Story
Nelson here! My new adoptive family will need to be ready to provide a lot of training which my friends at FOHA will help to coordinate at time of adoption. I can be unpredictable so I am looking for a family with no kids 15 and under. Look deep into my different colored eyes - then get me a ball! I LOVE to play fetch! The second I see a ball or hear you say the word, I'm ready to play. I know how to fetch and I'll bring the ball right back to you and drop it at your feet. I also love water and getting sprayed with a hose! I've been lucky to join doggy social here at FOHA and I have enjoyed playing with other dogs. I love going for walks as I get to know the volunteers and they get to know me. As much as I like new dogs I am not comfortable around a lot of new people. So I would not do well in a dog park or doggie daycare. I'll go ahead and say it, I'm extremely smart. I'm looking for an active family that will put my intelligence to good use. I would love to have a huge fenced in backyard to chase my ball until my heart is content. Apartments and condos will not be a good fit for me. If you would like to come meet me, submit an application and we can set up a time to get to know each other. See you soon!! I am looking for a home with no kids, no cats, house with a large backyard, and an experienced owner willing to work on training. Story
Meet Billie! Billie is about 2 years old and looks like a Cattle Dog/Border Collie/Terrier mix (breed is just a guess) who weighs about 40 pounds. Billie is such a sweet dog, and her foster mom tells us that everyone who comes to the house just falls in love with her. She is such a great mom to her 5 puppies and gets along great with the multiple dogs in the foster household. She is great with kids as well, having 6-year-old and 12-year-old human foster siblings. Her favorite thing to do is curl up on her blanket in the sunlight pouring in from outside and "sunbathe". She will also curl up on your lap any chance she can get for some belly rubs. Billie would do best in a home without cats, as her previous foster home had to relinquish her due to Billie's behavior with the cat in the home. She has great house manners, knows basic commands and is house trained. Billie is currently in a foster home where someone is at home a good portion of the day, for this reason, we feel Billie would do best in a home where she isn't alone for a workday. Billie is up to date on vaccines and is microchipped. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***The adoption fee for this dog is $375, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. *** ***If you're viewing this on Petfinder, please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.***

Story
Lucky is so handsome. He has the most adorable eye patch. He loves to romp and play and also enjoys snuggling on your lap. He is a fun loving boy and does super with other dogs. He is of average energy level and would do well as an only dog or part of a pack. He is also great with kids. Can't wait to find his forever home.Accuracy is not guaranteed; however, information provided is accurate to the best of our knowledge.  For more information on the pet, please send an email to info@aforeverhome.org June 7, 2023, 7:24 pm

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
We have 2 distinguished young ladies available for immediate adoption. Tillie is 7-8 months old, she is spayed and current on vaccines. Housebroken and good with dogs able to play with her. She has some herding instinct and will need an adopter willing to do some more continuous education as she is still young. She should mature approximately 40 lbs. Bea is around a year old and 30 lbs. she is from a hoarding situation and wasn’t handled at all so she needs a calm adopter willing to work and gain her confidence and provide a home environment that supports her feeling secure. Bea is cat safe. Both girls would do best with a fenced in yard and another dog to play with. They are in Warrenton VA and approved applications are able to meet anytime
