Story
Meet the lovely Margo, whose journey began when her mother fell victim to a car accident. Her rescuer provided tender care, bottle-feeding her until she reached independence in eating. However, during this period, Margo encountered Distemper and faced neglect in a hoarding situation with her previous foster family, before finding her way to our rescue. Despite a challenging start, Ms. Margo has exhibited remarkable resilience as a fighter. Building trust with new people may take time, understandable given her past, but once she does, she transforms into a playful, affectionate, and amusing best friend. Margo is characterized by her playful nature, intelligence, responsiveness to food/treats, and friendliness towards dogs. Fully house and crate-trained, she is ready for a family to call her own. Don't miss the chance to make Margo a part of your family! Please fill out an adoption application today through our online form: https://serendipityanimalrescue.org/pet-adoption-application/

Story
Philly is a playful and curious pup. Once he warms up he is ready to run with the big guys, literally! His foster home has 2 large dogs (almost 70 lbs each) and he has been getting along with them really well, in addition to young kids. He is very food motivated which has been great for housebreaking and he can now go through the night in his crate with no accidents. He loves chewing on sticks and even apples that have fallen from the tree in the backyard. He is a super playful pup that is sure to warm your heart and put a smile on your face! Accuracy is not guaranteed; however, information provided is accurate to the best of our knowledge.  For more information on the pet, please send an email to info@aforeverhome.org October 9, 2024, 2:36 pm

Story
Swipper is a super playful pup that LOVES to run and play with his doggie friends. He was kept in a crate the majority of his life and is under socialized, due to this he is nervous of new things, people, and average dog things like a leash. He will need someone who is willing to be patient with him and make him feel comfortable and understand that not all people or things are bad. He is a very sweet boy once he warms up. He will need a consistent schedule to help her with her housetraining as well. We are unsure of him and cats but as we say super slow introductions and patience is the best way to go. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines. Interested in adopting? Story
Ansel is a beautiful dog who is on the smaller side. He is housetrained, crate trained with medium energy. His former people described him as 'sweet, loyal, snuggly, and playful.' He has a pretty strong prey drives for wildlife (squirrels, deer, foxes etc.. They reported to us that his favorite things to do are to chew on hard toys, play with balls in a fenced yard, go for walks and snuggle on the couch. In his prior home, Ansel was very protective of the mom and very loyal to her. We are looking for a home for Ansel with someone with experience with dogs. He would do best in a home with one person or a couple without children and would do best without other animals. Even with his protective behavior, his prior family described him as 'a wonderful dog' but given the children in the home it was not the right fit. And Ansel will be a wonderful dog for the right person or couple willing to give him the training, structure and exercise he needs. If you are interested in Ansel, please let us know. Thank you for your interest in Ansel! Please visit www.hart90.org/petdetail.aspx?ID=17414 to get the most up-to-date and accurate information on this pet, to email the contact person listed for more information and how to meet Ansel, or to submit an online application. HART adopts to the local DC/VA/MD metro area only. Visit our website for more information about our adoption process.

Story
This boy was brought back because he was too much of a puppy who chewed because he was left alone and bored. So he is on the hunt for a family who will understand his needs and keep him busy!! He has a lot of energy and playing is his thing. He likes to play with other dogs, chew on toys and run run run. He does fine with kids, will have to learn about cats. He will need some work on housetraining and leashes. He is a bit stubborn when learning manners so will need a family who can work with that. A routine that occupies his time would also be a plus as that works with his breed mix. He is a sweet boy that has a wonderfully fun personality who just wants to live to the fullest. He needs a life full of adventures and activities and we know that family is out there for him. Dax is being fostered in TN but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.

Story
Website: woofwooffosters.org This animal is being fostered in the South but transport to a location near you is included in your adoption fee. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, (www.rescueridersllc.net), the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Nova is the last of her litter left and she does not understand why. :( She is a sweet, polite little girl who loves to play. Nova's momma was discovered pregnant along with 2 other pregnant dog moms on a community member’s property. We were able to help out one family at our and ended up with Rosie and her 5 babies! Mom looks to be a Aussie/Border Collie mix and we aren’t sure what dad might be. They have been spayed and Nova is ready for adoption! Please note this dog is a PUPPY and will require more patience and training than an adult dog. *Can be cat tested Check out our website at woofwooffosters.org

These pups are in Warrenton, Virginia too!

Story
Bonita! Who out there is looking for an active and fun life partner?! Bonny is 35 lbs 3-4 yrs old. She is fully vetted with all of her shots and 4DX being done a few weeks ago. She has had negative heartworm tests more than 6 months apart so she will stay negative. This girl will thrive in a home that can provide structure and activity for her. She absolutely loves to go new places and enjoyed an antique tractor show the other weekend. The loud noise and crowds didn’t phase her at all. She is fostering on a large farm now and has shown some desire to herd cattle but has been good with other dogs and humans. She is a very smart and naturally confident dog so needs an owner that will make sure she understands they are in charge. With her smaller size she could work for an apartment and she is housebroken and crate trained. We can definitely see her doing well in different sports as she is athletic. She will be running in a 5k this weekend and is available to meet anytime. Please share Bonita and help her find her furever! She is in Warrenton VA but transportation is available!
