Story
Hi, my name is Beauty and I am about 10 years old, a bigger gal (shhh... about 34 pounds).  I am a casual and low-key girl, looking for a home to spend my days relaxing and chilling with my people.  Wherever I live, I might need to be the only dog, or be with very laid back others, and I will do just fine!  I am very submissive with my people, and I live to please!  I do well in a large crate if I need to be home alone.  I had surgery to repair one of my hind legs and because of arthritis in that leg, I am not the kind to go for “long walks on the ‘beach’” (er, I guess since this is Texas, it would be the sidewalk!), and I don’t care for stairs or hard floors that might be slippery, but I make up for my special requests in my cuteness and great companionship!  I can't jump up on furniture or get off of the couch if you have helped me up to lay with you.  I do well in the car if you ever wanna take me places, though!  My eyes were very bad and hurt me so they were removed by the kind vet and I feel much better now.  I also have a habit now of walking on three legs as my one leg with arthritis hurts me from time to time.  I would love to find a home where my person or people are home a lot or can take me places with them.  My adoption fee is $75. NEEDS TO BE AN ONLY DOG AND NO YOUNG CHILDREN, NEEDS BACKYARD.If you are interested in any of our Boston Terriers or would like to be eligible to adopt a Boston Terrier through our rescue in the future, please fill out an application. Story
Hello there! My name is Miss Priss and I am a sweet 10-year-old gal who weights 29 pounds. I do need to lose a bit of weight according to my foster Dad and I think he is probably right, but I don't want to talk about that.  My foster Dad has actually put me on this thing called a diet (I thought that was only for humans!) and I have actually started losing weight.  I am now a slimmer girl at 29 lbs., but he says I still need to lose a little more.  I am a sweet girl who is calm and low key but can also be quite peppy and even a little feisty now that I have lost a few pounds.   Priss likes to play tug of war with her foster Dad but hasn't quite learned the rules of engagement with other dogs.  She currently has two foster siblings in her foster home and has taken to the bow and hop invitation to play or indulge in tug of war but is still learning how to play well with others.  I love going for walks and am a great cuddler.  I will curl up next to you on the sofa or in bed and I have a very soft snore that is very endearing according to my foster Dad. I am crate trained, house trained and love to nom-nom on certain stuffies that have grunts and squeaks in them.  Priss is also fascinated with squirrels and birds! I am a great companion and would probably do best with a more mature person or couple, though I love meeting people of any age. I am a gentle and polite lady who would love to be part of your family.  Miss Priss has an aggressive cancer (sarcoma) on her rear leg that may require surgery once she reaches her goal weight, just a few more pounds to go. Miss Priss is a hospice foster and will live out the rest of her days with her amazing foster daddy!  He will provide all of the love and care this sweet girl needs and deserves. If you would like to make a donation to help with her care it would be appreciated. Thank you for your continued support in our rescue efforts! Story
Hi there!  My name is Elliot.  I am 1 year old and weigh 23 pounds. I am a VERY special little boy!  I love to play with everyone, and I am just a happy go lucky little guy!  I do have one unique and special feature – I have spina bifida.  Those official sounding words just mean that I am a diaper baby for life.  I am very good about getting my diaper changed, and it really doesn’t bother me at all!  I am crate trained, can use a doggie door, and am good with other dogs.  I do need a home with no stairs, but I can manage porch stairs as long as it's only 2 or 3 and I need my people to make sure I don’t jump up and down on account of my spine, but for the extra care I need, I more than make up for it in play time, snuggles, MORE snuggles, and having enough energy to do whatever you want to do together!  Oh and I love to travel! my foster mama says that I am a perfect gentleman in other peoples homes. Even though I don’t need to go outside to go potty, I absolutely LOVE to spend time running around outside, free and fun!  My ideal family will be one who will learn about my condition and love me even more for it, will change my diaper for me, and spend lots of time outside with me so I can run around without it!  If you are looking for an extra-extra-extra special Boston, I hope you will consider me!  My adoption fee is $425.   REQUIRES DIAPERS ONGOING.If you are interested in any of our Boston Terriers or would like to be eligible to adopt a Boston Terrier through our rescue in the future, please fill out an application. I am blind but I can still hear ok.   I love to chase the water outside from the garden hose, it’s so fun to try to bite it!  I also love playing with my tennis ball, as long as it’s moving I can hear it and really do like to play!  I am house trained, crate trained, and good with other dogs.  Aside from playing with the water or my ball, I am a pretty calm guy.  I love attention, and want to be with people.  If you are looking for a sweet older gentleman to join your household, I would love to hear from you!  The adoption fee for me is $_75_, but if you are a senior yourself, our adoption fee is waived. If you are interested in any of our Boston Terriers or would like to be eligible to adopt a Boston Terrier through our rescue in the future, please fill out an application. Story
