Story
Welcome Pumpkin to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 2-year old Boston Terrier/Lab or Cattle Dog is our best estimate. She has a rounded head with an upturned nose which has helped us come to this breed mix. She knows sit and will sit nicely for a treat. She likes treats and takes them nicely out of your hand. She likes toys and will give up her toy easily. She is good on leash even though she does pull some. She is very happy and really likes attention. She is good with the dogs that she has met at the shelter. She is also good in her kennel. She is an adorable dog and will make some lucky family a wonderful companion. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is vaccinated, spayed, healthy and ready for her forever home. She would be a great family companion and would be great with a moderately active family. She is active but will calm down and be relaxed after a small amount of activity. She in our opinion a perfect dog. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She moderately sheds and weighs about 40 pounds. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Orchid is looking for her forever home! A natural comedian, Orchid’s playful antics bring joy and laughter to any room. Whether sliding down a hill, chasing water from a hose, or engaging in solitary play, she ensures a chuckle-worthy time! This independent gal gets along with other dogs and has done best with her male foster siblings who are laid back and willing to let her take charge. Orchid would also be happy being the only pet where she can hoard all the love for herself! Speaking of hoarding, this little dragon loves toys and won’t hesitate to add a stray toy to her collection! This sassy lassie isn’t afraid to tell it like it is and stand up for her beliefs! She has a variety of ways to communicate with you and most conversations with her leave you giggling! Orchid's adorable antics and vibrant spirit make her an incredibly rewarding companion. Orchid is a social butterfly, and enjoys meeting new people and going to new places! She’s great in the car and loves neighborhood strolls! Orchid will bond strongly with someone able to show her patience and structure. She’s not huge on snuggling her person, but everyone once in a while, she’ll crawl onto your lap and demand all your affection!  Orchid has food and environmental allergies that require her to be on a strict diet. Orchid is on daily medication, weekly baths, and twice monthly injections to help keep her skin healthy and itch-free. She also has a heart condition that she takes medication for, and needs a cardiology recheck yearly.  Orchid is 5 years old, weighs 47 pounds, and appears to be a Boston Terrier/Bulldog mix. This adorable, sassy, and funny girl instantly brightens up any room and she can’t wait to find her forever home! Orchid’s adoption fee is $450. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old.  Fill out an adoption application for Orchid at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application See more photos of Orchid on her Facebook album! https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.855419746627714&type=3 ##1207738##

Story
Buddy a young male Boston Terrier with a lot of love to give. "Buddy is a sweet and gentle dog who is curious about the world around him. He can be a bit protective of his person. He is very smart and would love to bond with his new forever family learning basic commands and some basic manners class would really benefit him and his adopter. He is athletic, loves to go for daily walks 1-2 x per day. The dog park would not be for him as he is nervous around groups of dogs, requires a slow intro to new dog friends. Low key small dogs works for him. Securely, Fenced yard is required! If you are looking for an agility dog, he would be perfect! He is smart and wants to please. Great companion for someone who enjoys being active walking, currently walks 2-3x per day for up to 2 miles an outing and enjoys going hiking. Loves to ride in the car in his car seat. Buddy likes people-slow to warm up, but once he does he is very sweet once he gets to know you. He would do best in a quieter home without children would be best. Buddy would thrive with an easy going small dog to play with and build his confidence. He is loyal and would be a great companion~A person that works from home would be ideal, he would not do well being left for many hours on end. Looking for a family that can be patient and loving, that can commit to his training over time. He has been let down by his initial owner. We want Buddy to Live his Best Life!! He deserves it! ** For an application please reach out that is the first step for us to review- We require an excellent Veterinarian reference, a home visit and all of our Bostons are matched to the best possible home that will meet their needs. We thank you for your interest in Boston Terrier Rescue! Breed experienced adopter is required for Buddy. ( Boston, Frenchie, Bulldog)

Story
Hi, I’m Mabel! I’m six years old and weigh 21lbs. I’m most likely a bugg (a Boston terrier and pug mix) and that’s why I have my long curled tail. I lost my right eye a little while ago, but you wouldn’t know it by how I act — Except when I accidentally bump into things that are on my right side, oops! Because I only have one eye left, it’s super important that my eye is protected and taken care of. I’m not allowed to stick my head in bushes, and because I want to be near people all the time, you have to be careful you don’t run into me and bump my eye. I love taking walks, playing with my foster brother, getting belly rubs, and chasing squirrels. I’m very cheerful and get excited about pretty much everything. I can jump really high, but my foster mom says I can be excited and not jump, so I’m working on that. I love people, and I love some dogs. My foster brother is submissive and we get along great. I’d need a slow introduction to any new pets, but I am pretty adaptable! Because I still jump and want to lick all the time, I won’t be a good match for young children. Even with two walks a day, I'm still very excitable and active, so I’d need to go to a home where I can get my walks in and burn off some energy. I’m a great walking buddy! I love running around the yard and can be a bit impulsive so a securely fenced yard is required to keep me safe! Breed experience required. ( Have had boston, frenchie, pug before) Committed to excellent eye care for her only eye that remains- ie going to the opthamologist to maintain good vision and health of that eye. If you think you might be a match...The first step is to contact us and fill out an application. There are several steps to being approved. Application, Excellent Vet reference, phone interview, and home visit - We match our dogs with a family that is can meet the needs of each dog, thus providing success for the adopted dog, and the adoptive family.

