Story
Our sweet Dixie was found as a stray on the loud and scary streets of Houston. She was brought to a high-kill shelter but was saved from euthanasia just in the nick of time. She was brought up to our foster in Salem OR, where, for the first time in her life, she was finally safe and loved. When we first met her, she was scared and unsure of the world around her. But today she is a HAPPY baby who loves playing with other dogs and soaking up all the love she can get. At first, she can be a little nervous around new humans, but with a little time and some yummy treats, she warms up pretty quickly. She is incredibly smart and highly food motivated. She learned how to walk on a leash in a single day and then how to "sit" the next day in just a couple of hours. She is a year old but still has the puppy playfulness and curiosity. She has learned to LOVE going for walks and running and playing with other dogs. But she also loves napping, chewing on her bones and snuggling on the couch. Dixie has the cutest underbite, which causes her lip to get caught on her teefs. Her nose has the slightest upturn, and her eyes are slightly turned outward. She is literally one-of-a kind, and we think she is just perfectly imperfect. She has been spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. She is potty trained, leash trained, and crate trained. She is currently fostered with dogs and a cat, so we know she is good with them. Based on her docile temperament, we believe she would be perfect with kids too but may need some time to warm up before she played with them. Dixie is currently in a foster home in Salem, Oregon. She is available for meet and greets with approved applicants. Dogs like Dixie are the reason rescue matters. One chance can change everything. If you have fallen madly in love and would like to make this baby girl a part of your family, then please fill out an adoption application found at SpringBranchRescue.org or email rachel.springbranchrescue@gmail.com for more information about her. ##2735778##

Story
Hi, I’m Polo! My brother Marco and I are best friends and cannot be separated. We are both happy and playful, but Marco is a little more outgoing than I am. I’m a little more reserved and shy. I still love activities like walks, car rides, and playing in the yard. Marco and I are really good boys - housetrained, not mischievous, and can be left alone at home for short periods. We do need a little more practice leash walking. We also need a fenced yard so we can play off-leash together. Since we’re happy with just each other, we don’t want to live with other dogs, cats, or kids under 10. We’re all you need, we promise! If you're interested in adopting us, first fill out an adoption application, and then if you look good the rescue requires a home visit and an excellent vet reference. CLBTRF matches families with dogs based on what the particular dog(s) need and how the family can accommodate those needs. Polo and I need an active family to provide enrichment of walks, hikes and activities in the yard. But most of all, we have to be adopted as a pair. Here's a little more about me: Housetrained? Yes Leash-trained? Yes, but there’s room for improvement Rides well in a car? Yes Good with other dogs? No, just my brother Marco Good with cats? No Good with young children? Yes, okay with respectful children 10 and older. Good with strangers? Yes Shy or confident? A little more shy than Marco, but still friendly! Apartment Friendly? No. Fenced yard required. Story
Hi! I’m Rosie! I’m 9 years old and weigh 21lbs. Everyone who meets me says I’m a total sweetheart, and I’ll make you smile all day long! I get along great with other dogs, and am highly social - as long as the dogs are well socialized, we will get along great! Cats and kids, though, are not for me. I’ve never been around either and they make me nervous, so I want to chase them down! Not a good situation for any of us! But I really, really love people. I love to snuggle on the couch or in bed just as much as I love taking walks. I currently walk two times a day with my foster family for 1-1.5 miles each time. I would LOVE to be your walking buddy. I’m also a super smart girl, which can get me in a little trouble! I can open my crate by myself, and now my mom has to use an extra latch to keep me safe in there. I can open doors and gates, so I’m what the rescue calls a “high flight risk,” I just love mischief! But it could be unsafe for me to get out, so it’s important that I be kept safe and secure and that my family is very mindful of this. I’m house trained and mostly crate trained. Like I said, I can get out of my crate, but I can also be trusted to be left out in the house for short periods of time. I’d do best with someone who works from home so I can be near them all day. Plus then we can take walks when they need a break! Here's a little more about me: Housetrained? Yes Leash-trained? Yes Rides well in a car? Yes Good with other dogs? Yes Good with cats? No Good with young children? No Good with strangers? Yes Shy or confident? Confident Apartment Friendly? No, I like to have time outside in my yard in addition to my walks. Story
Meet Ian – Your Slightly Wonky, Totally Wonderful Adventure Buddy If you like piña coladas and getting caught in the rain… Ian might just be your perfect match. This little Boston Terrier mix lives life full throttle—zooming through the yard like he’s racing in the Indy 500, making pit stops in imaginary swamps with Shrek, and embracing every muddy, joy-filled moment along the way (bonus points if you don’t mind getting a little dirty with him). Ian is a young, playful pup with a heart as big as his personality. He came into rescue with a shattered hip that has since healed, leaving him with an adorable “wonky” gait. When he runs, his back leg sometimes flails out to the side—but it doesn’t slow him down one bit. If anything, it just makes him even more unforgettable. Personality & Play Style: Ian is a social, toy-loving goofball who thrives on fun. He always has a toy in his mouth—seriously, always. He’ll take them outside, bring them back in, and politely “check” them at the door until you hand them back. He loves playing with other dogs, especially games of chase and keep-away. After playtime, Ian enjoys winding down with his favorite toy and appreciates a little personal space during his chill time. Because of this, he’d do best with a laid-back, respectful dog companion—especially one around his size or slightly smaller who won’t bother him when he’s relaxing. Snuggles Included: Once the zoomies are out, Ian is all about couch time. He’ll curl up beside you, toy in tow, and drift off while you watch TV. The perfect mix of playful and snuggly. Communication Style (aka his signature move): Ian has the best voice—a raspy, screechy, baby pterodactyl sound that he proudly uses to let you know when he’s ready to come out of his crate or needs a potty break. It’s hilarious, endearing, and very effective. He’ll also quietly go sit by the door, so keep an eye out—he’s a good boy who just needs you to notice his polite signals. Mealtime & Care: Ian is an enthusiastic foodie, so he uses a slow feeder bowl to keep mealtime safe and comfortable. Medical Transparency: Due to his past injury, Ian has diabetes insipidus. The good news: • No injections required • Managed with oral medication twice daily • Just needs a few extra potty breaks His condition is well-managed, and he’s living a happy, active, zoomie-filled life. The Perfect Home for Ian: • An active home that enjoys play, laughter, and a little chaos • A consistent adopter who can manage his simple medical routine • A respectful dog companion—or he’d love being your one and only • Someone who appreciates a quirky, lovable personality Ian isn’t just a dog—he’s an experience. He’ll make you laugh daily, keep life interesting, and then curl up next to you like he’s always belonged there. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Meet Briggs! He is a 8 year old boston terrier that I have been fostering for the past few months. He is super sweet and loves to be around people as much as he can. He follows me around the house everywhere I go, even to the bathroom if I would let him. lol His best trait is that he's smiles with his underbite when you pet him. See photo :) While he has been ok around other dogs, he does have anxious tendencies so I think it would be best if he goes to a home as an only dog. If you have a dog, he would need to be around a dog that is layed back. I haven't seen him around cats so unsure if that would be ok. Also I think it would be best if he goes to a home to an owner that works from home or a home that has someone at home most days of the week. Briggs is crate trained but definately prefers to sleep in the bed with humans, he does fine either way. Briggs does ok on a leash but does have some pulling tendencies, with a little work/training that could easily be corrected.

