and very sensitive is what we see in his nature and temperament.  A good natured and wonderful young pup. Story
I’m involved in rescue and was notified about a former breeder, who is rehoming her Border Collies due to family circumstances. I helped her rehome 2 last week and the dogs are doing very well. She is currently looking to rehome two of the eight dogs she has left. The dog she’s looking to rehome our five years old, house, trained, cat friendly, they had rabies shot approximately three years ago, Not up-to-date on vaccines. These are pure bread, Border Collies so very active and smart dogs, the owner would like the adopters to have a fenced in yard. They are used to being outside a lot. Not leash trained, but the two that were adopted last week they’re paw parents said that they are doing very well on the leash. I believe the owner does have some mental health issues and so therefore I’ll be facilitating this adoption & giving her support and trying to answer any questions that you may have. She is located in Walnutport PA. She does love her dogs tremendously, but the right decision
