Story
Meet Carl! Carl is a 7 year 60lb boxer mix. He is a sweet and friendly dog! Well-mannered, easy going and house trained…what more could you ask for?! Carl is neutral passing even reactive dogs and has tested well with dogs while at the shelter. Treat motivated and already knows sit and other cues. Carl has been calm in the crate but also does well around the house. A calm quiet house that will allow him to snuggle on the couch and enjoy long daily walks with him would be his ideal home. Positive reinforcement only is a must for this gentle guy. Fostered in: Davis, CA Carl's adoption donation is SPONSORED. Includes Neuter, DHPP, Bordatella, Rabies and microchip. Interested in adopting? 1. Please complete our online form at heartsforpawsrescue.com/adoption-application 2. We will respond in 1-3 days for a call! 3. If it sounds like a potential match for you and the dog of interest, we will promptly set up a meet and greet at the foster home Please note we are a foster-based rescue meaning our dogs are in individual foster homes throughout sac and the bay. For this reason we may only be able to schedule meets for one dog at a time (or litter). The average timeline between app submission and a meet and greet is 3-5 days. Please only submit an application for a specific dog if you are ready to adopt that animal within a week's time. Follow facebook.com/heartsforpawsrescue & Instagram @heartsforpawsrescue for more! Story
Get ready for a daily dose of goofiness and lovable antics! Gronk is a handsome man that turns heads wherever he goes. He loves to play, but also is an expert when it comes to couch snuggling. Gronk is getting very good at using the potty bells and is crate trained. He is still working on basic training, but has mastered “sit” and “down”. With a bit of training, he would make an excellent running buddy! Gronk is generally great on a leash, but can get excited when he sees a dog, human, squirrel, etc.. He is very exuberant when meeting new humans on his daily walks but will calm down after his initial excitement wears off. He would do best in a home that can provide plenty of exercise to help manage the sillies. He also loves to go for rides in the car and enjoys social outings. Because of resource guarding in regards to toys, Gronk needs to be the only dog in the home. Gronk is a BIG boy and doesn’t seem to understand just how big he is so he would do best in a home with active adults but without kids under 15. This big goofball will provided endless laughs, snuggles, and kisses for the right family.

Good with dogs, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Stormy is a compact version of the sweetest, silliest, squishy faced, white boxer girl. She is all wiggles when greeting you. She is super soft and loves scratches, snuggles and being close. Stormy is smart, curious and adventurous but silly and weird. She likes to snuggle, or play ball/toys outside or take a dip in the baby pool. Stormy enjoys a good couple of zoomies around the yard a few times a day. She gets along well and likes to go out and play with her big, boxer foster brothers or snuggle with them. She is also an expert napper. She takes treats very gently from your hand. Stormy is learning all sorts of things like manners, potty training and commands. Stormy is learning to crate and can spend a couple hours alone. She is working on putting weight on her little frame. She is such a pretty, petite girl. Stormy would do best in a home with snuggly people who like to take nap breaks and then go back out to play again.

Story
Kaci is the perfect combination of calm and playful! A bit timid with new people but warms up quickly. She loves to play wrestle with her foster brother but also loves to cozy up on your lap and snooze. During walks she often pulls ahead or towards other passing dogs but, she is learning leash manners and is responding well with treat rewards. Kaci loves going for walks and loves going for car rides where she can watch out the window. She is still learning what a toy is and how to play with it. Her favorite is chewing on a nylabone. Kaci is very food motivated and has already mastered both “sit” and “shake”. We are working on “stay” and she is doing well. Kaci is looking for and would thrive in a home where she can get lots of love and cuddles. She does well with dogs. She has not been around cats or small children.

Story
Hello, my name is Julie, my foster mommy says that I’m an adorable little ball of fur. As of 7/10/23 I was spayed. I just love playing with my brother Jake and new foster dog family. We sure do love to wrestle and play tug-a-war. I love my chew toys especially the squeaky ones. Jake seems to be bigger and eats more than me, but I’ll catch up. However, I tend to be more vocal than my brother. These days, all I want to do is sleep, play, eat and poop. What a life! I’m learning to walk on a leash and some basic commands. I’m your typical playful and energetic puppy with sharp baby teeth. When I’m done playing, I can be very affectionate. I sleep in my crate all night long and during the day, I love to explore everything in the backyard. Potty training is going well, and I will tell you that I must go outside. I’m a bundle of joy that would love a family who has the time to spend with me and would love to be my forever home. Please note: Puppies will only be adopted to a home with a preexisting adult dog, no children under age five, no unfenced pools, and where the puppy will not be home alone for long hours. Do not fill out an application for a puppy if you do not meet ALL requirements. Your application will be immediately denied and will not be processed.
