Story
Maddie is a sweet and friendly puppy who was found on the side of the road in a trash bag along with 4 other dogs. Can you imagine? We saved all five dogs and Maddie is the youngest, at only about 3-5 months old. She is happy go lucky despite her rough start in life. Maddie loves playing with toys and other dogs, but she mellows out nicely for her age as well. She will need work on potty training and leash training, but is doing well in her crate. Maddie is up to date on age appropriate vaccines & preventatives and we will work with a potential adopter to set up her spay. To learn more about the adoption process for Maddie, please call or text Brittany at 2037276625, thanks! Story
Delilah May is an adorable, six month old, Boxer puppy mix. She is about 40 lbs and all legs! She has big Boxer energy and loves to play fetch, go on walks, and is a great running partner (She's been clocked at an 8 minute mile!). She is a quick learner and will thrive in a home dedicated to helping her continue her training with positive reinforcement and plenty of exercise. She would love a larger doggie sibling or weekly daycare/play dates to keep her from getting bored. Delilah is very much a puppy and could accidentally knock over young children and smaller dogs with her playfulness. Children over 10 years old preferred. Delilah is house trained and crate trained. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. If you would like to meet this adorable bundle of joy and make her part of your family, please complete an application at https://forrescue.net/dog-application/ Delilah is located in Huntsville, AL. With transport available to your area. Friends of Rescue requires a virtual home visit and vet reference prior to all adoptions. All Friends of Rescue animals are indoor family members. Brenda

Story
Lucy had a hard life, and has the scars to show it. She was picked up from animal control and spent some time in doggie jail. She was lucky to cross the path of a kind person to get her out and got her vetting done. Heart worm treatment was done so she came into foster care. She is now looking for the perfect home to call her very own. Lucy is a bundle of energy. So a fenced yard would be great for her. A family that can take her on outdoor adventures would make this girl happy. She will need some training in manners, she likes to jump up & doesn't realize how big she is. She gets along very well with all the dogs in foster care, little ones & big ones. She takes cues from them very well and doesn't push her luck when they say nope don't want to play. A buddy would be great for her that has the play power as her. She would love to find her forever home and putting her old life behind her. Lucy is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested posfor heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. Story
Miranda is a very sweet young girl who is living life as a queen now. She hadn't been able to live that life before rescue stepped in and took her and her 3 pups. Miranda had found her way to the local landfill, got pregnant, and had her sweet babies. She has weaned them and they have all been adopted. Now it is Miranda's turn to find that forever home she deserves!! Watch her video on youtube - https://youtu.be/TvQD6IpMO8Y You can tell by watching the video, she is a people-pleaser and loves to listen to her human and receive the love and affection she can get! Miranda is crate and house-trained and has learned how to use a doggie door. She is very smart and loves to give kisses all day long. She is shy at first and is learning that she can trust humans again. Once she gets familiar with her surroundings, she does well. She would make a great addition to any family. She would love to stretch her legs by going on a walk, jog, or hike with her human. She hasn't been on a leash/harness for walking so her foster mom is working with her to get her used to it. She will be high-stepping it in no time at all!! Miranda does enjoy being a couch potato on these cold winter days. If you are looking for a great companion that is already housetrained, then look no further than Miranda! Miranda is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. Story
Killian was recently returned to us after being in his home for 8 years. He just turned 9, but he's still very healthy and energetic. He's around 55 lbs. He has tons of energy and loves to get outside and run and especially swim if possible. He's good with other dogs. He's lived with a cat all along and he's great with her. He's good with kids but he can be very excitable so very little kids might get knocked over. He absolutely loves attention and meeting new people but he can be nervous of some men at first. He has developed some skin allergies in his older age as well that are being managed. Killian has gone through a big change, but he's in foster care now and we know a loving family is out there for him to live out his senior days! Killian is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival.
