Whether sliding down a hill, chasing water from a hose, or engaging in solitary play, she ensures a chuckle-worthy time! This independent gal gets along with other dogs and has done best with her male foster siblings who are laid back and willing to let her take charge. Orchid would also be happy being the only pet where she can hoard all the love for herself! Speaking of hoarding, this little dragon loves toys and won’t hesitate to add a stray toy to her collection! This sassy lassie isn’t afraid to tell it like it is and stand up for her beliefs! She has a variety of ways to communicate with you and most conversations with her leave you giggling! Orchid's adorable antics and vibrant spirit make her an incredibly rewarding companion. Orchid is a social butterfly, and enjoys meeting new people and going to new places! She’s great in the car and loves neighborhood strolls! Orchid will bond strongly with someone able to show her patience and structure. She’s not huge on snuggling her person, but everyone once in a while, she’ll crawl onto your lap and demand all your affection!  Orchid has food and environmental allergies that require her to be on a strict diet. Orchid is on daily medication, weekly baths, and twice monthly injections to help keep her skin healthy and itch-free. She also has a heart condition that she takes medication for, and needs a cardiology recheck yearly.  Orchid is 5 years old, weighs 47 pounds, and appears to be a Boston Terrier/Bulldog mix. This adorable, sassy, and funny girl instantly brightens up any room and she can’t wait to find her forever home! Orchid’s adoption fee is $450. Welcome Pumpkin to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 2-year old Boston Terrier/Lab or Cattle Dog is our best estimate. She has a rounded head with an upturned nose which has helped us come to this breed mix. She knows sit and will sit nicely for a treat. She likes treats and takes them nicely out of your hand. She likes toys and will give up her toy easily. She is good on leash even though she does pull some. She is very happy and really likes attention. She is good with the dogs that she has met at the shelter. She is also good in her kennel. She is an adorable dog and will make some lucky family a wonderful companion. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is vaccinated, spayed, healthy and ready for her forever home. She would be a great family companion and would be great with a moderately active family. She is active but will calm down and be relaxed after a small amount of activity. She in our opinion a perfect dog. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She moderately sheds and weighs about 40 pounds. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Chula is a sweet and feisty little love bug! Don't let her age fool you! She is very spry! She enjoys walks each day~ Walks at a good clip! She enjoys relaxing on her bed and will let you know if she's in the mood to snuggle by you on the couch! And sleeping in your bed on occasion! Chula knows some basic commands- Sit & shake! High Five! Easy going and very pleasant in the home with impeccable house manners. House trained she goes to the door to cue you to let her out for potty. She may have some slight hearing loss, but when it comes to the rustle of the treat bag there's no issue! Her vision is good! Loves her humans- She would be best suited in a home where someone works from home or an active retired person that would like a pleasant walking companion. She is lovely & loyal, that said she wants to be your one and only pet in your home! Chula is not fond of other dogs. We are unsure of cats - but has not been interested when she's seen cats or rabbits on her walks- Possibly could live with one dog savvy cat. Her sweet demeanor makes her easy to fall in love with! Oreo, a delicious treat good any time of the day, hey hey, that's me! Just twist, lick and dunk along with me for a feel good moment anytime of the day! I have a cookie named just for me...well I haven't been around since 1912 so I guess I was named after the cookie. Either way, we're both sweet but get this, you won't have any guilt indulging in this Oreo!!! I'm only around 10months old and came in with a broken leg. We got me all fixed up and I can now run and jump and chase the other foster pups around!! I will hold that leg up every once in awhile but then I'm off on my next adventure using that leg just fine. I come in at the top end of the small category of 25lbs. I shouldn't get much bigger(taller) but may but on a few filling-out pounds. I'm a great size for any and all your action adventures but also a great size for being your BFF. I'm pretty quiet, have a super sweet disposition and get along great with other dogs. I could learn to tolerate a cat but it would probably be best if my home was cat free. I'm house and crate trained and let me tell you, that's a fantastic bonus for my new family. I also do well on the leash and love going for my daily walks! Do you need a BFF? A constant in your life? A lil cohort up for any crime you want to try? Animal Profile: Bradley  is a handsome male Boston Terrier mix, estimated to be 12 weeks old. He and his siblings along with their mom Georgia (See Picture) were owner surrendered and taken in by our rescue partner in Texas and is currently enjoying her foster home with children and resident dogs while getting ready for their trip to the PNW to find her forever homes.  