Story
Karma was rescued from Mississippi in 2019. A rescue shelter in Charlestown picked him up in early 2020. My wife and I adopted Karma in May 2020. Karma is very loyal to me. But he is also very reactive while walking on-leash. Karma is fine at dog parks and daycare facilities. But, he definitely has anxiety issues during boarding. He will play with other dogs. But he will only eat a small amount of food that I have provided. Karma tore the ligament in his left rear leg in 2024. So, he has to take frequent breaks while playing with other dogs.

Visit our event page (https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/) to see which one—event listings are usually updated on Fridays with attending dogs. Baxter is a friendly pup ready to complete your family. He’s energetic and enjoys playing, including tug of war. When out exploring, he can get a little skittish, but just needs some time and patience. He also sometimes can’t decide where he wants to go, but he’ll take direction from his person. As a border collie mix, this clever boy will need lots of exercise and mental stimulation. He’s already shown off his “sit” skills, and he’s quite keen for his reward, so with some dedication from his family, and lots of snacks,, he’s likely to pick up some other cues. After he’s worn out from playing or walking, Baxter is ready to relax on the couch and get some well deserved pets. He’s ready to find out if you’re his forever family.

Story
Rocky was rescued on his D-Day from a shelter. He and his housemate sister Grace (also listed) were showing too much stress and anxiety in the shelter, therefore set to be euthanized. Rocky arrived to his foster home with obvious malnutrition and upper respiratory infection. It took a little bit for him to warm up to people helping him, but then he became a very happy tailwagging boy! Good nutrition started and infection was treated and then he was neutered… which he did not find amusing at all. He and his little sister Grace race all around the yard and wrestle and play and romp. They take treats nicely and are getting potty trained and leash trained. Rocky had never had a bath when he arrived and he absolutely loves them, even lounging in the tub! He’s a very happy boy with a big smile and a happy tail. He will be 50 to 60 pounds when he is finally filled out completely. He is a sweet boy who does well on his Vet Clinic visits, but requires some time to warm up to people visiting the house. They need to earn his trust before he will approach them. Rocky needs a fenced yard and a home that will give him an active lifestyle. He rides good in the car and is not bothered by storms. contact irondawgs13@gmail.com for adoption application
