KENNEL ID #18804Sidney and his sister Cookie were rescued from a high-kill shelter in Greene County, TN, where overcrowding forces heartbreaking decisions every day. Some were strays never reclaimed. Others were surrendered by their families — and sadly, owner surrenders are the first to be euthanized, as they receive no stray hold. Thankfully, our rescue partner in Tennessee stepped in just in time, saving 15 incredible dogs from the “last call” list. Each has now received full veterinary care and is preparing for a fresh start in PA. Despite their past, these dogs are full of hope and heart. Could this survivor be your new best friend? With patience, consistency, and love, Mason continues to make progress every day. He’ll need a calm, understanding home that allows him to build trust at his own pace. Meet Remus. Remus is a purebred border collie that was bred from both Merle parents. Unfortunately, he is blind and deaf. Remus is very friendly and full of puppy energy. He will do best in a home that has done research on dogs with these disabilities. He will need to stay on a leash or will probably do best with a fenced-in yard. He does well with the other dogs in his foster home. He is also fostered with cats and does well with them. Housebreaking is a work in progress but he is doing well with crate training. We were told his date of birth was around the middle of May 2026. He has a lot of growing to do yet, while he loves to be snuggled and held, he will probably grow to be about 50-60 lbs. Remus is now neutered and up to date with vaccines for his age as well as microchipped. He is on flea,tick and heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $300.00. We got Louie back in September 2025 from an owner that stated he was spending too much time in a crate. He turned 4y/o on 1/3/2026. He is a funny dog that just wants to be loved. He would definitely benefit from a yard. We have one & he loves it. He does many commands. Sit, stay, down, paw, wait, get it, find it. He gives hugs. He sometimes doesn't know how big he is. He is about 48lbs & wants to crawl up on you. Does well walking on leash but has some leash reactivity to bikes & squirrels. He definitely wants to be with you at all times. He is crate trained & goes in there when no one is home. That command is "let's go" & he goes right in the crate. Since we have gotten him, he just does not get along with everyone in the household. We thought it would get better but has not.