Tony Lazuto is a cute, 3 year old Boston Terrier. Tony is a bit nervous and has been sensitive about handling at the shelter. He's a laidback guy who is looking for a calm family. Tony would like a family who can be respectful of his handling preferences and read his body language. We are recommending a teen/adult only home for Tony. Charlotte Good with dogs, cats, kids. Great in kennel. Cautious in beginning with men but once comfortable, very loving. She is still very much getting comfortable with surroundings and will NOT walk on leash so will need a yard while she gets trained. She needs an adopter with patience as she is easily spooked. Charlotte came to the rescue with a broken leg and was pregnant. She was likely hit by a car as her uterus had ruptured and had to be spayed immediately. She has a strong and very sweet spirit and will make someone's family complete. She LOVES kids and is good with other dogs. She has come very far with me in the short time she has been here so I know she will only gain more trust as time goes on. We have no idea what kind of situation she came from other than neglectful, so lets find her the BEST home!! Only the best need apply :) ADOPT DON'T SHOP!!! HER LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!!! Local adoption fee is $500 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $800 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

If you're looking for your next snuggle buddy, look no further than this sweet girl. Not only is Pippa a good snuggler, she is house trained and can use a doggie door. Pippa is people, dog, and cat friendly (though she prefers to be the alpha dog in the household). She considers her crate her safe space and will lie down in it if other dogs are getting too rambunctious. She likes to play but is a couch potato at heart. And she loves giving kisses. Pippa is being fostered in San Antonio Texas and is available for transport throughout the US and Canada. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/NAF/Dog

Story
Juliet~~~This sweetheart purebred pug came to our rescue as a result of a divorce. It was an emergency out reach as the wife was leaving the country. Juliet is a seven year old pug who has always known a loving environment and is beautifully kennel trained, leash trained, LOVES car rides, people, other dogs, & kitties. Juliet is on a definite scheduled routine of potty breaks, playtime, & meals. She is at an excellent weight & healthy. Juliet is acclimated to being held & loves attention. Her personality is true pug--- delightful & chill; yet, knows when to have fun!! This girl's age is perfect for someone not wanting to go through the puppy stage, which can be challenging as well as exhausting. Juliet is the perfect companion! Juliet is not a loud barker, she does NOT have separation anxiety & is an absolute joy as a very easy foster pup. We know she would love a family to call her own who knows this breed. She would do wonderfully in an apartment or a house since she is not a loud barker & an excellent, well-behaved dog. We look forward to her happy ever after! Juliet has been examined by our vet. She does NOT have any heart murmur, eye issues & she tested NEGATIVE for heartworms. Juliet has been spayed, microchipped, & had bloodwork completed--- Her results were excellent. Juliet has a dental scheduled for next week. She has received dhpp, bordetella, rabies vaccine, as well as canine influenza bivalent, & leptospirosis vaccines. She is given Simparica Trio on the first of every month for heartworm and flea/tick prevention. All vaccines are given by our outstanding vet & vet techs. We email all veterinary records prior to adoption. Juliet is dewormed every two weeks. We provide our rescued puppies and dogs with the highest quality veterinary care as our own pets receive. Proper veterinary care is our number one PRIORITY and it shows in the health of our rescued puppies and dogs. My adoption fee is $400 and transportation fee is $350 from Houston, Texas to Seattle, Washington. We use the highest standard transporter in the industry. We have many happy adopters on both West Coast, East Coast, and Canada. We are pleased to provide referrals upon request. Our greatest goal is to properly match a rescued pup with the perfect adopter. We have over twenty plus years experience in rescuing pets. It is truly our greatest joy. Story
Bella is the sweetest pug I've met so far. She always wants to be the center of attention, on your lap or being held like a baby while you rub her tummy. It takes no time for her to warm up to new people and dogs. Because she wants all the attention she can show subtle signs of leaning towards a dominant role in the pack but nothing aggressive. Bella doesn't bark but she does a lot of talking (best description is a groaning growling throat noise) which makes her humans giggle. She doesn't have the best hearing but her vision is great and she will laser focus on all humans in her realm and she has the biggest puppy dog eyes. Bella has known her sister Barley her whole life and is loyal to her. Their relationship is so sweet and they play well with each other and others. Don't let her age fool you, she is a spunky playful senior and is just a joy to everyone she meets!