These pups are in Brier, Washington too!

Story
FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Brewer! Brewer is a 2-year-old, 30 lb French Bulldog mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter after his owner could no longer care for him. This charming guy is full of personality and sure to keep you smiling! Brewer is sweet, spunky, goofy, and packed with character. He does well with other dogs, but he definitely prefers more laid-back, lower-energy companions. High-energy dogs aren’t really his style, and he can be a bit bossy at times, so he’ll do best either as an only dog with continued socialization or in a home with a calm, easygoing canine buddy. Brewer is treat-motivated, walks well on leash, and is overall a well-adjusted, easygoing guy. He enjoys getting out for walks and spending time with his people, but he’s not over-the-top demanding—just a good balance of fun and chill. If you’re looking for a goofy, lovable companion with a big personality and a preference for the simpler, more relaxed side of life, Brewer might just be your perfect match! Brewer is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $600.

Story
FOREVER HOME NEEDED (currently in foster care) Meet Biscuit, a 7 year-old Frenchie that her foster family affectionately calls "Grubs" . She's cute, short/small and a little pudgy ~ a big girl in small dog's body. She's pretty wrinkly and makes funny grumbling noises. You will not find a more affectionate bulldog! Gubs is originally from an overcrowded shelter in CA and has been a mamma before. Her eye was missing long before she arrived at our rescue, and the eye injury site is very stable and does not require any monitoring or maintenance. She's extremely affectionate and will want to crawl into your lap for cuddles and kisses. She's very cute and loves affection from people but will brawl with other dogs for affection. She's pretty good about food boundaries with other dogs. She is house-trained but can be lazy and will need supervision. She really like her potty-pad. She doesn't like the rain or bad weather. Some cajoling will need to happen. She's on a hormone support chewable. It's helpful to support her since she was a breeding dog and has had many litters. She doens't need this medication to stay healthy; it just helps her with have longer bladder control. Grubs is currently in a home with 3 other dogs, two little chihuahua mixes and an English Bulldog. She will compete for attention so her adopters will need to be careful to give her attention and affection at the right time. The foster's manage well in the household by not giving in to her triggers but we do think that she would do best as an only dog in the home. She could be place with other little dogs that won't mind her being dominant. She will have issues with a larger dog in the home. Grub will require a family who will keep her active (she loves to walk) and has brachycephalic dog ownership experience. She would do best as the only dog in the home but with regular access to other dogs so that she will remain well socialized. Grubs does well with other dogs as long as there is good leadership and monitoring. She's has had a vet checkup. She was severely overweight at 42lb at her highest. She's down to about 25lbs. She's small framed for a Frenchie. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $400.

Story
FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Jojo! Jojo is a 7-month-old, 19 lb Bulldog/Corgi mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. This adorable girl is full of personality, puppy charm, and playful energy! Jojo can be a little shy at first, but once she feels comfortable, she turns into a confident, goofy, and very playful pup. She loves having fun, exploring the world, and being part of the action! She does well with other dogs and would especially love to have another well-adjusted canine companion in the home to be her playmate, help show her the ropes, and continue building her confidence as she grows. Jojo is still very much a puppy and will need a home prepared for all the training, structure, patience, and guidance that comes with raising a young dog. She’s energetic, curious, and eager to experience life, so she’ll thrive in a home committed to keeping her well-socialized and giving her an active, outgoing lifestyle. She can also be a bit vocal and barky at times, so she would do best in a standalone home rather than an apartment or condo setting. Jojo is beautiful, adorable, and full of potential. With the right home, she’s going to grow into an amazing companion and adventure buddy. If you’re looking for a fun, playful pup with lots of personality and love to give, Jojo might just be your perfect match! Jojo is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.