Buster is a 6-month-old small terrier mix who came to the shelter emaciated and partially paralyzed.... but with the sweetest demeanor ever! He wasn't able to move his back legs and he immediately went to a vet and then a foster home. Fortunately, the vet determined hie didn't have permanent damage and recommended physical and laser therapy... and plenty of high quality food. After just a couple weeks, he was walking, albeit a bit wobbly, and had gained weight. He is highly treat motivated and this helps his foster mom keep up with the therapies and keeping him working those back legs. It's now been almost since 2 months since we found him and he is doing so well! Still a little wobbly but fully walking, running, pouncing ... .just like a typical puppy. He isn't very big at 5 months old and we expect him to grow up to be a "medium-size" pooch. He is full of spunk and guaranteed to make you laugh! He's had a rough start to his short life but he's a champ and ready for the world ahead of him! The family that adopts him with be so so lucky to have him in their lives!!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Darling little Cherry is a 4 1/2-month-old Boston pup who has a cherry eye. She will be seeing the vet soon for a full evaluation and we will schedule her surgery once she has a complete work-up. Cherry is extremely affectionate, and she does really well with young children and other dogs. Her foster family raves about her, and she's got a real fan club in the two young girls with whom she shares her current home. More to come after her next vet visit! Note: We are not accepting applications for Cherry at this time. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.***Vet Hold**   Charlie was hit by a car and sustained a fractured spine, traumatic brain injury, severe road rash to both his eyes and his body.  He spent two months in the hospital recovering from his injuries. We were able to save both his eyes but he does have limited vision in them. He is currently a paraplegic and gets around in a wheelchair but he is gaining more and more use of his legs every day.  Our hope that he will be able to walk on all 4's again in the future. He does have some issues with controlling his bladder.  This is related to his fractured spine.  As this heals, his control increases.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 29, 2023, 6:06 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Levi! Levi came to us in mid-January from the North Texas area. He is a 10-11 year old Boston Terrier mix (likely mixed with rat terrier, or a similar breed). He is mostly housetrained, though he does tend to mark a bit. His foster mom is working on that behavior, but he is otherwise a perfect gentleman. He gets along great with other dogs and cats, and he loves to snuggle with his furry friends. He also rides like a pro in the car! Levi is heartworm negative and current on his vaccines. He will be neutered on February 10th, and he'll be available for adoption after a 7-10 days of recuperation time. Bonjour! My name is Portia and I am a 3 year old French Bulldog. I weigh 14 pounds. I'm a petite gal! I love to cuddle and I love to be near my human.I am not super playful with the dogs in my foster home but I get along with them just fine although I am a bit of a bossy gal and a little possessive of my toys. I would do best in a home with submissive dogs. I also get along nicely with the family cat. I am working on my housetraining. I am crate and leash trained. I am fine with kids and senior folks.  I am healing from some issues to my back legs but I can walk just fine and get around great.  I am a gentle girl looking for a family or person to snuggle and love. Hi there, my name is Heart, nice to meet you! I am a 5 year old, spunky little tripod!  I'm a very cuddly girl and very devoted to my people.  I am a little timid at first, and am not a big fan of change, but I am getting more brave, bold and feisty every day! I get along well with the dogs at my foster home, and I'm working on walking with a harness.  I'm learning how to navigate stairs, which is a big accomplishment for me since I am missing my front leg, but I would prefer a home without stairs.  I'm not yet fully trained, but I'm working on it.  I would be great for a senior to adopt.  I'm a low energy, very chill girl, and did I mention I'm very cuddly? I really enjoy being with my people as much as possible.  I am looking for a quiet home with not too much going on all the time.  My adoption fee is $525.If you are interested in any of our Boston Terriers or would like to be eligible to adopt a Boston Terrier through our rescue in the future, please fill out an application.