Foster Update:  Bradley is a fun little puppy. He's very playful and interacts well with people and dogs of all ages. We are working on his potty training and he now makes noises when a pee/potty break is needed. He's mostly sleeping through the night except for a bathroom break as his bladder is still tiny. Highly food motivated and trainable. He’s starting to understand commands and does respond positively to treats. Tustin the happiest boy you will ever meet was in a death camp of a scary shelter in CA. He had zero public interest & zero rescue interest on social media. The shelter had been exposed to viruses & made Tustin & his friends even more urgent to save before it was to late. He was posted looking so very friendly & happy & yet was going to die for no reason at all except because of humans. It appears at the age of 1 year old he was going to die which is absolutely unacceptable & disgusting. His life had just begun & was going to be over. We rescued this beautiful little lad & 4 other sweet baby dolls out of that same kill shelter who desperately needed help. That day was 1 very sad & joyous day all at the same time. Without his outstanding foster mum this would not of happened. Tustin who is now looking for his very own forever home & who will never give up on him again & dump him & love him just as his foster family & we do. After we got Tustin all his care with his amazing foster mum he will be bought back to WA state from CA where he can’t wait to find him his loving forever home. You would never know with how happy Tustin is that he almost lost his life & that people had given up on this funny little guy. Thank goodness this boy is so forgiving for what humans have done to him. His foster mum said he is a very spirited happy little dog. He loves everyone in the home & adores playing with his foster siblings. Tustin has experienced going to doggy daycare to socialize him with other dogs with countless breeds & does well. Tustin needs a home where he can sleep in bed with his new forever home so they had better make room his foster mum said for this little man in the bed with you. The absolute insanity to think this baby doll ended up in one of the highest kill shelters in CA is soul destroying. This boy screams personality, he is always on the move. Such a happy soul. Tustin just wants to be loved. Disturbing to think no one wanted him & he was ready to die. The level of absolute madness here is so deeply sad for many of these beautiful souls out of CA kill shelters. He loves everyone he meets & enjoys being cuddled to & given love. That’s when he is standing still. Tustin likes to explore & check out everything in his foster home. He would be the type of boy who would like to experience many adventures. Tustin is a great eater & not shy about his food & treats. Tustin also enjoys wearing a good outfit. Tustin’s new forever home must have a fully fenced secured backyard for his safety. He enjoys going out into the backyard in his foster home & running around playing with his friends. Tustin has been great with his baths because he started having them with us in his loving foster home the moment he was rescued so he is used to them. He loves men & woman & has put on weight instantly in his foster home. Tustin rides beautifully in the car & enjoys a good journey & still needs continued work walking on his harness & leash. When in the car if you on the outside & he is in the car, he is going to let you know he wants to be with you. We are looking for a forever home for Tustin where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them & there must be another dog or dogs in the home for him to thrive. Tustin loves other dogs & needs another dog or dogs in the home to play with. This is mandatory for his new home. We are also looking for a crate free home for the little lad only. He was left in a cage at the shelter until we rescued him. Tustin is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be patient with him. Tustin has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & was fostered in CA with other dogs & does well with them & enjoys their company. In his foster home he is with dogs. It’s mandatory for him to be in a home with playful dogs. A fenced backyard is also mandatory. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take him to places where there are other dogs. That will not work, another dog or dogs is mandatory. Tustin is roughly just 1 year & 3 months old & 17 lbs & is perhaps a pug mix & what he is mixed with we are not sure at all. He is male, neutered by laser by our wonderful vets. He had a dental scale & polish along with dental x-rays. He is microchipped. He is heart worm negative, had a 4DX done to test for parasites & up to date on his shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed. Tustin/Rusty has been around cats since being in the rescue in his foster home & did well with the cat in the foster home but doesn’t mean he will do well with all cats. But it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together. We have not had him around small children so we do not recommend small children nor cats & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children. We were not there when Tustin was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Tustin’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Tustin potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Tustin has been through many traumas in his short time on this earth so when applying this needs to be kept in mind & for his care. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Tustin & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Spot who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this spirited little lad. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner.
