This is Stahli - to know her is to absolutely love her! Stahli is a 3 year old boxer/boston terrier mix up for adoption in Minneapolis, Minnesota!! Not only is she stunningly pretty with a shiny black coat, she's also very smart. She loves performing tricks and pleasing her people when asked to do things. She craves adoration and accolades! Her favorite things are: snuggling, playing with dogs & toys and watching the neighborhood comings and goings. She has a goofy playfulness to her when combined with her adorable underbite, makes her simply irresistible! Gotta love a good snaggletooth! Stahli will thrive in a stable home without a lot of commotion and chaos. She has a hard time processing new people entering her space which can overwhelm her at first. She needs to be allowed to approach people on her own terms. This applies at home and in crowded places. She enjoys going places & car rides, but needs you to advocate for her out in public if people rush up to her... otherwise, she'll vocalize her anxiety herself. She tends to recover quite quickly in public and recently enjoyed a fun evening out at a dog-friendly brewpub. To summarize Stahli: does she have a slight case of stranger danger, yes. But when Stahli loves you, she loves you with every fiber of her being and that will never waiver. She is a smart girl though and remembers people, so if she mistrusts someone, it can be hard to change her opinion. She is currently in a great foster home that is helping to build her confidence when meeting new people. Her new family will need to implement this new routine when visitors are coming over and coach new people through how to interact with her. In a heartbreaking turn of events, we were able to locate her original owner who could no longer afford to keep her. She is longing for a family again as she wants nothing more than to just hang out with you! In July of 2024 my partner and I adopted Rex from the Chatsworth Animal Shelter. Rex is a lovable, kind playful, energetic dog who just wants to be loved. Rex is a 3 year old Boxer/Pit but he is mostly Boxer. He loves to go on hikes, play fetch and jump for joy when you come home. Rex does have separation anxiety and is a natural guard dog. He loves to do his nightly walks around the home and confirm everything and everyone is in their right place. He needs a home that will allow him to let out his energy and let him be a guard dog. Rex is naturally cautious and is always nervous when meeting new people. Due to Rex being that natural guard dog and being a rescue, he unfortunately did bite a relative of ours when entering the home. Rex is not inherently aggressive, he is just scared. Rex needs to be in a home that can handle a behaviorally challenged dog, a home that will be patient with him. If you give him love, he will give you all the love in the world back.

Chapo is a beautiful and loving dog. It is breaking our heart to have to let him go. The only problem we have is since he was a puppy he became dog aggressive. At this time, we are unable to go on walks or take him to the dog park. We do not have the time or money to train him and unfortunately can no longer keep him. We want him to go to a loving home. I can give him the time and attention he needs.

We adopted Ruby from the Elk Grove Animal Shelter almost two years ago. She came home and immediately became friends with our other dogs and a great addition to our family. She has toy aggression and WILL NOT share toys with people or other dogs. No food aggression. Recently, she was attacked by our grouchy old chihuahua, and unfortunately Ruby responded and bit our other dog in the face. Since she is so small and old, her injuries were significant and we had to put our old chihuahua to sleep. We hate to re-home Ruby, but cannot keep her after this incident. Recommend you do NOT have small children or other dogs (especially small ones). Otherwise, she is sweet and loving. Likes to nap on the couch and snores very loud. We have an entire bag of Royal Canin bulldog food that would go with her. Also, she's very easy on walks. No pulling at all.
