1️⃣ Health Status
* Spayed: Yes.
* Other: Microchipped, and heartworm negative
2️⃣ Rescue Story
* Klein was rescued from a slaughterhouse in Jeongeup along with four siblings when they were puppies. After spending a year at the Jeongeup Shelter, they were placed on the euthanasia list. Fortunately, all four siblings, including Klein, were rescued just in time.
3️⃣ Personality & Characteristics
* Interaction with People: Is shy but simultaneously curious and affectionate. Her social skills have improved significantly. Now, tries to approach strangers first to sniff them! While she is warmer toward women, she remains cautious around adult men and may hide behind her guardian. Greets her family with a wagging tail and happy whimpers and loves sleeping near her female guardian. Showed little interest in young children when visiting dog cafes.
* Interaction with Dogs: A true gentle soul. Approaches other dogs calmly with a wagging tail. Is more proactive and playful with close "dog friends," showing a desire to interact and play.
* Interaction with Cats: Her excitement level regarding cats has decreased, but she may still try to chase them during walks. Sudden leash pulling may occur, so handlers should stay alert.
* Separation Anxiety: It has improved, but she still shows symptoms (chewing plants, howling, barking) if the guardian’s outing is irregular. Even with a routine schedule, she may open doors inside the house or howl if she feels anxious.
* Potty Training: Previously refused to go indoors but has recently started. If pads are laid out, she is about 90% successful. However, she strongly prefers outdoors and likes to mark during walks.
* Grooming & Care: Tolerates baths and brushing well, even if she doesn't "love" them. Is still wary of the hairdryer and might try to run away. Nail clipping is a bit scarier for her, so it currently requires two people (one to hold, one to clip). Toothbrushing is being introduced slowly using soft gauze and finger brushes.
* Walking Habits: Can be a "puller" when she sees a cat. While she sniffs stranger dogs, she doesn't linger and follows the guardian immediately when asked. As her confidence grows, she has become a bit stubborn—sitting or lying down to stare at the guardian when she wants to go a specific way. Her excitement levels usually drop after she relieves herself.
* Motion Sickness: No car sickness. However, she is frightened by neon signs or bright lights at night and prefers to be held.
* Biting/Aggression: None. Shows zero resource guarding or defensive/territorial aggression.
* Barking: May howl or bark after the guardian leaves. Also lets out short, happy whimpers when the guardian returns or comes out of a room.
* Likes: Treats and walks! Loves rolling in the grass. Enjoys chewing on hard objects (charging cables, plastic hangers, pencils, shoes) and loves lounging on the sofa when alone. Prefers warmth, so she enjoys wearing clothes and sleeps more soundly in them.
* Dislikes: Strangers approaching suddenly, loud noises, and bright neon lights at night. Dislikes sitting on cold floors and is wary of cramped, dark spaces like crates or kennels.
* Personality: Is a dog who is fearful of people but simultaneously leans on them deeply for support. Needs a patient family who can build trust over time. Thrives in a quiet, comfortable environment and is slowly learning to express her personality more every day.
