Story
If you're looking for a loyal, active & loving companion who will be your constant sidekick, Thor might be your perfect match. He loves to cuddle up next to you on the couch for some quality time at the end of an active day. He's great with kids & does well with other dogs. He can live with cats, though he tends to be a bit too interested in them, so a dog savvy cat or a cat-free home may be best. Thor is fully crate trained & has excellent house manners. he thrives in a structured environment and would do best with a very active individual or family who can give him the exercise he needs. Because he has high energy and some anxiety, he'll do best with someone experienced or committed to continuing his routine. Thor is being rehomed due to a family deployment. This difficult decision comes from a place of wanting the very best life for him. One filled with activity, engagement & companionship.

Story
This handsome fellow and his siblings came in to rescue last winter after they were dumped on a back country road. Their mother was found deceased, so we took the puppies in to try to save them. They were very sick initially but are very healthy now. Big boy is a gentle boy but does love to run and play with other dogs. Big boy was the largest of the puppies, but his siblings have caught up to him. He has done amazing with his house and crate training. He is so deserving of a wonderful home to call his own. He is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions. Please email us for the link to the adoption application (His adoption fee is only to cover transport and health certificate to travel to another state.)

Story
Sydney is a beautiful, smart, gentle and sweet girl. She is very loving, playful, eager to please, and house-trained. She has a very short tail and when she sees someone she loves, her whole body wiggles in delight! She likes to snuggle up with you on the couch and adores belly rubs. She is intelligent and quickly learned the names of her various toys and often figures out what you want her to do before you even ask. She loves to be outside in the yard with her person and her canine buddy, and enjoys walks in the neighborhood, but it's the walks in the woods she really loves. She wants to be your friend and do everything you ask, but sometimes the world is a little too scary for her. She can be a little slow to warm up to new people and likes to have a "safe space" all her own. She is cautiously happy to meet most people, but she is generally a little more timid with men. She has had very limited exposure, but she seems to be fine with children. She was initially merely shy with the cat in her foster home. Recently, the cat was having a bad week and unfortunately lashed out at Sydney several times, so Sydney has become fearful of the cat; we are not sure if that means she will be fearful of all cats now. She is initially timid around most dogs, but would probably do well sharing a home with a confident, playful dog, and as shown in the videos, once she's comfortable with another dog, she loves to run and play! Sydney was rescued by HART after being surrendered to a shelter, we don't know where she lived before that. She has made steady progress coming out of her shell, but will need someone experienced with anxious dogs and who will be very patient and loving with her. -ESTIMATE WEIGHT FULL GROWN: lbs -ESTIMATED AGE: 1 yr -KNOWN WITH DOGS: good -KNOWN WITH CATS: -KNOWN WITH KIDS: good -KNOWN CUES: -KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: -KNOWN LIKES: people, dogs -KNOWN DISLIKES: ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Notes from the foster: Miss Montana is the kind of dog who makes herself at home in your heart within minutes. This Australian shepherd mix is all warmth and wiggles, with a friendly, outgoing personality that makes her an instant favorite wherever she goes. She absolutely adores people, especially kids, and has a gentle, easygoing way about her that makes her a natural family dog. Whether she’s greeting you with her soft eyes and happy tail or settling in beside you for some quiet time, Miss Montana is tuned in and ready to connect. Her love language is simple: belly rubs and cuddles. Give her a soft spot to curl up and a few scratches, and she’s in heaven. She’s the kind of dog who will happily follow you from room to room, just to be near you. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will fit right into family life, Miss Montana is ready to be your girl. Miss Montana is currently in a home with other dogs but does not like sharing her people so would do best in a home without other dogs at this time. She walks well on leash and will bark at other dog but is easily redirected. She is still young so would benefit from training to help her confidence/behavior with other dogs.
